First of all, as a service member, on an island, I just want to point out that it's really hard to get off the base in the first place. I had to drive my car halfway off the base and then walk the rest of the way because it would've been an hour to get to town. Second of all, I want to point out that one of my officers, who is an extremely competent woman, was looked down on when she asked a question at this very location. I almost wrote a review for her alone, and then forgot about it. Then I happen to be opening up Escrow for a home and when I looked up places in Coronado that do money wiring, transfers, Postal Annex came up as one of the results. I quickly asked the woman with dark hair and glasses if they do wiring, and she rolled her eyes and said no. I laughed bashfully and said that was kind of rude. But inside, I wanted to yell at her so badly. In fact, I almost took a picture of her, but I don't want to ruin her full reputation. She may not have known about my hour trek just to get there and the four places that also didn't have money wiring where other people were polite about it, but she doesn't have to know that to have common decency. It is not right for any one in Customer Service to treat service members or anyone like they are stupid for asking a question. I really hope that whoever is in charge of these representatives can please sit down with these employees and tell them how to do Customer Service. I have worked in Customer Service since I was 16 and I would never treat anyone the way. The behavior was incredibly entitled for no reason and they ruin a lot of days for intelligent people new to the area, completely shutting down the art of curiosity and exploration. I would never attend this Postal Annex if my life depended on it anymore. read more

I went in to print a few documents and photos that were not printing correctly at home. The woman at the counter (Paulina?) was very helpful, and had the documents from my USB drive printed correctly in under five minutes, for under ten bucks. I've used this Postal Annex since it has been under new ownership and found the service to be great, and the staff very friendly and helpful. If I've ever had to wait, it is only because this store is very popular and so has many customers. It also has parking in the back, which makes it convenient when Orange Ave is crowded. read more

Decent place that can handle Most of your postal needs. Staff is friendly and reasonably quick. Prices are Coronado pricey but they get the job done. If all you need is to drop a package for one of the major carriers then this is your place. They sell typical items to include stamps. read more

He skipped me to attend to 2 other customers. I understand being frustrated by a busy schedule, but this was embarrassing & is no way to treat customers who are being objective in what services they require. The service I received from Matt was terrible. He was disinterested and borderline rude. I could tell by his interaction with the woman he was helping as I walked in, she felt the same way. I observed him be short and impatient with her and he was even worse with me. He was so ill tempered I considered walking out and driving to a different location. There were totally weird vibes in this place. The person helping me was insanely slow and rude. I did not receive a receipt and when I asked for one, he seemed annoyed and muttered things under his breath. Just a very weird experience. If you have something that needs to go through FedEx (which I did) drop it off at Walgreens two doors down. You'll get a receipt and they're much nicer. read more

Omg, they say they service fedex but they won't print a label for you even if you have QR code. So I went home to print it brought the label back but they wouldn't tape it. They said they could tape it for a dollar then I asked for a confirmation of drop off and they said it would be $.50 for a confirmation . I live out here and will not be doing business with them or recommend them. I've given them a try a few times and they've always been disappointing and Lack of customer service. They charge you for everything and really aren't helpful plus I don't trust leaving any expensive packages with them especially since they want to charge you for confirmation. For fedex just take it to Walgreens they are more than helpful and send u a confirmation via phone or email for free I recommend the UPS store and the post office both super helpful, will tape up packages, print out labels, etc. and won't charge you for simple things read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I'm shocked this place still exists due to horrific service and laziness. I have been using them for FedEx for over 4 years and every time, without exception their staff are rude, lazy, and unwilling to do their job, oh did I say LAZY!! Yes the most lazy staff I have ever seen in my life. I can provide dozens of examples including my experience today but this review will be a novel in length. If I owned this business, and thankfully i do not, every employee would be fired immediately!! If another FedEx solution was nearby I would go there in a heartbeat. The reviews speak for themselves. I brought a prepaid FedEx return package which simply needed a piece of tape on the top and this guy wanted to charge a dollar. Seriously!? I have a UPS store box so I'm used to their quality service (this isn't a UPS plug). Last time I had a fedex return the UPS store taped up my box for me and directed me next door to the Vons who had a fedex pick up. That's customer service. I walked off but then realized I was shipping something with value of over $400, um I'll definitely need a receipt! I went here today, and a few times before and they WAY overcharge. Today I needed a box and they used a recycled, old box (which is fine with me) but they charged $3 for "office supplies" meaning the used box that was free to them, and tape. THEN they ring me up and charge $2.00 for "labor." Yes, they charged $2 for taping the box. I would've been happy to do it myself to save two bucks. I rarely post anything on yelp yEt this experience was the worst experience I have ever had at a postal annex. After waiting 15 mins for the owner to help 1 person and all I needed to do is drop off and get a scanned recceipt of 2 packages (1 fedex and 1 ups). He wanted to charge me $0.50 for a receipt and after arguing with him that I have never been charged anything for any scans from ups, FedEx or any other postal annex store I agreed to pay for the receipt since it was getting too late to make it to another store, so I said that I would pay the $0.50 and he said no it is $0.50 per scan. This guy was a piece of work. The Owner is a small Asian man, he was very rude and slow to work with. I would highly recommend not giving him any of your business. shipped 5 FedEx packages with pre-paid labels. Gentleman behind desk would not put the labels in the plastic slips as he said it was not his responsibility. Very strange. He also charged 50 cents per box for a receipt as the store does not receive any compensation from FedEx and he would have to scan the packages which takes his time. It was an odd transaction to me and I would have gone elsewhere if it was convenient. I understand business but it was the manner in which he addressed the issue and spoke to me. I would also give zero stars if I could. This morning, 4/22/21, just after they opened, I had the rudest customer service experience I've had in a long time. Now that I read the other comments, I'm not surprised. Because of Coronado parking, I walked two blocks with a 40+ pound package (not my complaint) to get to this Postal Annex+. When I finally got there, the clerk asked me if it was drop-off only. Since this package is for work, I replied, "Unfortunately, I have to get a receipt." I was appalled when the man pursed his lips and rolled his eyes at me! When I responded with, "I can take it somewhere else", I got no reply, just a continuing disdainful expression. I am not a "Customer Service Snob" but I am furious at being treated this way in a professional environment, if you can call it that. I did take my package somewhere else and I will NEVER step foot in this establishment again. This was very frustrating. The employee could not manage multiple customers at one time. He would bounce back and forth between people and not help get anyone out of there. We were pretty must all standing there waiting to pay while he was looking at the computer like he was doing something but he wasn't. Right when I walked in the door, I asked him if he could scan a FedEx label from my email and send it. He said yes. But, turns out he couldn't after asking him DIRECTLY. I have a PO Box here for my business, and Huong & Thuy are great to deal with. I usually use my business UPS account to pay for my shipping and just drop it off here. They never hassle me about drop of charges, etc. The one time that I did have to use FedEx to overnight something, Thuy helped me get it out just in time for the deadline, and even gave me a small discount! I didn't ask for it, she just saw how frustrated I was trying to make the deadline and helped me out. I've used them for Notary services as well, and they make it really easy. Even when they have a crowd, they multi-task and get everyone taken care of. I highly recommend. read more
