Feels scammy... I went in to return a package from Chewy using a QR code. I asked them (older couple seemingly in their 70s or 80s) if they do QR code returns. The man said to "bring it and we'll try" so I brought my package in. They scan the code on my phone and it works, so they accept it. Then, the woman asks if I can give them $1 for the printing of the label. I thought she was joking because they both started laughing and it sounded like a request for a donation, not a fee, so I started laughing with them. But then they kept saying to give them a $1 because it cost them $80 to buy the scanner and also because they're a franchise and the franchise owner told them they have to charge customers to get their money back. Feels SUPER scammy. The scanner is a business expense and the fee wasn't listed anywhere. They kept insisting I pay them $1 saying "it's just $1" and "you can pay that." I don't know if this legal or not, but I felt VERY uncomfortable being coerced to pay for something that I didn't need to. The label was already on the box and $1 isn't much, so I didn't want to fuss about it. I also did not want them to not mail my package, so I did pay the $1 just to be done with it. However, I will NOT be coming back here as it seems they made me pay for something that I wasn't required to. After I walked out the door, I turned around and went back in and took a photo of the package with the label on it because I didn't want to take any chances with them possibly not returning my package and I heard the woman saying under her breath "stupid questions" and I'm pretty sure she was talking about me. Came in for a LifeScan (fingerprinting), and it was a slow process. The elderly gentleman was nice enough, but then made me pay $3 for copies of the form, even when I said it was unnecessary as my hiring contact never mentioned that and simply said to print and supply the owner with what they sent me. He kept on insisting that I needed to mail one copy and then keep one for my records. $3 down the drain for two very expensive pieces of recycled paper. read more

Not bad I needed to get a Live Scan so I swung by here as this was one of the closer locations and I needed to get a couple things done. I frequent Postal Annex to ship my Poshmark packages. I've never had a problem. The man working the shop has always been so friendly and sweet. Poshmark has prepaid labels so you put it all together yourself and drop it off. This is a good place to do things like that. Always shipped on time. read more

After doing some research found out the "attorney" who private messaged me on yelp : Anna K , is probably the owner/ family member @ this location. Since I seen multiple "fake" reviews posted by this individual praising their own business, Postal annex. I just am utterly disgusted at how I was treated by the owner of this place, FIRST OF all he was NOT EVEN wearing his mask properly and used skimpy OLD baby wipes from the corner store to wipe the live scan fingerprinting machine. ESPECIALLY DURING A TIME OF A PANDEMIC RIGHT NOW??? This is not WHAT I EXPECTED? On top of that TOOK ONE HOUR TO complete the whole process, he DOES NOT know ANYTHING about the live scan process....He asked me and my sister questions on what to click on his computer screen LOL. AND WASTED 3 LIVE SCAN APPLICATIONS FOR MY FAMILY AND I ? HOW IRONIC that this anna k person left a bad review for appliance repair master demanding for a measly 200 back... but refuses to reimburse more than that to his client. My sister and I went in to try to get a reimbursement since our live scans were unfortunately not processed correctly because the owner obviously DOES NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT LIVE SCANS AND FINGERPRINTING!!! PLEASE REFER BACK TO THE PREVIOUS BAD REVIEWS! The owner took off his mask and started YELLING at us in front and kept telling us it was our fault that the paper work did not get processed when it was a computer mistake and most obviously was his fault. Even the lady who did our fingerprints recently, the provider informed us that IT was so Mr Mody's fault. I don't normally review businesses but I had to for this one. The clerk was on the phone taking personal calls regarding over paying on his $600 electric bill for his rental. I know far too many details after waiting 10 minutes to hand him a package. Only after he was placed on hold by the other party did he asked me to drop off my package and go - without a receipt. Needed LiveScan done and decided to come here instead of UPS as it was about $10 less. No frills place; family owned. I spent a decent amount of time in the store getting fingerprinted so i can confirm they do not give receipts if you drop off a package, my guess is because they're a third party. Anyway, you likely wont be welcomed in but just kindly assert yourself and ask for what you want and you'll be helped! They do key copies as well - i got two done and no problems. My mom needed documents notarized and this store is close to where I live. I'm glad we came here because my mom had a ton of questions, and the gentleman who runs the store was very patient and explained everything to my mom. We ended up coming in the next day to get another document notarized because my mom forgot she had another document, and it was the same consistent and good service. I'm a little surprised at the bad reviews. I've been there for State Bar fingerprinting, and twice for shipping a computer. Each time, the owners were really sweet. I agree that the place isn't pleasant to the eye. But the owners helped me pack my computer, find a box, and even made small talk. I guess I don't have high expectations of a postal outlet. I wish I could give minus starts to this place. Extremely rude and disrespectful people work here. There was this old man and an old woman, who didn't want to talk with courtesy. I had an infant with me and they just didn't want to help me at all. Forget physical help, they didn't even get up or come closer to discuss my package drop off. Refused to print my label, refused to accept the package and asked me to leave the office. The old lady asked me - what brings you here? I said - I need to drop off the package. Can you please print my label? She says - we don't do that. I said fedex always does that for me and I have an infant, the package is heavy. Could you please print? I can pay you the charges. She says - then why did you come here? why don't you leave and go to fedex? Really? Is this how you talk to your customers? I came to this place to drop off pre-paid package. Package itself weighted about 40 pounds and was quite bulky. It was really hard to fit it to the trunk of my car because both weight and size. I went here because it was close to Safeway. It was a convenience play. I had a prepaid FedEx package that I wanted to drop off. I walked into the establishment and approached the counter. An older gentleman was sitting in a fold out chair. While he wasn't in the middle of doing anything, he also didn't acknowledge my presence. I told him, "Hi, I'd like to drop off this prepaid package." He didn't respond. I looked over my shoulder and noticed a woman being much more animated because of her amusement with a YouTube video playing on a desktop computer. I looked back at the man behind the counter and this time formed a question instead of a statement as a means to draw a response - "Can I give this package to you to ship back via FedEx?" This time he pointed his index finger just above the countertop. I asked him if I was to drop the package there. He confirmed by pointing down this time. I asked, "Is that it?" I was a bit concerned that this package might not make it to it's destination. He didn't respond. I would give the place one star, but I just called the recipient of the package and they confirmed that they indded have tracking on it. I guess the guy behind the counter just thought that I was a complete waste of time since I wasn't necessarily paying for anything. Who knows? A couple bucks I can understand, but $4-7 on "flat rate" packages? ***Pros*** -No line, probably due to my issues and those mentioned in all the other 1 or 2 star reviews. ***Cons*** -Flat rate USPS services cost an extra $3-7 more than you would pay at the post office. -The guy misquoted me a cheaper rate, then told me the actual rate once we had already boxed up the item and sealed it. -This place is a sauna, which is especially bad because... -...the service is SLOWWW. Can you believe they charge you $1 for the shipping label envelope which every where else (even another postal annex) will give it to you free. I came for a quote to ship overnight, he said $30. I went to USPS, $8! Beside, they are not friendly people. No services. Sit and playing with their phones and don't even bother to answer your question. You have to repeat yourself few time before they give you the annoy look and ask what do you want? Please do yourself a favor and drive a little more and go to ups/FedEx/ usps. Trust me! Ask the price for everything before you do anything here. Total bait and switch. I went here to get a document printed. There is a sign on the table that clearly says Black and white prints are $0.25/page. First off it took about 20 minutes for him to print my document out which was only 6 pages. The computer was slow, the printer was not responding etc.. etc... Finally after the document was printed I was informed that the price was $1/ BW page. When i pointed out the sign to the owner, he said that, the $0.25/page was only if your printing from the internet but if your printing from a thumb drive its more which was not stated anywhere in the sign. So what should have been a 2 minute job and in theory cost me only $1.50 took 20 minutes and cost be 6 bucks. I'm going to fedex next time read more

Highly unprofessional. I came here for fingerprint. The owner and the wife served us. It took the guy 40 minutes just to figure out what to do, like how to enter info in the computer, where to send etc.. He asked me couple times what is this what is that, is it the right form, he can't find the number. And he said he did that before. Very assuring... And another one hour later, it's finally done...It normally should take 10-15min... I just read the other review saying they messed up that lady's result. I am not surprised at all. This is a place from hell. I went there this morning to drop a FEDEX shipment (medium sized box with a laptop). The box was not taped because I was not sure if the store would like to see the contents or not. I requested the store owner to tape it and he points to the wall and asks me to buy a roll of tape at the exorbitant price and tape the box.
