This is the third (and last time) I have used this service. Each time I was given the wrong…read moretracking number and had to go back to get the right one. This last time she was training a young woman who did not know how to type (using one finger) and getting every line wrong. It took forever! I had two items that needed to be boxed that had prepaid labels and she charged me $9 for two used boxes!! WTH! And, I did not get a receipt for the items that were prepaid. From now on, I will go to the post office or the UPS Store. My advice, for what it is worth, save yourself a lot of aggravation and do not go in this store to mail anything. She really should not be in business.

I'm really not sure if I saw a wheelchair ramp - its possible there was one - but the route I took had many many stairs. I noticed lots of po boxes and pick up boxes. Very nice system that people were using. I noticed metal detectors as I walked in. I go use a post office in Fruitvale Oakland all the time - I have to look again if they have those too. If they do I somehow don't notice them. These I suppose are more noticeable as they are in the middle of the room rather than at the front door. People in front of me were sending money by using cash. Big, big bills and lots of them. I suppose that is where problems come into play? I don't know much about this city - I heard it has a bad reputation - from I personally saw looked great with exception of the metal detectors. Children growing up today need to know it wasn't like this 20 years ago.

Well, the UPS store is great for UPS stuff. Which would explain my previous five star reviews…read more they claim they have the ability to process mail on behalf of the USPS. BUT. Their ability to process the USPS material is almost grossly limited compared to a real post office. So you may think their hours are more convenient than your local post office. BUT. The number of package pickups at the UPS locations is lame. Thanks to Amazon and other pressures on the USPS, they now process mail 24/7. Yes weekends, holidays, rain, shine... So if you managed to sneak your mail at the post office minutes before their closing time, most likely the mail will be picked up and sent for processing. You go to the UPS store and forget it. Your package will be stalled in transit at the store. For days. That would be Sundays, holidays. There won't be after hours pick up. And your mail will be stuck in the UPS store until the postal service arrives for their extremely limited number of pickups. But wait. The UPS store will most likely charge you more than a post office for the same service. Just go to a real post office.
