This is such a great location with a cool vibe & really good food. I love coming here for lunch or drinks. It's quiet enough to meet up with friends and family but also comfortable to just have lunch on your own. The staff are typically very nice and helpful and so far everything I've tried has been great. I would like to see more variety in cocktails but their focus is more on wine. Overall, I highly recommend it. Don't miss out on the grilled cheese & tomato basil dip, it was really good!
Great ambiance and vibes! We came for a late dinner, and noticed that the lights are almost painfully dim to really set the mood (however I ended up needed a tad more light to read the menu) Drinks: the prickly pear marg and the espresso martini (not pictured) - both really good and smooth, I can easily tell why they're popular drinks. Food: select two (West Coaster Panini & Caesar salad) - these are def lunch sizes so be mindful that if you're particularly hungry you should just get the full sizes of either or both dishes. The smoked ham, avocado, and aioli combo on the panini were such a hit and the flavor was delicious. It was a personal choice to have the feta cheese on the side as I wasn't sure how I'd like it. We also chose 4 bruschetta (kept it classic) and enjoyed mixing and matching! I'm ready to come back to explore more of the menu
This is a super cute place in a great area! I went here for a late dinner on a Sunday with my cousins. I ordered the shrimp scampi and a salad (forgot the name of it) without the cheese. The shrimp was good, but it needed a bit of salt and maybe a slice of lemon. I'd give it an 8/10. The salad would have been great if it didn't have so much dressing. I should have asked for it on the side but I didn't know they would put so much. I'd give it a 7/10. Our server seemed a bit out of it. She put in the completely wrong drink but fixed it immediately. Other than that, the experience was calm and nice.
It has always been my philosophy that if you experience a restaurant wants unless it is particularly horrible that if possible, you should at least consider trying it again, which is what I did with Postino yesterday. Believe it or not we have the exact same server. We had the first time and although he was not much better than he was the first time encountered him. There was a manager who was extremely active and more than made up for his lack of enthusiasm at providing service. In short, the service issue seems focused on this particular employee and does not appear to be consistent with the remainder of the restaurant. We sat out on the patio, which was absolutely lovely was a lovely afternoon. I felt like I was in Southern California. I don't know what more to say other than if you get an opportunity to dine on the patio, you should take it. This time, unlike the first time we selected different bruschetta and let me tell you every one that we had was superb. i'm not going to share precisely which we had. I think it comes down to individual taste. None of the bruschetta, even those that I tried the first time and did not like so much none of those bruschetta's were cooked poorly, nor were the ingredients of other than a quality product. So I think it simply comes down to what kind of taste you prefer, but I highly recommend the bruschetta. I won't retract what I said in the first evaluation nor will I retract what I said about the service on on this particular comment, but I will tell you that if the manager is on duty and I do not know her name she is a very tall has beautiful long hair and is quite service oriented. If she is on duty my guess is you will be well taken care of. It's well worth the experience to go to Postino.
We got the grilled cheese which was quite dry and very salty; the tomato soup was good though. For the bruschetta board, the red pepper jelly and apple & brie were very good, the other two were quite soggy (maybe from the juices from however the anchovies & salmon is stored?). Wine selection is good, server was friendly but slow to check in with us.
A delicious stop while traveling in Katy, TX, with great shareable menu items and relaxing brunch ambiance. All the servers were talkative and friendly and helpful in their recommendations. Can't wait to come back!
We stopped in for drinks and dessert and were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. We sat at the bar and our server, Shante, was fantastic. I asked for a drink recommendation and she gave me two great options. I chose the Tres Cucumber and it was amazing. Refreshing, not too sweet, and perfectly balanced with a clean cucumber flavor. My husband ordered the Old Fashioned, which was also very well done. We shared the fudge brownie for dessert and it was rich, moist, and elevated with just the right hint of espresso. The atmosphere is comfortable and versatile. It works just as well for a date night as it does for a girls night or a casual meet-up with a friend. 10 out of 10. I definitely recommend this spot and will absolutely be back.
I got the PREAM bowl and it was so yummy! The romesco sauce was delicious and I really liked the broccolini! I loved that I was able to choose the doneness of the steak. I got it medium rare and it was perfect! Our server Angela really took care of us well. The only thing was it was just a little over seasoned to my liking. The flavors were there but just a little salty. Other than that, it was great!
I came here for lunch on a workday. Our waitress was really fast and quick. The place is really nicely decorated and set a mood. Our table chairs were nice and stable. Parking is free, but I always park in the garage in this plaza for shade which is about a block away. . I ordered the prosciutto and brie with a salad instead of chips . I'm a sucker for prosciutto, Brie, and sweet jam so this was amazing. I would eat this again. The Panini held together very well. It wasn't like falling apart. The side salad was just a basic romaine salad. Next time I'll upgrade to a different type of side salad. There are also a lot of interesting drinks and bruschettas on the menu, but that will be a future meal when I'm not there before work. Haha.
It was very nice of the GM to give away complimentary Bruschetta Board and Drink. The vibes are excellent especially during afternoon snack time when the place is not too crowded. I personally very much enjoy the apps and entrees since I'm not a drink person. To my surprise, ther Crispy Cauliflower app was much larger (food volume) compared to those in my last two visits at this and the other locations. I was 110% satisfied with its taste and portion.
This place gives vintage!! I love it the food was 8/10. I loved the chopped chicken salad. Panini was also really really good. The prices of the food are a tad bit high for the taste quality/sizes. The wines are great. Ambiance is lovely! You can do business, pleasure or self care! If your on a budget you can do the pick 2. They are still a little small but great to go and try the place out.
Love the place and ambiance. The waitress was attentive and let us browse the menu without feeling rushed. I ordered the bruschetta board with: brie, apple, & fig, warm artichoke, smoked salmon & pesto, sweet n spicy pepperjam & goat cheese. All were amazing. My fav was the warm artichoke.
Went out with my mom for a little birthday brunch outing and heard talk of the bruschetta boards and just had to try it out. So we went with the smoked salmon & pesto, sweet and spicy pepper jam w/ goat cheese, burrata bacon arugula with tomato, and lastly the ricotta dates and pistachio. Also added a lil nine iron panini on the side cause as a growing boy (man?) 4 bruschetta split among 2 wasn't gonna be enough ya feel? Let me start the smoked salmon and sweet and spicy pepper jam bruschetta were definitely my top 2. Smoked salmon tasted fresh and that little pesto layer came through nicely. The sweet and pepper jam had just that tiny little heat paired with that tangy earthy goat cheese just divine. Now the burrato bacon arugula & tomato one was good like the tomatoes were super fresh and bacon was there but the burrata flavor was a little MIA ya feel? Ricotta dates and pistachios one was good like the ricotta came through and the texture was nice with the soft and hard crunch but the pistachios flavors weren't as strong as I hoped? Still a nice little sweet flavor to balance out the rest of the board! The nine iron panini was good especially with the focaccia bread added on! All the toppings inside was fresh, and the umami was present. Also the panini was panini'ed cause the press marks on the bread were nice and crunchy. Unfortunately the bottom of our focaccia bread was split in half so it was kind of falling apart but hey not all paninis were born perfect you know? It took a little extra care to hold the ingredients together but it still delivered in the end. Service was quick and friendly, and the ambiance was exactly what you think a modern-industrial wine bar looks like. It was dark in the middle of the day like what! If you've wanted to upscale the weekend brunch, grab a lil drink with the partner/friend/family, or you wanted to try the bruschetta boards (this was me) then it's worth a stop!
I've been here a few times now, I like the ambience and food is mostly good. Love the phones on the wall behind the bar. This recent trip I ordered the seasonal spiced salami panini but I didn't love it. It was also ham and chorizo but it was so thin, mostly bread. Really skimped out on the meat. It's always best to go with the bruschetta. The spicy jam one is good but such a thin layer, I'd prefer to order those that are more filling/have more toppings. Bathroom is a vibe, love the design there. This is a great spot to catch up with friends over wine and light bites or light lunch. I don't recommend for dinner unless you want a light dinner. read more

The panini is thick with chicken and tasted pretty good, I was surprised that I liked it. We did the bruschetta board, definitely wouldn't recommend the tomato and mozzarella. It's not terrible but compare the other options it was mid. The service here is really good too, our server was very nice and explained that sauces to us. The ambience is chill and more of a hang out. read more

The cutest wine cafe in the area!! Love that they have outdoor and indoor seating, both have such different vibes. You can walk around outside or shop after if you wanted!! My top bruschetta toasts (I've tried nearly all of them haha): - sweet N spicy pepper jam & goat cheese - Brie, apple & fig spread - smoked salmon & pesto - Mexican street corn (this one was very unique and had a bit of sweet and spice to it) My least fav: - salami and pesto: just felt like these didn't pair well, prefer the smoked salmon one more - mushroom & mascarpone (too mushy for my liking and you have to love mushrooms for this one lol) - fresh mozzarella, tomato, & basil (the tomatoes were mushy and it didn't have much flavor) read more

I am so glad Postino is now in Katy! The wait time was 30 minutes on a Thursday evening, and this makes sense since a new trendy and highly rated establishment is in town. This location has a telephone wall above the kitchen counter where the cooks place the completed orders. The ambiance is casual with a splash of sophistication. You will find yourself surrounded by art, cozy decorations, and also loud music. The dishes are the perfect size and not overwhelming. The lemonade was overly sweet. The savory sweet potato fries (What was in that delicious sauce?!) and juicy meatballs balanced it out. The OMG grilled cheese is bite-sized and comes with a tangy tomato basil soup- a delectable combination. Sadly, I was too full for dessert. Still, I am positive it would've tasted just as good as the entrees were and so beautifully presented. read more

! - Restaurant: Postino, Cinco Ranch (San Antonio, TX) -- There's an old adage in the culinary world that often gets overshadowed by elaborate recipes and intricate cooking techniques: simplicity is key. This philosophy's essence lies in letting ingredients' natural flavors shine through, unadulterated and unmasked by excessive seasoning or complex preparations. It's a principle that celebrates the purity and authenticity of food, reminding us that sometimes, the simplest dishes are the most satisfying. This restaurant has really made great foods simple with the natural beauty of the ingredients. - Michael Glinter has traveled to 68 countries and 36 states to get the flavor of some amazing foods. His view on reviews is simple - Taste, Presentation, and Service. He believes telling the reader a positive and negative unbiased look at the restaurant is essential. Let's talk food. - STARTERS: Bruschetta Board: I believe the highlight of this visit was the custom Bruschetta Board. You have a selection of 4. We picked Brie, Apple & Fig Spread, Burrata, Bacon, Arugula & Tomato, Smoked Salmon & Pesto, and the Chef's special, a Homemade Hummus topped with fresh Tomatoes. -- First on the menu was the Brie, Apple & Fig Spread bruschetta. With a delicate balance of creamy brie, crisp slices of apple, and the sweet, jammy notes of fig spread, this rendition of the classic Italian appetizer was a revelation. The creaminess of the brie mingled harmoniously with the apple's tartness and the fig's richness, creating a flavor profile that was at once comforting and sophisticated. -- Next up was the Burrata, Bacon, Arugula & Tomato bruschetta, a twist on a timeless combination. The creamy burrata, adorned with crispy bacon, peppery arugula, and juicy tomatoes, was texturally advanced but an amazing combination and contrast of flavors, with the smokiness of the bacon complementing the creamy richness of the burrata, while the freshness of the arugula and tomatoes added a burst of brightness. -- Smoked Salmon & Pesto bruschetta: The delicate slices of smoked salmon, adorned with a dollop of vibrant pesto, danced atop perfectly toasted bread, creating a harmony of flavors that was both elegant and satisfying. The richness of the salmon was balanced beautifully by the herbal notes of the pesto, resulting in a dish that was as visually stunning as it was delicious. - Chef's special: Homemade Hummus topped with fresh Tomatoes. This bruschetta was a celebration of simplicity done right. The velvety smoothness of the homemade Hummus provided the perfect canvas for the bright, juicy tomatoes, which burst with flavor in every bite. A sprinkle of fresh herbs added a pop of color and freshness, elevating this seemingly humble dish to new heights. - MAIN ENTREES The Raspberry Chicken Salad presents a delightful fusion of flavors and textures, elevating the classic chicken salad to new heights. Succulent pieces of chicken mingle with a medley of ingredients, including crunchy almonds and pecans, crisp apples, and the distinct tang of gorgonzola cheese, all nestled atop a bed of fresh mixed greens. However, what truly sets this salad apart is the exquisite raspberry vinaigrette that drapes each ingredient in a symphony of sweet and tangy notes. Its vibrant hue hints at the burst of fruity flavor it imparts, perfectly complementing the savory elements of the dish. With each forkful, the palate is treated to a harmonious dance of savory and sweet, making the Raspberry Chicken Salad a tantalizing and refreshing choice for any occasion. - Prepare to have your taste buds transported to a realm of pure culinary ecstasy with the OMG Grilled Cheese. This extraordinary creation takes the beloved classic to unprecedented heights, boasting layers of decadent gruyere, velvety whipped brie, tangy goat cheese, and sharp white cheddar. But the indulgence doesn't stop there. Nestled between the layers of cheese lies crisp, smoky bacon, adding a savory depth that tantalizes the senses. As if that weren't enough, this grilled cheese masterpiece is served alongside a creamy tomato soup dip, offering the perfect accompaniment to the gooey, cheesy goodness. With each bite, you're enveloped in a symphony of flavors and textures that is nothing short of sensational. Prepare to be amazed by the OMG Grilled Cheese - a culinary revelation that will leave you craving more. -- Overall, the restaurant had a great vibe, the service was excellent, and the food was on point. My only complaint was the presentation on the main dishes were pretty blah. Definitely a great place for all types of occasions, and loved the Cinco Ranch area in general. read more

I was brought to this location by a friend and when I say I was so excited once the door opened I was able to get a little work done, laugh, chill, relax all in one. The board Artichoke BruschettaBrie and Fig Spread Panini and the merlot/ Cabernet was magnificent with the music and atmosphere. This will be a go 2 for La Caterra in Katy. The waiters were all great even when there's a small hiccup, the problem will be fixed in no time without cause. read more

Wanted to check this restaurant out for happy hour on Friday, but it ends at 3:00pm. We arrived at 7:00pm, seated at the bar, the bar tender greeted us at 7:10, took our order started our tab at 7:22. We were served water and our glasses of wine. A couple arrived after us, as well as single gentleman, and they sat at the bar as well. Both customers got their food before us. We asked the bartender, he said he would look into it. We waited 10 minutes and he was still behind the bar. When he saw me get up, he told the manager something was up with our order and she searched for our order in their system. I told them to close our tab, and we left by 8:10pm. Very poor first impression. We will not return nor recommend. read more

I love the Montrose location and I was so happy to hear they opened a location so close to us! We went in on a night we were just bored at home and ended up having a super chill date night. Everything was spot on. The ambiance was great, the food was good and the service was great! Our waitress was chill and attentive making sure to explain menu items and give us recommendations but not overbearing which is a major plus for us! This place (Postino @ Cinco Ranch) is horrible with take out. I've tried them in the summer & food was trash and swore I would never order here again! I gave them a second chance and tried them again tonight and the food was just awful! They charged me 10 bucks for a two dollar salad! The bruschetta board was disgusting. In the past they were the best but lately they are pushing out trash! I blame their night manager for the poor quality! I'll post a pic of my $10 salad! The bread from the bruschetta was so hard I couldn't even bite thru it! They are literally serving trash. It's sad how this place has declined! I know because I've eaten here many times in the past and know the quality has declined tremendously. They won't allow bad ratings on their Facebook, I've tried! Thank God for Yelp and Google Reviews. read more

Service was great the bruschetta was awful. The goat cheese was spread so, so thin like mayonnaise. The bread was not rubbed with a garlic clove, toasted, nor did it have olive oil on it. This is not bruschetta. I expected a DOLLOP of goat cheese, an appropriate portion for the price. The chips were old and stale and unappetizing. The sautéed shrimp dish had an excellent sauce but unfortunately the shrimp was not sautéed but thrown in pink. The panini was ok. The drink specials were very good. The bruschetta on the left is what I expected. The mess on the right that looks like pizza is what I got. read more

We were deciding between bottles of wine and he immediately said how about I bring y'all a taste of each... loved that!!! We ordered Deju Vu Chardonnay and a board with 4 choices!!! Everything exceptional!!! Ordered the meatballs with goat cheese!!! Incredibly tender and you can taste the Italian sausage!!! Highly recommend!!!! Sorry no pic, they went fast!!! The atmosphere was really fun! It wasn't loud even though it was definitely busy. We had a great server as well. She explained the options and just had great energy. The food!! We participated in the bruschetta contest they are currently hosting and we tried them all. I recommend the street corn and the apple ones.
