It was a gorgeous day, so the indoor outdoor ambience was nice. I ordered an iced Matcha with salted maple. It was delicious! I've really come to appreciate a matcha lightly sweetened instead of extra flavors every time so the maple was super yummy! We absolutely love this place. It's a great ambience; wine is highly competent for AZ-made wine. We loved their Sangiovese but it may no longer be produced. Their basic Water Tower Red is a good table sipper, and they have a few laid back whites too. Their open food policy allows you to come here and enjoy their wines while bringing anything you like to eat, or enjoying some of their excellent bruschette, sandwiches, and salads. We first discovered it around 4 years ago and come back regularly. Nothing could ever make me dislike this place, the coffee is always so smooth and has such a great flavor! The coffee cake is to die for. I tried it once before and had to come back for it again. I had been waiting for the opportunity to return to Garage East... and I finally got it! For wine, this is the place to go! When deciding what to order, I was between a couple different options... so the server brought out some samples! I really appreciated that and made the decision easier. I started with a wine that I cannot spell, but it was something like "Umpshous" and it was reminiscent of a Malbec - hints of berry, a little dry, and not too acidic. Excellent! The first few times were to enjoy their wine and buy gifts, as they offer canning and bottling services. I really like their red blends. More recently, I've been stopping by for their coffee and breakfast. They serve Provision Coffee, which I've enjoyed in various coffee shops before. I've tried the following from their coffee shop menu: Hawaiian Latte $5.50 Chia Seed Pudding $7 Avocado Toast $9 Egg & Cheese Sammy $8 Viennese $5.50 Everything is fresh and delicious. The chia seed pudding topped with fresh fruit has been my go-to as well as their Viennese, which is a honey and cinnamon latte. My favorite place ever!! The coffee is delicious, one of my fav coffee spots! Especially the Hawaiian latte. I love how it's never super busy in the mornings/afternoon so it's a great spot to study/get some work done, or catch up with a friend. It's a cozy, cute, aesthetic atmosphere, with an amazing outdoor patio. In the fall and winter when it gets chilly, they even have fire pits and blankets to wrap up in. Very cozy! Located by Joes Farm Grill, this quant wine bar offers indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating features, Adirondack chairs, heaters as well as a fire pit. We sat inside on this visit. I have to say everyone was pleasant and gave fantastic service. We had the charcuterie platter which featured three different types of cheeses and meats along with some local delicious honey and nuts. My husband opted for a fruity white wine and I chose a dry red wine. Both were recommended by the bartender. They we're good for sipping and went well with the charcuterie board that we ordered. After searching Yelp for places within 20 minutes of the hotel, we were excited to try this spot. Upon walking in and asking the lady behind the bar if we can seat ourselves, she told us rather forcefully they don't serve tables with children after 5pm. I had checked here on Yelp for if it was kid friendly (it's listed as good for kids). No one asked my son's age. No one informed us of the 13+ policy. We walked away feeling rather embarrassed about the way we were confronted. Went to the brewery 12west instead so I guess no harm but wanted other parents to know "the rules" to save themselves the embarrassment. :( read more

Garage-East is a great spot if you are wanting a comfortable evening on the patio with a glass of wine in hand. It has that backyard feel to it along with some friendly service. Garage-East is part of the Barnone community in the Agritopia area of Gilbert. We enjoyed listening to some live music while sampling some wines. The bartender was knowledgeable and very helpful in explaining the different wines that we were tasting. For food, they have a nice light menu of sandwiches, salads and appetizers. You can also bring in food from one of the other restaurants in the surrounding area. Garage-East hosts a number of events like winemaker dinners, tastings and brunch on the weekends. Live music is on Friday and Saturday evenings. The wine menu at Garage-East is a nice collection of Arizona wines. They work with Arizona growers to make their own blends and bottles. I drive down to Sonoita often for some fun wine tasting trips and it is nice to have a place here in the Valley that I can sample some AZ wines. The team behind Garage-East are friends that come from different professional backgrounds. Coming to Agritopia makes for a fun day or evening. Edit: Sarah is always the best! And Brian is lying. He dropped the local menu items months ago when he bought out his business partner months ago. I understand Brian runs a small business. But so do the other small businesses he dropped when he took on sole ownership. The menu used to say where each item was crafted from. Notice it doesn't anymore? Because it's bought wholesale. From a distributor. Sarah is always the best. Great service. Super disappointed that the local whipped honey is no longer on the menu - along with many other local faves that used to be on the menu. It's one of the main reasons we would come. Seems like none of the menu options are artisan local anymore. Bummer. Looks like the menu is provided by Sysco Foods now. And tastes like it too. We stopped in for brunch (10am-1pm) and it was our first time! Food was good. The patio is AMAZING!!!!! We sat outside and enjoyed the weather on their patio (a lot of diverse seating). The breakfast wine was so yummy (it's their take on a 'mimosa'). I ordered the Egg & Cheese Sammy on sourdough served with a side salad. It was good, basic, wouldn't order it again but I'm glad I tried it. My friend ordered the Cranberry Feta salad and added chicken. The chicken looked boiled (I like to see grill marks, but that's just me!!!!). The toppings on the salad and flavor of the dressing was really good. Overall food 7/10. Atmosphere 10/10. Service 9/10. Would I go back? Yes! Like: SO many wine options if you're a wino!! Dislike: I didn't enjoy the fact that the salad came out 10min before my sandwich and my friend sat and waited to eat it (he's polite like that). First off the place is such a nice, fun, relaxed, and cute spot to hang out! My boyfriend and I headed over after having a bite of pizza and beer next door. The staff was super friendly and checked on us through our our night. We tried a few of the reds. Loved the water tower and Sangiovese! Tried the warm olives.
