They made sure to check in and make sure our experience was 100% and that our wine and water glasses were never empty. I've been a huge fan of Postino's for several years and always love visiting any of their locations in the valley. The happy hour offers great prices and options, and it is the perfect location for a casual hang, cute date or girls night out! The obvious go to is the Bruschetta Board, my personal favorites include: apple and brie, prosciutto with figs and mascarpone, salmon with pesto and burrata, bacon, arugula and tomato! Quick FYI - as I type this my mouth waters! So delicious and addicting. Quick facts: - Apple and brie is a simple mixture but very satisfying. - Prosciutto with figs and mascarpone is a great balance of sweet & savory! - Salmon with pesto is absolutely amazing bold flavor and can be defined with the main ingredients alone! - Burrata, bacon, arugula and tomatoes (messy, everything is chopped and topped on a piece of bread) perfect combination of fresh tastes! Overall, I love Postino for the atmosphere, food, prices and vibes. The only reason I don't give this location five stars is because the service can be very slow. Although the staff is very friendly, my last few visits I've had to wait a very long time for my food and drinks, even when it wasn't busy on a Wednesday afternoon. read more

TLDR; the bruschetta board was amazing and I wish we ordered more to try all the different ones. A couple of people recommended this restaurant for the bruschetta board when I asked for places to eat or check out. Seemed like a really good spot for brunch. We got there right around opening and were seated immediately. For the bruschetta board, we chose the Brie and Apples with Fig Spread, Smoked Salmon with Pesto, Burrata Bacon Arugula and Tomato, and Ricotta with Dates and Pistachios. On top of that we split the Nine Iron Panini. Bruschetta board: I thought these servings would be bigger but they're pretty small. Which is a good thing especially if you want to try all the different ones. We could've ordered two of these and probably still be hungry. Overall, of the four we ordered, the most savory one goes to the Smoked Salmon and the sweetest one goes to the Brie and Apples. The bacon tasted so fresh because of all the vegetables. Wish we tried more but also I'm glad we picked these to try. Loved all of them! Nine Iron Panini: This was just alright, the chicken felt a littYou get the option to chose between focaccia and ciabatta bread to use for your panini. We mentioned that we were sharing it and they were nice enough to split the panini and chips for us without us asking them to. Overall, I would definitely come back if I'm in town again. Six years ago, my best friend Jared asked me to go on a date with him to Postino. He had never been, and I love pretentious food so I happily accepted; the rest was history. Over bruschetta, and wine, we joked and talked for hours. When dinner was over, neither of us wanted to leave, so we went to a nearby park and looked out at the water and talked about our future. Six months later, Jared surprise me by copying that date, but in reverse order. We started at the park, where he shocked me by proposing, and then we went to Postino where all our family was excitedly waiting to celebrate with us. It was a perfect night, made even better by my favorite restaurant. Postino is the best. All of my favorite memories involve sitting inside or on their patio, laughing with family and friends, at a variety of events. It's the perfect spot to go to for first dates, girls night's, birthday parties, double dates with people you don't know very well (because at least then if the company is lacking, at least the food delivers!) Etc. I make my husband celebrate our first date, our wedding anniversary and our proposalversary (100% made up) just to have more excuses to come here and eat their fancy crostinis. Their food is amazing, and you can't go wrong with the bruschetta. I've tried their sandwiches and salads which are excellent, and their butchers block is also fantastic. I've never had a wine here that I didn't love, and even their servers are effortlessly cool! It's a little unfair to all the other restaurants downtown how perfect this place is. The one downside would be the wait time, but hey, the best things in life are worth waiting for! I can't recommend Postino enough! read more

We spent a really nice evening outdoors at Postino in downtown Gilbert. Certainly, getting a table outside is a must in springtime in AZ! Lovely ambiance, good music playing, and a cool breeze (which ofc is not controlled by the restaurant :) ). The service was good with our waters being refilled ever so often before they hit the halfway point. Everyone was pleasant. What did we order? From the Appetizer section, we got the Skewers and the Sweet Potatoes. I didn't eat the skewers but my husband did and he liked them. The sweet potatoes were good, I don't usually like/order fried food but looks like they were pan fried and not steeped in oil or anything. The Calabrian chili dip is good. It's evident from the pics that we enjoyed both these appetizers! A Bruschetta board with 1. Caprese, 2. Artichoke spread 3. Apples, fig jam and Brie & 4. Arugula, bacon and burrata. Out of these four, I would not get the Caprese again because it was simply basil, mozzarella and tomato layered one on top of the other. But I have to add though that the menu description is accurate, says it's mozzarella, basil and tomato, it doesn't purport to be anything else. My kids ordered a couple of half salads - Hannah's Field and the Brussel Sprouts salads. They were both really good, fresh and yummy. I recommend going on a Sunday evening, it was easy getting a table outside immediately and not crowded at all. But of course, maybe that's not the case every Sunday. Why did I give Postino 4 stars - I've never found the food amazing at Postinos but a lot of it is really good - like the salads (I wasn't wowed by the bruschettas this time), and the ambiance makes it worth the return trip. read more

Definitely a must try in you are in Arizona! I've been to downtown Gilbert only once and saw that this place was super busy and had bright lights around it and I was curious to see what it was about. My friends actually wanted to come to this place on a Friday night and it happened to be the same place I saw! And the reviews were stellar so I literally had to go. I tried the board which comes with 4 different types of Brucetta that is cut into three pieces which is more than enough for one person. I tried the tomato and mozzarella, smoked salmon and pesto, salami and pesto and bacon brucetta with tomato. My favorite is as absolutely hands down the smoked salmon with pesto. The others were good but that salmon just melted in your mouth. The pesto was creamy and just delicious. My friends got the chicken panini and the portions were huge! It comes with chips or a salad. We each had to bring our food home. Plus, the wine is good as well. I had a glass of the Pinot noir and it was great with my meal. Definitely a fun place to go to with friends! read more

I am retired and am a full time RVer. I wintered here again this year, but am currently awaiting a part for the RV; therefore, I'm doing some food delivery driving in the area to make time pass more quickly. I've yet to eat at your establishment, but I have contact with your staff 2-4 times/day. I can't put into words how impressed I am with your staff (especially the young ladies manning the front.) All of them have been professional, sweet and helpful especially the two working tonight (Thursday 5/30.) All the employees are incredible, but these two are just off the charts. I've worked in Hotel/Restaurant Management and sales/customer service for over 30 years and these two are very special. I'm also a professional people watcher and having been in the business for a long time, I enjoy watching every customer interaction if I have to wait for my food to deliver. They never forget that they're "on stage" and even their poise when the restaurant is slammed is impressive especially when when one considers how young they are. You really appear to have a great team and apparently, you've done a great job training them. If I lived in the area and was still working, I would try and steal as many of them that I could to come work for me....even though it appears that most of them are happy working there. Getting there: Postino is off the main street in downtown Gilbert. There is parking around the back of Oregano, which is where we parked. Experience: I was super excited to try this place because of the Bruschetta boards, and they did not disappoint. You have the option of choosing between 4 of their 12 options. The crispy cauliflower was amazing as well. By the time we were done I was scraping the romesco off the plate. It's in a high populated area, and we were there a weekend before the election, so we accidently ran into many political parades and marches. First off, the girl who guided us to our table was super sweet throughout the whole experience. She came by and refilled our waters a few times and also grabbed our check. But one thing that rubbed us the wrong way was immediately right after we got sat, a server with a zebra dress and pink mask came and told us bluntly that her manager told her that she was going to have to get the table back from us by 12:15pm. Mind you, it was 9:36am when she said that. Why would it take us that long to be there? Why wasn't this mentioned at the beginning? And why was that the first thing you said to us instead of maybe greeting and asking if we cared for some water or something? We found that rude and unprofessional of her. We did not appreciate that considering we were celebrating my best friends birthday there and that kind of ruined the brunch for us. It's disrespectful.. there were other ways she could've approach us. In addition, not sure how the section system worked for the servers but we didn't really know who our server was and had to flag someone down for our check and then waited some more to get our check back. Service was super slow - if you wanted us out so soon the service should've been more adamant towards an appropriate time for that. The food was great, no issues with that.
