Staff has always been so nice. Ive returned several items and each time is a good experience

It's a convenient spot. But convenience leaves the room if you have an employee who doesn't know what they're doing. Typically, there isn't a line and I go in there, quickly drop off my return and I'm on my way. 10 seconds! Done and done. Unfortunately, my experience today did not reflect their usual quickness. There was a very long line, which couldn't be helped because of what the items were that were being shipped by the customers at the registers. After 10 minutes, it was finally my turn. I had a simple return with a QR code. And I had elected the "no pack no label" option. Which means the UPS store packs and labels your shipment. Unfortunately, the employee didn't seem to know what he was doing. And after waiting 10 minutes, it was annoying to say the least. First, he told me that the QR code had already been used. Of course it had not. So I told him to try it again. Of course, when he scanned it the second time he realized it had indeed, not been used. Then he said sorry we can't ship this because you haven't packaged it! What the hell? I told him it literally says on the QR code that I don't have to pack it....(Que the eye roll). He didn't know what to do until the employee next to him told him that I was right! That they had to pack it and label it, per the instructions related to that QR code. The employee handling my shipment return was just totally confused and after waiting 10 minutes, I didn't really have the luxury of time for his confusion. It was very inconvenient. Not only for me, but for the other people standing in line. What is usually a quick 30 second turnaround, turned into five minutes of an employee who was unaware of protocol with certain returns. The problem here is if the well-versed employee had not been there to assist the confused employee handling my return, I would've had to leave and go to another location to process my return. And often times there is only one employee at this location. So if I walk into this location the next time and I see this particular employee at the register, with no other employees there, I'm going to walk out and go to a different UPS store to avoid issues. read more

Easy dropoff and got some quick help from the staff. They're easy and I always do all my amazon returns there.

Located right in the Rancho Shopping Center, its convenient and a super friendly staff. I have been here from services from mailing packages to having notary services being done. Every time I have come in here, they have been very knowledgeable and helpful and helpful in saving money in terms of mailing vs other services to the notary services I have had to have done for myself. I even remember one time that my mother needed something notarized Sudha was super helpful to my mother. I think their smiling and caring staff will be remembered by all that enter and exit their stores. From the super savings they have at this moment in renting your own PO Box with an actual physical address to their fine array of other services, This UPS Store is very convenient in the Los Altos/ Mt View area. read more

My UPS app said my package had arrived for pick up at this location. They said they did not have it despite the UPS system saying that it had been delivered there days earlier. One of the employees said the note in the record was that it had been given to "the boy". They offered no help or further explanation and turned me away. What? read more

I've dropped Amazon returns here a few times and the experience is fine. However, anytime I need do something other than hand them a package, I run into issues. The junior people aren't trained to do anything more complex than simple returns, so I usually have to wait for the manager to help. Of course they don't tell you that, so you go through the whole process before being handed over and go through it all again. Most recently, the owner helped me with an international package and both her and her junior associate gave me two price options. They failed to tell me the cheaper option would be via usps and therefore out of their hands as soon as it was collected. When I called for tracking info they told me it was with usps so they didn't have any info. The worst part was, after speaking with usps, I found out I was charged 3X the price at this ups store! Don't be like me, spend the 5 extra minutes to go to USPS. They're much more helpful, friendly and honest in their pricing. read more

Not one to write reviews, but have been going to this store for over a decade and service has only gotten better over the years - Best value for your $. - Service is quick/efficient can go in and out very quickly. Excellent service of the many locations I have been to in Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View & Palo Alto. Service during pandemic was amazing and post pandemic has only gotten better. - The staff (Manager & team) are courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, go out of their way to understand and the needs of the customer and help resolve their issue. Useless place with the most Unfriendly service. The woman there can't smile and she always had a complaint about any service you need. The last straw was when I needed to ship back an Amazon return and she refused saying Amazon shouldn't have sent it because she didn't have a big enough box. I knew she was lying. She told me it's a mistake by Amazon even though it clearly said on the Amazon instructions that any UPS store will package and ship for free. I left and went to another UPS store a mile away and they shipped it with a smile. No problem whatsoever. The place is a fraud, collecting money from Amazon but not doing their job. Don't go there! Go to the UPS store on Main Street in downtown Los Altos instead. They are friendly and ship my packages with a smile! read more

The owner is super cheap here. If you have forgotten to seal your box, she will not allow you to use her tape. Instead, she will require you to buy a full roll of their overpriced tape. The gentleman ahead of me also had the same problem and made the same complaint. This owner really needs to take heed. Otherwise she will lose a lot of customers. This is the only UPS that I know that does this to their customers. I think it's cheap of them and poor Customer service. I live in the neighborhood and have been to this store many times. It does not help that the owner herself is not nice at all. I have been coming here for a couple of years and she's definitely rough around the edges. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen her smile in all the times I've been in her store. So this issue with the tape is just another strike against her and her store. Place always opens late. Hours state open at 8:30 am. Numerous occasions wasted time waiting for them to open. Most recently waited until 9am and still nobody there to open. Ended up leaving. Waste of time this place. They also try to nickel and dime me to tape a package close. read more

I love this UPS! This UPS Store is near a Starbucks so I love grabbing a coffee and dropping off my packages in the morning. The woman with long black hair is so sweet. Always handles my crazy amount of Amazon returns. There's a tall, younger man with dark hair too. He's awesome. They always acknowledge you and say they'll be right with you if there's a line. They're timely and always give me a receipt. Hopefully this location never goes away! :) read more

Store #7463, Marsh Manor, Redwood City I emailed the store needing help with a print order (formatting was messed up when I tried to do it through the online portal). I received an email within the hour with exactly the help I needed! Amazing customer service from Wesley - I was dreading bringing in all my young kids to print, laminate, and wait on my own. Terrible and possibly the worst UPS store! Came here for live scan because their website says it's walk-in anytime during business hours. Came to the store around 4 pm today and there was only 1 employee with long line, we waited for around 20 -25 mins for our turns and she told us they only do live scan after 5:30 pm. I told her this is not stated on the website or anywhere at the store and asked if this apply to all the UPS stores then she said no, it's just that they are super busy during holiday season and need to cater to the shipping customer first So basically this lady just made up her own rule since she doesn't wanna do our business probably cuz they get paid less money doing live scan than shipping. To owner: if you are so busy that your employee can make up her own rule, please hire more help, especially during holiday season and peak hours Don't come here and do yourself a favor, go to the one on Main Street Los Altos read more

Sorry same driver at downtown los altos store where they took the box. But thanks for putting us in the position of unloading and reloading the 110 lbs box twice then driving around town calling into UPS head quarters rerouting to equivalent store I emphasis equivalent to yours- not the main hub in sunnyvale you directed me to. t The downtown main-street store with easy backdoor access off of San Antonio took it no problem and I got my refund again no-thanks to you. Maybe if you have a problem with your driver its because you as unhelpful to him as you were to me. Do NOT use this business. They LOST my daughter's birthday package!!! It ruined her special day and mine too! There is a new guy there that doesn't know what he is doing. I paid 2 day air Am delivery and the package is lost. The business wouldn't help me file a claim. I would go to another UPS store if you have anything important to send. Absolutely abominable policies or service. Not sure which. A package was delivered to our home based on an extra "ship to" label that been affixed in addition to the original label. Opening the package, I discovered the contents were not meant for us. I took the opened package, packing materials etc. to this UPS store and the staff refused to redirect the package properly because it had been opened. I could not believe it. read more

Sudha and team in this UPS store provides a cozy, friendly and customer-oriented service to our neighborhood and it doesn't feel like it's a "retail location of a big corporate" at all. This review is somewhat late in being posted, but "better late than never," right? This is regarding the UPS Store at 1030 East El Camino Real in Sunnyvale, CA. The cross street is Henderson Avenue. My son and his fiancee were planning an upcoming wedding which was to be held on September 18, 2021. They live in Texas. I wanted to mail to them a family heirloom -- it contained a number of pieces -- which I was passing on to my son and his fiancee, and that I had packed (I thought carefully) for shipping. I had packed it in a way that I had thought would be sufficiently safe for transporting it to them. When it was my turn at the UPS counter, the person who helped me (I later learned) was the manager of that particular UPS Store. She indicated that the contents of the package -- the way that I had packed it -- were not securely in place, and that they would be "sliding around" within the package if it were to be shipped that way. She must have noticed my despair about what to do, at that point! She asked another UPS worker to please handle the counter customers while she and I went into a back room, in order to address the problem. The manager's name is Kate Yu. She then, in an incredibly kind and helpful manner, took the time and trouble to open the package and completely repackage it in a manner that would ensure that the contents inside -- the family heirloom items -- would arrive safely and securely at their destination. I was incredibly grateful to this person, Manager Kate Yu, for taking pity on me and taking the time and trouble to completely repackage these precious items, and to then close up and secure the package so that it would be safe for shipping to Texas. By the way, the package -- and of course the valuable contents -- arrived safely to my son and his now wife in Texas. This manager did not have to go so many extra miles to help me on that day. She did not complain about the effort, and she was incredibly friendly and kind to me the entire time that she was working on correctly packaging up the items. I regret that it has taken awhile for me to write this YELP review, but I did not want to forget to call out: UPS Manager Kate Yu for her incredible kindness and helpfulness! I can't recommend this store enough for any of your UPS needs, ranging from notary to deliveries. The staff is friendly, quick, and diligent, resulting in service unparalleled by any other UPS I've been to. While my main experience with this store has been for notary purposes, the few times I did deliver packages were excellent as well. Overall, I would highly recommend this store if you require any of their services -- you won't be disappointed! read more

Sudha (the store owner) is amazing. I recently used her service to packag a large, very expensive, and very fragile glass sculpture (a Chihuly for those of you who are familiar with his work) for air shipment. Sudha stayed late in the evening to insure it was properly packaged, and after opening it at my destination, it was in perfect condition. She communicated with me during the several days required to procure a proper size box and all the packing material, and stayed by her estimate even when the material cost increased.
