The cutest wine cafe in the area!! Love that they have outdoor and indoor seating, both have such different vibes. You can walk around outside or shop after if you wanted!! My top bruschetta toasts (I've tried nearly all of them haha): - sweet N spicy pepper jam & goat cheese - Brie, apple & fig spread - smoked salmon & pesto - Mexican street corn (this one was very unique and had a bit of sweet and spice to it) My least fav: - salami and pesto: just felt like these didn't pair well, prefer the smoked salmon one more - mushroom & mascarpone (too mushy for my liking and you have to love mushrooms for this one lol) - fresh mozzarella, tomato, & basil (the tomatoes were mushy and it didn't have much flavor) read more

I am so glad Postino is now in Katy! The wait time was 30 minutes on a Thursday evening, and this makes sense since a new trendy and highly rated establishment is in town. This location has a telephone wall above the kitchen counter where the cooks place the completed orders. The ambiance is casual with a splash of sophistication. You will find yourself surrounded by art, cozy decorations, and also loud music. The dishes are the perfect size and not overwhelming. The lemonade was overly sweet. The savory sweet potato fries (What was in that delicious sauce?!) and juicy meatballs balanced it out. The OMG grilled cheese is bite-sized and comes with a tangy tomato basil soup- a delectable combination. Sadly, I was too full for dessert. Still, I am positive it would've tasted just as good as the entrees were and so beautifully presented. read more

This place (Postino @ Cinco Ranch) is horrible with take out. I've tried them in the summer & food was trash and swore I would never order here again! I gave them a second chance and tried them again tonight and the food was just awful! They charged me 10 bucks for a two dollar salad! The bruschetta board was disgusting. In the past they were the best but lately they are pushing out trash! I blame their night manager for the poor quality! I'll post a pic of my $10 salad! The bread from the bruschetta was so hard I couldn't even bite thru it! They are literally serving trash. It's sad how this place has declined! I know because I've eaten here many times in the past and know the quality has declined tremendously. They won't allow bad ratings on their Facebook, I've tried! I was brought to this location by a friend and when I say I was so excited once the door opened I was able to get a little work done, laugh, chill, relax all in one. The board Artichoke BruschettaBrie and Fig Spread Panini and the merlot/ Cabernet was magnificent with the music and atmosphere. This will be a go 2 for La Caterra in Katy. Came for brunch on a Sunday and everything was delicious. I had the flat breads and mimosas. They have a good variety of beverages and you can order from the regular menu or brunch menu. Wanted to check this restaurant out for happy hour on Friday, but it ends at 3:00pm. We arrived at 7:00pm, seated at the bar, the bar tender greeted us at 7:10, took our order started our tab at 7:22. We were served water and our glasses of wine. A couple arrived after us, as well as single gentleman, and they sat at the bar as well. Both customers got their food before us. We asked the bartender, he said he would look into it. We waited 10 minutes and he was still behind the bar. When he saw me get up, he told the manager something was up with our order and she searched for our order in their system. I told them to close our tab, and we left by 8:10pm. Very poor first impression. We will not return nor recommend. read more

I love the Montrose location and I was so happy to hear they opened a location so close to us! We went in on a night we were just bored at home and ended up having a super chill date night. Everything was spot on. The ambiance was great, the food was good and the service was great! Our waitress was chill and attentive making sure to explain menu items and give us recommendations but not overbearing which is a major plus for us! Service was great the bruschetta was awful. The goat cheese was spread so, so thin like mayonnaise. The bread was not rubbed with a garlic clove, toasted, nor did it have olive oil on it. This is not bruschetta. I expected a DOLLOP of goat cheese, an appropriate portion for the price. The chips were old and stale and unappetizing. The sautéed shrimp dish had an excellent sauce but unfortunately the shrimp was not sautéed but thrown in pink. The panini was ok. The drink specials were very good. We've been twice in 2 weeks. The food is great. We've had different charcuterie boards, bruschetta, sandwiches, dessert and more. I haven't tasted anything there that I didn't find delicious. The service however, is less on the side of reasonable and more on the side of ridiculous. The place seems to be staffed entirely by a 16-25 year old crew who apparently like to talk to each other more than they like to work. Last night we had to ask again about every drink we ordered. Our waiter would just disappear for 10 minutes at a time. This, we were having to flag down the next closest waitress who was fortunately willing to assist, or get up to go to the bar ourselves and inquire about our orders. Really cool when they respond with, "that order was never rung in...". Not sure if we'll go back as it doesn't seem like they give a damn about repeat business. read more

Ambiance is awesome. Went at least at lunch and looked like Katy's finest people there drinking wine and laughing. Food was excellent. Had a soup and Sandwich. Staff was welcoming and the manager from California was excellent welcoming us for visiting and checking to make sure all is good. I highly recommend and felt like its geared towards an adult crowd. Came here for the tree lighting a couple of weeks ago. They had a booth out front with wine. There was a rude African American girl working it. She gave me the stank eye for no reason. She acted like i was bothering her when i asked what they were selling out there. If she didn't want to work, she should've stayed home. The tree lighting is a festive and fun time. People want to see smiles and friendly customer service. She was so rude that i don't even want to eat or drink at that establishment. Manager needs to choose friendlier people to do their job. Especially when it's right outside the restaurant. read more

During my most recent visit, I had the quarter chicken breast (meaning it is with the wing) and stuck with the Mango & Lime sauce. Additionally, I ordered the Halloumi Sticks with Chili Jam. For my drink, I chose the bottemless option. I only drank their Peach Roiboos Iced Tea each time. The service and atmosphere are friendly and clean, and I love that they have a handwashing sink for customers outside of the ones in the restroom. Sometimes, I just need to wash hands.

Similar to other recently opened venues that serve beer on tap and feature both indoor and outdoor spaces, there is something available for all ages in your party. Though parking is free in their lot, it does quickly fill up as the evening progresses. Our friends had reserved a few tables outside, but it also turned out to be the coldest day of the year, so we ended up settling inside. We sampled sliders, hot dogs, flat breads, pizza, pretzels, nachos, and chicken lollipops, which were served in metal catering trays along a long table. All the food items that were ordered were good. We did not order anything to drink, but the servers did a great job of coming by our tables to see if we needed anything throughout the evening, and he had quite a large party. The outdoor space is pretty large, with open areas of turf for lawn games and kids to run around. There is also ample outdoor seating, with a few food trucks along the outer part of the venue. Not sure if these are left out year-round, but they had these fire pit space heater/light sources between the tables that provided a nice touch to the outdoor space, especially as the evening grew darker. Although we don't live nearby, this was a great spot to celebrate a birthday, hang out with friends, date night, etc. I definitely recommend this place if you live on this side of town.

The restaurant itself is beautiful on the outside with an inside that has a modern, open design. You come in and seat yourself, and while there were several tables available, the restaurant definitely wasn't empty. There were people dining in the back room and out on the porch. It was a gorgeous day, but we opted for the AC. Service wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't especially attentive. It took a while for someone to come by with menus, and throughout the meal things just seemed to move slowly despite the restaurant not appearing understaffed. I don't mind a relaxed pace, but I also don't want to spend my entire afternoon sitting indoors at some random restaurant waiting around. We started with chips and queso. The chips were decent, but the queso was extremely thin and soupy--more like cheese soup than queso--thus definitely not worth the $10 price tag. Unless you love soupy queso. Then maybe it's definitely worth the $10 to you. For lunch, my brother and mom ordered The Local Burger with Fries and added avocado, my friend ordered the Beef Tenderloin Steak Wrap with Chips, and I tried the Spicy Buffalo Pizza because honestly, every menu starts looking the same after a while, and I wanted something different. Unfortunately, there were several issues with our order. Everyone's food arrived but my brother's because our server somehow assumed mom and he were sharing one burger since they ordered the same thing. They also forgot the avocado add-on for both burgers. Mom gave my brother her basket, and they shared the burger until his came, which was about 10 to 15 minutes later. Mom liked the fries because they came out hot and weren't overly salted, but neither she nor my brother really raved about the burgers. I think by then they forgot they asked for avocado, and we weren't charged for it, but that's kind of annoying to ask for something and nothing is said...they just quietly make sure not to charge you for it. The Spicy Buffalo Pizza was probably the biggest disappointment for me. I expected a more traditional buffalo chicken pizza, but instead it was kind of a layered, heavily drizzled mess that didn't really work together. The crust also appeared to be some sort of cornmeal-style crust that wasn't my favorite and didn't hold up well under the weight of the toppings. It was the kind of slice you knew would end up on you rather than in you, so I was really careful to make sure it hit the pizza board and not me. I ended up boxing most of it for my housemate. Mark wanted dessert, and they have something called "The Spot Ice Cream Sandwich," which is a brownie or assorted cookie with vanilla ice cream and toppings. Mom asked whether he could simply order the brownie by itself, and our server Victor said he would ask, but we never actually got an answer. One thing that really annoys me at restaurants is charging $4 for fountain drinks and then not keeping them refilled. Victor did eventually ask about refills, but by then the meal was basically over. Overall, this place wasn't bad, but it also wasn't great. The atmosphere and design are probably the strongest part of the experience. I wouldn't necessarily avoid it, but I also wouldn't go out of my way to come back. What made lunch even funnier is that next door at Cross Creek Ranch, there's a hanging sign advertising an "observation deck." We had debated going before lunch but decided to eat first and then check it out afterward. Much like the restaurant itself, the concept sounded far more impressive than the actual experience. There really wasn't much to observe. I just found it amusing that both experiences ended up being equally mediocre.
