Rude, unhappy employees! How about a smile or a hello? I went in to ship something and to inquire about renting a mailbox, since I have been moving so often lately. I asked if they had a way to send me a text when I had mail, the way the USPS does (I prefer a real address to a PO box), and they said no. They said I would have to call them to find out if I have mail. I got the feeling these people would not be too happy or helpful if I did start calling them everyday. I agree with the poster below. The 1 stars are from people being rude and demanding . Ken doesn't take their attitudes so of course it's a shock to these people who get their A@@es kissed left and right at Bloomingdales etc. I've been using them for years. I don't understand the good reviews for this place. My mom had a box here for many, many years, and I used to have some packages sent here. Every interaction I personally had (which I always begin kindly and considerately-- I'm not the rude kind) has been extraordinarily frustrating. I do not find the staff kind or helpful. I have often waited at the counter for minutes while employees do nothing, there is no other business there. Needless to say, neither my mom nor myself ever send anything there anymore. She got rid of her box. It wasn't worth the bad vibes and terrible service, the uncalled for rudeness, and the total lack of helpfulness. It may be an efficient place to have mail sent from, but not to be picked up. A package was accidentally sent there, incorrectly addressed. I called and kindly and clearly told them my story-- that the mail was sent to the wrong place, I don't have a box there, and the package doesn't belong to the person with the box. They refused to help. I asked if they could please check- they refused. That's not how you run a business, I'm sorry. Writing scathing reviews is not a habit of mine, and even if I have a bad experience, as long as the employees help in the way they can, Its usually fine with me. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a PO Box. I have had mail stolen from there and packages that have gone "missing". The owner is beyond rude and quite probably a thief. We closed our box and moved to a wonderful and honest place near by. read more

LOVE this place. Ken's great (he may seem snippy at times but behind it he's a hoot), and when I go out of town they'll send me my po box mail no prob, not expensive. For a person who travels a good amount, it's a great option. Plus, really, who wants to go to an actual post office? read more

This place is a scam and they need to be reported to the USPS for price inconsistency and scamming.... which I'll do... the shipping prices are not consistent and the service is terrible. There's a small Asian man that works there- he is disrespectful, unprofessional and rude. I went to ship a sweater (I've shipped the same item over fifteen times in the past few months) and the cost is $8.35, so you can imagine my surprise when the clerk (a woman) tells me the price is $10.55. I explain to her that it's flat rate price and I show her receipts from previous shillings that SHES done for me... she acted completely oblivious and continued to say the prices changed. I show he the receipts and she still looks like boo-boo the fool. Then the Asian man starts yelling at me talking about "You've been here for 15 minuets, you need to go." Do not spend your money at this place- drive five mins and go to a REAL post office. I get asked to leave because they're scammers? Wow... it's okay, KARMA will get you and your business! read more

I come here whenever I need to ship something....mostly returning shoes to Zappos. They are always quick and efficient. There is a large parking lot so it is really convenient. I finally learned his name was Ken. Very personable. Will be back. read more

I've have been coming to this place for about a year almost, for dropping boxes and Mail, and some other services that they offer, I just recently needed a po box, so I did some research and this place had the best prices around. MR Ken has been nice to me so Far, but everyone could be having a bad day. Can't judge a person with one experience. Very clean, professional and convenient place. read more

Came to this place for years and loved it. Never any issues. Went this Saturday (6/9/18) to mail a Father's Day package (it was a gift wrapped pair of sneakers in a shoebox). They said they didn't take credit cards unless you sent via UPS or FedEx, and the ground price to ship from LA-Arlington, Tx, was $33 - $39 for ground shipping. I've been shipping packages via UPS, FedEx and USPS from LA-TX for 20 years and this is twice what I usually pay, including Christmas. And they only let you pay in cash if you want to mail through the "USPS" counter they have. Even the post office accepts credit cards. They told me it would only be $13 to ship ground using USPS. So I said ok, that I'd pay in cash. Then he rang me up and said the charge was almost $20. The cardboard box to ship my gift wrapped box was $6! I looked at him in shock. The boxes are hanging on the wall with dimensions written on them, but no prices anywhere. He said he could take my gift out of its box and I didn't have to pay for it (read: he would just throw the box in the trash - because a box costs them 10 cents). AND they charge .50 for any packing tape used to seal the box. And I checked the tracking number for the package today (receipt says the package would arrive on 6/12/18 - which is tomorrow) and the package has not left PostMasters yet. It was Saturday, I had to get my timely package into the postal system since I have a driver to take me for errands only on this day On entering the post office "ken" tells me: "im sorry. we're closed on Saturdays." Oh no I said my package has sufficient postage and I wont be able to get to the post office all next week. Could you possibly help me? Ken took my package, weighed it for postage and kindly put it in the bin for delivery on Monday. Its always so nice to see people willing to help senior customers. It just made my day. We showed up around 3:18 today and I didn't know they were closed. My elderly mom ran in to drop off my package while I waited in the car. The man who owns the store curtly told my mom "we're closed we're closed." Then harshly slammed the door on her while she was basically standing there and quickly walked away. My mom is in her 70s. This was unacceptable behavior. I approached him in the parking lot and informed him he was rude to my mother. He became defensive and I told him he could have spoken nicely and didn't need to be an "@$$hole". He then called me an "@$$hole" instead of apologizing. Bottom line, he was rude and disgusting to an elderly woman. I've been doing my mail here for 10+ years and was about to open up a mailbox here. Never mind. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, I encourage others to do the same. read more

I am not sure where some of these negative reviews come from: I tend to think people are too full of themselves and/or have too much time on their hands! I have been coming to this facility for over 10 years. They have rescued me more than once: over- or under-packaging, for sensitive items, poor labeling, cheaper shipping, etc. I know that Ken has had different people working there, and I realize that some will be more skilled/helpful than others, but I have never been denied the help I needed, in a reasonable, timely manner. I always try to support small business, but the store is horrible policy's suck , Prices are crazy high / staff is rude and unhelpful. CASH OR CHECK ONLY IN 2018 is inconvenient. Don't waste your money save yourself the trip and stick to the post office, fedex or UPS. read more

This is the rudest establishment. The way he treats people blows my mind. He also cost me $400 and lost me a customer because of his carelessness.. but beyond that.. people need to know that you'll be treated poorly. I agree with many of the posts here. The customer service displayed at this facility begs for additional training ASAP. Sadly, the majority of poor service has come from the owner, so I guess we can't expect the workers to have any better attitude. The service here has gotten progressively worse over the past 10 years. Young girl behind the desk weighing packages is a mean witch..Beware this place. Prices are usually much higher for mailing boxes than the post office. Sometimes several dollars more. Probably have their thumbs on the scale..Won't quote prices, don't tell you the price of the box you are mailing, just race over and print up postage while you are saying wait, wait, what is the price..The owner is standing right there a foot away and doesn't correct her..I have been going to this place for 15 years and progressively the service is getting worse and worse..very unfriendly and I think they overcharge, intentionally or not. read more

We went to this business to send a package. We specifically asked that this be delivered in three days. It was a birthday gift for our 5 year old grandson. When tracking the package it was not going to arrive until the day after his birthday. The man Ken, the manager/owner lied to us and did not do the right thing. I go to this place for convenience only. There is a reason that there is never a line here. The owner, is the most obnoxious person I have ever had to deal with. I have never written a review before, good or bad, but this person is literally the nastiest person I have ever met. There are hand written signs everywhere saying - "don't do this" "don't do that" which in itself is off-putting but this man's horrible unprofessional, rude, attitude is beyond anything I have ever experienced. So my mother went and had a not so great experience and she vows never to come here again she says the customer service is a no and the owner is a no. I thought she may have been sensitive so I gave the place a chance. I live down the street my car was out of service so I walked to mail a letter. Well no letter was mailed. I needed to buy stamps and I was aware they only take cash for them. I get in and there is no one at the front... there is a sign that says no stamps after 4:30 M-F and 12pm SAT. That is fine that I can deal with. The owner (I assume) from the back of the room in a rolling chair says "YES" in the most irritative tone doesn't even have the decency to get out of the chair and see what it is his customer needs. I answered my own question with the sign and said " you don't sell stamps after 12pm..." He didn't even respond and just turned back around. I was so irritated by how he wasn't even polite as a human. He will never get my business. I hope he gets a reality check soon because that is not how you treat people. read more

This week, I got a call from someone who had sent me a letter that contains important information about my taxes; that an important letter they'd sent me had been returned marked "not at this address, return to sender." I called the owner of the service to ask what was going on. He was uncivil, bullying and refused to discuss it or even consider that it was true. Today, I got a box at another location. Not as convenient, but I can no longer take the risk. I am notifying the US post office as he is a contractor, acting on behalf of the post office, and his unwillingness to even discuss problems rationally or civilly is really awful. read more

RUN TO THE NEXT NEAREST POSTAL OUTLET OR THE POST OFFICE.it's 1 star only because I needed to rate to post! I live in the area and have used this place loooong before the current management if you want to call it that took over. I have used this place simply for convenience. Ken is beyond rude and very argumentative. Over the years he has NEVER said hello, thank you or please... you know, the simple things we teach our children. I mailed a package and the shipping was $8 I asked if there was a cheaper way of mailing because that seemed over priced. Ken answered no, when I asked him what it would cost to use a usps envelope he answered $6 and change. I reminded him I just asked if there was a cheaper option. I told him he needed to work on his customer service and he preceded to argue with me like a little bitch saying that he's been serving me for a long time and that I should know better. What business owner speaks to a customer this way. I informed him that he has NEVER served me, just taken my money and there is a difference. I stopped using his place a while back because they are rude and miserable, and I will NEVER use them again! I'd rather stand in line or walk the package cross country then give him another dime!!!!!! Not to mention another customer came in and wanted to drop off a package and stated it needed another piece of tape, he was going to charge her .50 if he did it. I visit this facility daily, Ken is very helpful, he shops around for the best prices on a given packet or a box that I need to overnight. A great place to mail your letters, cards, boxes, etc. Can buy stamps or rent a post office box. For PO Box, a small fee gives you 24 hour access -- very convenient! Ken, the owner, is lovely. He'll even tell you if you have mail in your box if you call and want to save a trip. Very reasonable rates for PO Box rental. We most definitely recommend Postmasters for safety, convenience and professionalism. read more

I have been a customer for at least 5 years and since the first time I walked into post Masters and to this day, I get the best service ever. I get deliveries and ship at least 3 times a week and they are so accommodating to me. The owner Ken is so amazing and goes out of his way to help his clients. They always have a line of clients and they know everyone by name (regulars of course). I have never been to a Post Office since I started my PO Box with them. Even if the prices may vary, you go for convenience. If I have to pay the same or a couple dollars more it's SOOOOO worth my time and they are amazing! read more

I can understand that certain people have had positive experiences at the Post Master, but I've been living in the neighborhood for 8 years, and I've never once had a positive experience at this place. In fact, I usually dread going in there because of the service, but out of urgency have found myself having to go there just for the sheer convenience of the location. Today was the final straw. I'm not a whiny person, I'm always polite, but I would like basic courtesy considering I've been giving them consistent business. This was my third day in a row going in there to take care of packages for work, and I just walked out. I stood at the regular register (not the post office register) for over 10 minutes, no one was ahead of me. There was an attendant sitting at a computer who I said hello to and she proceeded to ignore me. I saw the owner in the back, throwing packages in a bin as if he had a personal vendetta against them, so much anger in this man. He came from the back and ignored me completely, helping two other people who came in after me. He had seen me there three days in a row, GIVING HIM BUSINESS, and blew me off like an annoyance. He finally attended me, (charging me 6 bucks for a crappy roll of packing tape of which the price wasn't even marked) and I told him to forget it and went somewhere else. It was a bit out of the way, but at least I was treated with some respect. The new place I went to is called Personally Yours Mailboxes on Ventura and Ronnie, the lady attending me there, was a total doll and really happy to help. Regarding THE POST MASTER, please save yourself some grief and go elsewhere. There's enough negativity dished out in this town, why go somewhere where you actually have to pay for it! read more

Do not go to this store for your shipping unless you are looking for problems. The owner, besides having a generally bad attitude, packed and shipped a valuable photo so poorly that it arrived bent and destroyed. In fact, the package never arrived at the destination. It was shipped back to me with a label that stated "insufficient address" even though it was the correct address. I believe that this was USPS' fault and not the store's mishandling. But when the box arrived back to me and I opened it up the photo lay in the box, totally unprotected except for brown wrap paper that was all crumpled up on top of the photo. The photo lay below the crumpled paper bent and ruined. I paid $60.00 to have this packaged and shipped. When I called the owner of the Post Masters store to find out how to resolve this problem he blamed the incorrect shipping on me and he also claimed that the unprofessional packaging was my fault too. I had the right address on the box and he took the print from me and he packaged it himself in his back room, I found it disturbing that he was not in the least bit interested in how he could help me resolve the problem that he created. But fortunately, he did relieve me of any other shipping problems that I may incur at his store since I will never enter it again. Just another person that blames their crappy, unprofessional work on someone else. Do yourself a favor and shop around for someone that likes and cares about what they do and how they do it. read more
