I love this place, it's much more convenient than the post office, the staff is always helpful and friendly. The cost is a little higher, but so worth not dealing with the parking and people at the post office. They have all the supplies you need to pack yourself, or they'll pack it for you. This is my 2nd bad experience with this small business. The 1st time attempting to return a Fed Ex package and mail another, I was ignored and "passed over" so they could assist a fellow middle eastern countryman, that did not appear to have an ongoing conversation. Today, I was told by the same man that my Fed Ex package was "too big" and 1.) Fed Ex may not be able to take the package today and that Fed Ex had the right to "refuse it now in order to pick up later if their truck was full." He said he would make an exception since I had already brought the package inside but if he would have saw me outside he would've refused and sent me away. Immediately after saying this an older gentleman, likely related to him, appeared from the back saying "they would NOT take the package, contradicting the first gentleman. He said they could not store the package it in their facility, explaining that FedEx does not pay them but instead they pay FedEx. Information that should not concern me as a customer and not the business owner. I felt attacked and discriminated against. This business needs ethics and business 101 education. I ignored the racial discrimination the first time, but I will not do it again. There are many small businesses that understand the value of customer service. I highly recommend you find one of those before patronizing this one. read more

My husband went to ship a computer monitor for me. They charged him $32.70 for a box and bubble wrap. This is crazy and completely unfair. I went back and stated my disappointment and the owner gave me $15 back after I stated to charge me just for the bubble wrap and I will take the item back as it wasn't packed yet. I am so disappointed! I dropped a package off here on January 26th and the package has disappeared. The recipient never received it, it was never returned to me, it was never even scanned. It is impossible to get anyone on the phone with usps to open a claim and I keep getting an error message on their website when opening a missing mail claim. The shoes were expensive and now they are gone. All because I dropped them off here instead of taking them to the post office. How a package vanishes makes no sense. I stopped by today to get 4 b/w pages printed from my handy flash drive. Not sure if it was the owner I was dealing with but he was courteous nonetheless and brought my flash drive to his computer station to print out. He brought the 4 pages to the counter and asked me if there was anything else I needed. I said no that was it and then he tells me that would be $5. I was shocked and in dismay. $5? i asked and he said yes. I usually use my printer at work and didn't think $5 was right. He proceeded to say that all FedEx Kinko's charge this and asked me how much I wanted them for. I said they shouldn't be more than $0.20 a page and he said copies are $0.15 to $0.20. Unsure as to what his reasoning was here. Anyways I had enough sense to not get ripped off here and went elsewhere. I went to a local Staples who charged me $0.11 a page plus tax. My grand total was $0.48 and this place wanted $5.00 from me. That's over 10x what I paid. I later called the FedEx Kinko's in San Rafael and they also quoted me $0.11 a page. Did this guy have some lapse in memory? I should have asked him to call FedEx so he could hear for himself how much it cost. I really like to patronize local businesses over the big box stores but I will definitely not be coming back here. This establishment gives local businesses a black eye. I come here for faxing, photo copies, passport pics and the like. They also notarize stuff. Prices kinda high but you can negotiate sometimes. I gave it 3 stars for convenient location and friendly helpful service. I didn't give it 5 because there's no AC or maybe they are too cheap to turn it on, and today it happened to be 96 degrees outside. Needless to say my passport photo has caught a sheen of perspiration on my face haha oh well. Guess it'll have to do. That must be what I really looked like. lye/deception/ owner does not difference between ground and priority shipping I went to postal annex to send a passport to a Friend in France. Time was off essence. I told then that whatever the price I needed the fastest way. I was told that Fedex would be the fastest and that the package would arrive the next Wed. The price was steep $88.00 but I proceeded and going out I called my friend to tell her the news. She thank me and proceeded to buy her plane ticket for the next Thusrday.On that thursday I received a phone call from my friend telling me that the package did not arrive and that she occured a charge to use her plane ticket later. I did use the tracking number and notice that the package was send by Ground and not priority. Brought the fact back to postal annex and was told that they did nothing wrong ; it was the fault of the french custom. After arguing the point, i was told that they will credit me the charge. I went back there for other business and was not told that the owner change his mind and did not credit me. I received the credit card bill with the charge. Back to the store where I was told they did nothing wrong and that was the end of it. My business relation with this business is over. They do not know their business : ground versus Priority they lye : credit said verbally and then change their mind They smile at you when you come doing business without having the decency to tell you that you would not get the credit read more

The owner / operator makes a point to always go out of his way to help me with the things I require and is always willing to take the time to make sure my service is completed successfully. I've been a customer of Postal Annex for 2 years. Now I'm moving and I just found out that I cannot get my mail forwarded. The USPS forwarding services do not apply to commercial operations like Postal Annex. The owner of this franchise said he would only honor holding my mail for 2 weeks, then trash it goes unless as USPS suggested I could now pay to have Postal Annex resend junk mail plus the odd important mail that will probably wreak havoc on something if I don't get it in time. Over 2 years you convert everything over to an address religiously. However, I now have spent hundreds of dollars to have someone put letters into a box only to find out I cannot now get that same person to forward my mail to my new address without additional cost. I was told nope your responsibility to make sure everyone has your address. Too bad. Good bye. Well good luck anyone using Postal Annex. I come here specifically for the great fax prices and friendly fast service. I tried this place out about two years ago and have been happy I did ever since. They've saved me a bundle on faxing and save me time too. Most recently, they didn't charge me for a stupid fax situation (the faxee was at fault, I discovered after the fact...long tedious backstory), when they would have been well within their rights to charge me the full amount. I shipped two items through him. They were items to be returned to the manufacturer. Both were unopened packages in their original manufacturer packed boxes. I insured the items for $600 each. Both packages were severely damaged by UPS. When I tried to file a claim to recover the $1200 Insured them for, he got visibly upset and was no help at all. I paid $104 to insure and ship the items. He later informed me that I would have to "deal with UPS on my own". I thought I was paying a premium to have his assistance in the event something like this happened. I was wrong!!! He went on to inform me that he felt the boxes were packaged incorrectly and that as a result he would be unable to go through with the insurance claim. Bottom line was that he inspected the packages prior to shipping, if he thought that they were not packaged sufficiently he should have said something before he shipped them. He was very friendly when he took my $104 but when I really needed help to recover the value of the damaged items (which I paid a lot of money to insure) he blamed me and was very rude!!! If you are shipping anything of value DO NOT USE HIM!!! So disappointed! I WILL NEVER USE HIM AGAIN!!! read more
