I like to come here for all my postal needs, even though it is further than the post office. First of all, their supplies are the cheapest I have seen. Second, Alan the guy who is pretty much always there, is super nice and accomodating. Third, he will always put extra tape on your package free of charge. Fourth, he has a computer system with a monitor faced towards you that shows the address as he types, allowing you to double check, and shows all your shipping options/arrival day/price right there. I have a postal box here. They're always friendly (especially that "one guy" from the other review who seems to work every day!) and know me on sight so I don't have to remember to bring my key. They hold packages that don't fit in the box and make sure they get signatures. I trust them with high-value packages because they seem to be very impeccable with everything. Prices are reasonable for my postal box, and for the supplies and other postal needs they sell. The one downside is that unlike the post office, you can't get to your box unless they're open. To that end, they could close an hour later every day to help me get there, but as a family-run operation, I can't blame them for needing some time off. I came here to make photo copies. If i need simple black and white copies to be made, I'll make this my go to spot. There is one copy machine and it's the time you scan to when you receive the copy is fast. Copies are 10cents a page. There is a sign above the copy machine that says something along the lines of, "We all make mistakes. The first mistake copy is on us, the others are half off." Nice right? When you are done with copies, go to the register and pay. Gentleman working this afternoon was very nice and professional. Overall the store is clean, organized, and had a nice atmosphere. I was wrong to be skeptical. Allan saw me struggling to bring my shipment in through the door and came over to help me. He worked out the safest and least expensive shipping strategy and did his work quickly and effectively. His final cost was below his original estimate. He knows his business, a true professional. This place is fantastic so far! I recently started shipping through FedEx more often and needed to drop off my packages. At first, I went to Kinkos, but had a distasteful experience with the customer service person there. Any way discovered that just down the street was PostalAnnex+ which was a FedEx Authorized ShipCenter. The person there was super awesome and helpful, as I had questions about my shipment. She even resized my shipping label to fit my package. I will for sure be back for any of my shipping needs, plus... their store has a bunch of knick knacks and cards etc, great to just peruse around! read more

Came here for a passport photo earlier today. After coming in, I was informed that I wasn't allowed to have any of my piercings or my plugs in my stretched ears. I did a lot of research before I went in today, and I did not see a single thing about this. She insisted. I struggled to get my piercings out, piercings I have been wearing for years, and the woman who was helping me kinda shooed me away and told me to come back when I removed all of my piercings. I was so flustered I just needed to get my photo before my appointment, I went to my car and removed them and took the photo. Paid the price and left. Went home and did a fair amount of research, and found that that was absolute crap. The damn government website even says, "You can wear jewelry and keep on your facial piercings as long as they do not hide your face. Permanent tattoos are acceptable for passport purposes as well". I have stretched ears and various very tiny piercings on my face. Definitely not covering a single thing. With that, and knowing that my friends who I am traveling with were able to take their passport photos with no issue (piercings and all), really bother me. I came here because all of the wonderful Yelp reviews and I am extremely disappointed to have to post this. I had to take the photo, and I had to submit it, but I'm very disappointed with my experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone with piercings looking for a passport photo. Sadly, I didn't know that was something I had to look out for. Now I know for next time I can go somewhere else. read more

definitely a convenient place to mail your letters and packages. letters are metered, i.e. weigh and pay, they put a sticker/stamp on your letter. note that they do not sell stamps here, but you can walk next door to cvs if you need stamps. customer service is great and there is never a long wait. parking is plentiful in el monte shopping center. read more

Service is excellent, I like the fact that the boxes kept until pickup are locked up. Other places don't lock them up. The only thing I don't like is that the address for your rented mailbox is not a standard USPS address. So certain web-sites won't accept their address based on USPS rules. You have to call customer service for that web-site owner, and they can override their systems and put in the Postal Annex address you get when you rent a box there. But having tried Greenmail and two others, is place is clearly superior for receiving mail. However, for receiving boxes, the fact that this Postal Annex only opens at 10 AM on Saturday means that when UPS or Fedex or DHL arrive before 10 AM on Saturdays, the parcel will not be delivered on the promised date. They really should open earlier for this situation. read more
