I did not know what was going on at first. Once I realized you were angry about the policy of not taping boxes, I was shocked. Your behavior was a little concerning. I was definitely a little thrown back. So once you began to turn your anger towards me I realized this wasn't a ups issue. This was YOUR ISSUE. You continued for several minutes to rant and rave about a little conversation with the young lady I had while she was helping me. There are so many things you could have done to make a statement but this was not the way. You lost that battle as soon as you started yelling at a young lady and an elderly woman. Then an innocent bystander. There are many resources for anger issues. I am sure your retail employer may even be willing to help you get the proper treatment. Never again. I wish I had heeded the advice of a previous reviewer. The employee barely spoke, and acted as though I knew "the ropes" of sending a package via UPS. Very unpleasant. While the staff is usually very helpful, the owner is out of her mind. Claims that they cannot ship high value items via UPS ground. Max is $200 according to her. I knew this was BS and I was able to instantly go onto the website and create a label with the $7000 value and insurance I was asking for but this was after we had gone through the whole process at the counter. What a waste of time. Does she think she would be personally liable if it were to get lost or damaged. She was very rude and aggressive and you could see the embarrassment on the workers faces. One of the few needed places in Benicia has to be unfavorable. The staff are mostly unhappy to be here and treat customers like a burden. I like other ups stores where it's more pleasant and welcoming to be in. Today, the service guy put in more effort: At this place, I returned an item back in the box it was sent in and the guy opened it and said he doesn't want to take the box. Never had that happen and an inconvenience to me. Another Benicia place not to get service in, and then you wonder why Benicia is doing so financially poorly? Maybe he had a bad day, maybe he's clueless, maybe he's racist, or maybe he just needs to not take it out on others because he's miserable and a hag. read more

Reading the reviews of this store is so wild, I've never had such a different experience myself compared to the majority of reviewers of any spot, heh... maybe I'm just really lucky? Anyhow, I use this UPS store CONSTANTLY for Amazon returns. I don't necessarily return a lot of items, but I do use Amazon a LOT so even if a small % of my stuff needs returning, I end up coming here a lot. Today in particular though I wanted to highlight my experience with Lee Anne (Lea?). She was so very helpful, I had a multiple different services required, two returns, one needed packaging (reasonably priced), and also needed Notary Services. She helped very efficiently with everything and was so friendly throughout. Even the person she helped before me, she went above and beyond... that person had messed up their Amazon shipping method, and even though that lady was just going to give up and start over at home, Lea offered to help her switch the shipping method if the lady could pull up the order on her phone, and you could tell the lady was so helpful for Lea getting it all resolved for her. I've never had any issues with service honestly. You'll get the occasional tired/hurried employee but nearly all of them have provided helpful service and given that this is free to the customer, I find it very hard to complain about anything. read more

Paid $77 to have papers faxed to my lawyers office and owner woman told me to hold onto my receipt in case there was a problem. Next day I got a call from my lawyer saying all pages had a line through the middle of the pages on the 11" side. Had to drive to Napa to deliver the originals. Took the receipt and the fax copies in today to show their error and to get my money back and was told by same woman that she can refax or scan and email for me because she can't say if it was her machine or the receiving machine problem. Really???? Then why did you tell me to keep my receipt in case there was a problem in sending the fax?????? LAST TIME I EVER STEP IN THEIR DOOR AGAIN!!!!! read more

Boy named Jeff was so rude with anger issues and if I was trying to ask questions about when they started charging for tape for Amazon drop offs and he had attitude and then told me "just go" If customer is asking question to clarify concerns you don't just get angry and tell that person to leave. At first he was on his phone and I was waiting and then once he started helping me and he was getting impatient and annoyed. Need to hire people who actually want to work and address concerns not ones who have anger issues. Such a bad experience. read more

Ordered a special mattress for our 10.5 year old German Shepherd on Amazon. Unfortunately it was too hard for her so I had to return it. Original packaging was not reusable as it came vacuum sealed. What is going on at the Benicia's UPS store????? I was just there this morning and "supposedly" helped by a boy employee of UPS. John was so rude, obstinate, condescending, insulting, with his prepubescent attitude. Might I say a customer was also in the store observing all this commotion. I work nearby and had a package sent to this store while I was out of town. I live in the next city but thought it would be easy to get my package next to where I work. The owner called me before business hours (7am) to complain that my package was there at the store so, I came immediately to pick it up as soon as the store opened. She told me not to have any packages sent to her store since I don't live there. She said she was going to send my back to the sender and that I left it in their store too long, which was untrue as I was watching the tracking and it arrived the previous afternoon. I contacted UPS customer service and they said there is no reason I cannot have packages sent to this location and the store will not incur fees (as what was told to me by the store). It's really disappointing to have someone be so rude, scold me and lie to me. I see the reason for the many negative reviews and will no longer patronize this business. read more

The manager at his location has absolutely no idea of UPS' purpose - TO DELIVER PACKAGES!!! Furthermore, she's rude and unprofessional. On April 19, 2024, I placed an order with a vendor and selected UPS 2nd Air. On April 25, 2024, I received a notice from UPS stating that my package was ready for pick at the UPS Access Point at 77 Solano Square, Benicia. The package requires a signature so I had the package sent to the UPS Access Point. On April 25, I went to the UPS Store Benicia to get my package as was told that it wasn't there. On April 26, I received an email from UPS that said my package was being returned to the sender. I called UPS and was told that UPS Benicia refused the package and that is why its being returned to the sender. I called the UPS Store and spoke to the manager. While trying to explain the situation to the manager she told me that the store doesn't accept packages from neighboring cities and then abruptly hung up on me, which caused me to have to call her back. I have been picking up packages (that require signature) from the Benicia store for a number of years and have never had a problem until now. It is absolutely unacceptable for a store -THIS MANAGER - to refuse a package, especially when no prior notice that the package would be refused was given. I am a UPS My Choice member and the reason why I became a member is because I want to be able to manage my packages, especially those of value and/or require a signature. For a UPS manager to arbitrarily refuse packages without prior notice is absolutely unacceptable. UPS needs to reprimand this manager for refusing the package and exhibiting rude and unprofessional behavior by hanging up on me. This store needs new management! read more

I popped in last week to drop off a few things to send back to Amazon and there she was... berating one of her own employees. Saying loudly, "You're not a child.... (Do xyz)". I don't remember the rest of her banter because I was so in shock as to how she publicly embarrassed this person with the store full of people. I dropped off several packages with labels already paid for and printed. They scanned them then printed new labels for the boxes. I thought that was weird, and after I left I found out they charged my card on file for additional fees. I was careful with both measuring and weighing the packages when creating the original labels. The additional charges were nearly double what was originally paid to ship, so it seems like they are grifting their customers. read more

I should have known from the rude way i was talked to on the phone when I just wanted to know if it was busy (like 10 people in line with one person behind the counter busy like Vallejo UPS does it.) So shipping was expensive-fair, I expected that. But then my charge was way over what I was told shipping estimate would be. When I asked why I was told I would get an itemized list AFTER paying. When I looked at receipt there was a bunch of charges I was not made aware of AND THAT I DID NOT AGREE TO! When I brought that to the owner's attention she would not work with me at all and was extremely dismissive and rude about it saying that's how she pays her employees...the employee that she was yelling at while I was there.... Amazon could not give a qr code so Leah was on chat fir 30 minutes until she got that code and did not complain once. The "kid" behind the counter took my returns ok but completely ignored me as a customer. I asked him for a receipt and he curtly replied, "You'll get a receipt" in a surly tone. No "thank you" or other acknowledgement that the transaction was complete. He was more interested in bs-ing with his fellow employees. I ended up just walking out, disgusted. This store's management needs to refocus on training these "kids" how to be polite and about customer service. Clearly, this one had none of that. I get it...they are cheap to hire but but my repeat business does deserve more than this. The two working refused to answer the simplest of questions without scoffing and sneering (how to print a doc from their computer), and were making fun of my husband and I in front of our faces. The service here is very rude. I returned two AT&T receivers there, and six weeks later I get a notice from my provider that they never arrived. My first call to the shop, I speak to an older woman and told that they keep no records of returns, and the receipt issued to me on day I took them in was in my hands, and that's it. I later spoke w/ UPS Customer Solutions Department, and told me they'll take care of it. CSD instructed me to just call the store, and have the manager send them an email listing my account #, name, and date of return. Manager answered the phone, as I begin to forward the instructions, she cuts me off and shouts repeatedly "No, we don't do that." I ask "you can't email UPS CSD w/ the info", and replied "No, you got paper, we're done" CSD had to then call the store while having me on hold, and have her send the email by EOD. They also said she would apologize to me for her behavior, and when I spoke to her again to take note of my info, no apology. read more

I've been to this store locations a few times and been lucky enough to be assisted by a young man named Phillip. To say he was helpful would be an understatement! He helped me with so much and was able to help everyone that came in the store at the same time. I rarely write reviews but i had to for him!
