Postinos is a modern eatery that specializes in vibe, sandwiches and wine. You will love the food, enjoy the service, and gamble on either the room or the outdoor seating. The facility is actually small in indoor square footage, but has an additional 2 or 3 sections of patio seating with shade, misting and lighting that makes a pleasant and enjoyable experience. The indoor seating is cramped, open and loud to the point of being nearly impossible to converse. I have been here two or three times, and my only frustration here is that the volume and music makes an evening with your love or friends turn into a shouting match. Yes, I know the vibe they are going for. And it fails. I know how to use a decibel meter too. Enjoying a sandwich with friends and a glass of wine shouldn't be this difficult. Admittedly, the outdoor patio is excellent, and I loved that in past visits. But some days in Arizona it is nice to sit inside. Doing so here means I have to put up with the manager thinking 100db is a fun experience for diners. Now to the food. Postinos takes the approach that less is more and hits a home run. Their two basic items are panini sandwiches and bruschetta boards. Both are stellar. I've tried a couple sandwiches- turkey pesto and chicken mozzarella- and they were excellent. Besides being tasty they are large enough to fill you up for dinner, along with a nice side of homemade kettle chips. The bruschetta boards are likewise top notch engaging all the palette from salt and sweet to crunch and soft. Different flavors and items that are wonderful. Finally the staff is excellent. They are helpful, efficient, and always kind. This is a well trained group and were always pleasant to engage with. Overall the experience is excellent, save the attempt at audio ambience in the indoor seating area. If they adjusted that just a bit I could actually enjoy my conversation with loved ones and friends. As it is I will only come here alone or in the winter when I will sit outside. read more

I joined a friend here for lunch the other day, and we had the best time! It was a Friday morning -- 11 a.m. -- and we had a craving for red wine and bruschetta. Our server, Vinny, recommended that we get a full bottle of wine (instead of the $6 glass deal), so a cabernet it was. I picked four fine bruschettas to enjoy, and good times were had by all. While the classic tomato-basil is a must, I highly recommend the apple-brie. I enjoyed that one so much, I ended up ordering two! The prosciutto-fig was good, too. After a hearty meal and a whole bottle of red, we were perfectly stuffed. But, Vinny went and surprised us with a creme brulee! How could we possibly refuse? I have to downgrade due to their service more than the food. The hostess was rude and not helpful to one of our party that asked where we were sitting-with a reservation and the name on the reservation. She got told to just go look around. We then had about 5 people waiting on our table and saw them struggle to which table got the food and drinks. Was everyone working brand new to the job?! I also felt we insulted by our waitress at the time to pay the bill. She's lucky it wasn't me giving the tip. The bruschetta boards, skewers and sweet potato planks were all good. Shark Coochie board: 3.5/5 The meat and cheese was delicious and the peppers were very sweet loved that. Hated the artichokes, and wished there were jams, and hummus, and oils included with this board. It was way too dry. The salmon bruschetta: 5/5 Fresh salmon, capers, and onions, how can you go wrong with that. One bruschetta bread is almost 5 dollars but my bf and I split it and were full after eating. We got a great little table in the middle but there were plenty of tables inside and out. The place was packed but we got a table relatively fast. Friends got a bottle of wine to split and I got a ginger beer. I didn't realize until after that they have an NA wine which I totally would have got. The server was friendly, the food was great (skewers and boards), and everything came out quickly. Only downside is I asked for a box cause I didn't eat much but the server never came back. This is such a wonderful place to enjoy shared bites and brews in Gilbert. We sat at the bar while awaiting a table but were so impressed by the bartender's personality and service that we stayed and enjoyed our dinner there. They have a great selection of brews and wine and the bartender even said if I didn't like what he recommended, it was on the house. Turns out he has good taste and I really enjoyed the Guava Peach Radler. We also ordered a sharing board and the bartender recommended we modify the tomato mozzarella to include pesto and sea salted diced tomatoes, which was amazing! We also had the artichoke, date and pistachio, and pear, Brie and fig jam. Each was full of amazing flavor combos and easily shared! We topped off the night with a shared salted caramel sundae that featured chocolate covered corn nuts (incredible) and pretzels. Great service- they have gone to a model where you don't have a designated server - any of the servers can take care of you. Although in theory this is nice - I found that I had to ask multiple people for the same thing. In regards to brunch The Croque Madame is great! Totally worth getting. Good portion and good price. The Umbra egg Toast- just a 3/5. Looked better than tasted. The Panettone French toast was ok. 3.5/5. The smoked Salmon- a good healthy option 4/5.
