Maria is a wonderful employee. She goes over and beyond in terms of her customer service. She answers the phone during her lunch and will help customers even if they arrive a few minutes after closing. And if she's the only clerk working she will only take a 30 minute lunch instead of a full lunch. In addition she is very knowledgeable and helpful. Absolutely terrible experience. I've been dropping off my packages off here for years, earning them commission. They mishandled one of my UPS packages and sent it out with USPS packages. Tracking never updated so the package is ultimately lost. Requested the owner for footage of the day I dropped it off so I can try to file a claim with UPS, he denied me the first time and the second time I asked him, he claimed he couldn't find the footage. Horrible customer service especially when there's about 10 cameras in that place. Please avoid this place at all costs. read more

I've always had the best customer service experience in this store. Whether it was just for going in to mail an item, buy postage stamps, use the notary service or even the passport service. Brian is an exceptional customer service representative and I greatly appreciated his willingness to negotiate on some of the specialty items. I definitely liked being able to help support Haley with her education endeavors by buying a "Riverside" T-shirt designed by her, where the proceeds went to help her entrepreneurship and education. I've been coming to this place for over 17 years and I AM finally DONE. Multiple times I've noticed them putting in the computer larger dimensions than what I'm shipping and finally yesterday I asked again about it and he says oh well it's only a few cents difference. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? So you do this to your customers intentionally?! Where is your integrity?? Why don't you enter the actual proper dimensions into the computer when measuring someone's package? It absolutely confounds me. I don't care how much your rent is or what excuses you have.. because if you treated your customers more like family and took care of this community with integrity no one would leave to take their money elsewhere because that's how this world works. What you give you get back tenfold. Maybe try giving a little more and see what happens. Oh and one more thing.... The cherry on top.. We bought two sheets of stamps and they charged $36! AND had me put two of them on a letter I was sending literally down the street. So a letter cost me $2 to send from here. Absolutely ripped off. We will never be using this place again. We are moving our money and energy to USPS down Van Buren. This is what happens when you allow money to be your driving force instead of love and community. read more

Came to return a DHL box for my son. I had NO IDEA what I was supposed to do, I brought all the paperwork and a roll of packing tape to seal up the box. A lady and younger employee took over and did it all for me.. and even used their own tape to package up the box! They were so friendly! Thanks :) read more

This used to be my Go To place and they were so quick and easy. Now every single time I go to this location it takes three times as long and Bryan takes sooo long to help one customer. Three customers went through with the other ladies and I was still stuck waiting for him to finish my simple mailing. I was greeted when I arrived to why I am giving them two stars. There was one customer ahead of me. He was sending a fax. While the customer filled out the form the employee asked me why I was there, I told him. Another customer walks in and he asked her what she was in for. She needed to send out a few things, but she wasn't sure if she could send through them. She pulled out her phone to show him the label however they both proceeded into a conversation about something else. So instead of her, searching for the label, she proceeded having a conversation. The customer in front of me was done so we're both just standing there waiting on them to finish their conversation. I had to go because it was close to school pick up. I got there early enough to do what I was there for. Finally she shows him and she couldn't ship through them. He then helps the customer in front of me. Since he was faxing it was going to take a few minutes. Another customer walks in and she's there for her live scan copy. He starts looking for her paper. Once the other customers fax was done he continues to help him. (Which is fine because he's the customer he's supposed to be helping). Once he was done with him he continues to look for the girls paper. At this point I've been waiting 10min. I was the 2nd customer and I was skipped for whatever reason. I walked out. They are not getting my service. It actually worked out for me, I found another place that charged me much less than they were going to charge me. They seemed friendly but skipping me was rude. read more

Won't take USPS or UPS packages or mail unless you rent a PO Box from them. We've done notary and passport services, and have purchased items from them in the past, but will now take our business elsewhere. Shame on them for listing themselves as a postal service, when they will only take packages if you pay their overpriced shipping charges or pay for an unnecessary PO Box. read more

WARNING PRICE GOUGING!! We went in to ship a large flat rate USPS box to my daughter in the military back east on deployment. I tend to stick to flat rate boxes to avoid the worry of shipping cost. A large flat rate shipping box is $21.90 and they charged me $33.99. When I was inquired about the price I was informed that was "their price". That is over a 50% mark up!!! One had a colored letterhead I couldn't understand why I couldn't choose the color option and your staff said that if I wanted to use your copy machine on my own for the lower price that I need I know how to use one. This review is not for their services. It's for the sales lady named April. For years (2009)I have been dropping off USPS here. Today April says, "they" will no take them anymore. Only FedEx/UPS. I said, oh ok.. thanks. I leave with packages. April then walks outside and proceeded to have a conversation about me to a customer outside the business. I was sitting in my car windows rolled down. I heard her entire complaint about "they" don't have a box here and just keep coming in here. And how annoying it is for her. I chose to go to PostalAnnex to get quotes from different shipping carriers. I was shipping a package to South Korea, and knowing the package was quite heavy and the distance to travel, I was expecting to pay in the 3-digit range to ship this package, which was not a problem. But when they gave me the initial quotes between USPS, FedEx, and DHL, I was in complete shock! The pricing was much much more than I would have thought, and I was thinking of just walking out, honestly. This is where I give them a 5-star rating. Instead of them saying 'take the price or leave it', they helped me pack the items in the smallest box possible (which they also gave to me for free), and also gave me a discount to help me out...I was so appreciative! Yes, shipping the package was still pricey (it was a 30+ lb package), but I was so impressed and grateful that they went out of their way to get the package shipped safely at the best rate possible. If I had went to FedEx, DHL, or USPS directly, I know I would not have had that kind of service; Postal Annex saved me at least a few hundred dollars! Thank you so much! I literally come here once a week. I have sent packages, purchased many little items and really enjoyed coming here. I will never come back here again though. My son is 15 and cannot drive and he had prepaid stamped usps boxes to ship to return some items he had purchased online. The online store provided the labels and boxes. Since he was going to practice afterwards he thought I will walk here and ship my packages and then walk to practice. They told him they will not take the packages since he does not own a mail box. He asked if he could pay something and they said no. My son walked to practice carrying these boxes for no reason. I called and asked after the fact and they said he should go to the post office. Never again ... you have lost my business. By the way the UPS store across the street took the USPS boxes for $1. read more

Returned a large box with patio furniture that was to be returned to Walmart. com via FedEx. The return label was securely attached to the box. At the time of drop off, the girl behind the counter refused to give us a receipt and insisted our copy of the return label was our receipt. I said that label would not show that we dropped it at their location. She still would not give us a receipt. It has been one month since we dropped it off and neither Walmart.com or FedEx has record of this item being returned and I will be charged for it. I am sure that this girl took the patio furniture for herself. I will not return to this location for business. Also, previously mailed a birthday card from this location with $ in it. Very disappointed that the women working the counter wouldn't take my package stating it was too large (I would say a 11x14x4) when I could clearly see the area they put the usps packages wasn't that full. If your looking for a good postal annex the one of la Sierra always takes packages even the ones I would say are a true large package and are the most helpful and welcoming owners.
