Half full large Red Beans and Rice containers opened at home.
Herman D.

Very good food, my only complaint is they cheat you regarding servings. I ordered two Red Beans and Rice to go; when I arrived home I found that each container was barely over half full. Of course I'm sure the franchise knows that once home there's nothing you can do. But perhaps there is!

Fun Facts: Most chain restaurants use an apostrophe in their name. Popeyes is without the apostrophe. The founder Alvin "Al" Copeland jokingly said they were "too poor" to afford the apostrophe. Al Copeland claimed he named Popeyes after the fictional Detective Jimmy "Popeyes" Doyle from the 1971 film French Connection. We've had Popeyes in Shanghai and Hong Kong and its really the best fast food fried chicken chain in the world. Their fried chicken is so juicy and crispy. It really does have the perfect blend of Louisiana spices. Its not overly salty and the skin is so deliciously fried you cannot stop eating the skin. Here's my rankings 1. Popeyes 2. KFC 3. Jollibee 4. Church's

I was soooo stressed after reading the reviews for this location to even consider ordering anything. It turns out that this was the closest location to me and I didn't want to drive farther because the reviews for every location seemed just as bad. I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. I put in my mobile order of 9 signature pieces of spicy chicken. I customized the type and ordered 4 legs and 5 thighs. When I showed up the food was ready and the cashier was really nice. The store itself was clean and there was a worker sweeping up a tiny straw wrapper. The place seemed well maintained. I made sure to open my bag while I was still in the store and everything looked good and accurate. When I got to my car, I was still skeptical. What if they didn't give me spicy chicken? I had to taste it. So I grabbed a leg and took a bite. It was great. It was spicy. Fully cooked. Crunchy and still really warm. Thankfully, my experience ended up being great compared to some of the other reviewers. I'm grateful and would definitely recommend checking out this location.

I had a spider crawling in my food! The manager Stephanie was very rude when I was taking my order. She had an attitude right when I pulled up to the radio in the drive through. After taking a full bite of my tender, I noticed the small spider crawling in my tender box. I am disappointed because the food quality used to be better.

You call this a large coleslaw? Dont piss me off Popeyes im sick of this

And a personal breakthrough: I used to schlep all the way to Larchmont Cheese & Wine or Bay Cities before beach days for a proper sandwich. Not anymore. I have sandwich geniuses living right down the street. The bread? Exceptional. The cheeses? Dangerous. The meats? I may never recover. And then there's the lemon Italian ice. My daughter and I have been here three times in the last week, shamelessly returning like two neighborhood raccoons with excellent taste. It is the perfect antidote to a scorching Altadena afternoon. This place is an absolute gem. Go for the pasta, stay for the sandwich, leave with three things you didn't know you needed and a strong desire to become Italian.

Gabe was friendly, attentive, informative, and offered great suggestions. Food didn't take long to get to my table. Food Of Choice: 1) 1/2 Farm Club and small side (Kale Apple Rainbow Salad) combo: The farm club consisted of avocado, turkey, bacon, mixed greens, herb aioli, pickled red onion, tomato, on original mom's weeded Honey Whole Wheat. Sandwich was good, but thought it would've been a warm sandwich instead of a cold. All the ingredients was quite tasty though. As for the rainbow salad, I thought it was okay. Didn't really like the dressing. It would've been nice if the dressing was not pre-mixed. Mendocino Farms For Thought: I would come back to try more sandwiches (chicken pesto caprese/peruvian steak) and sides (curried cous cous, basil pesto shells, or potato salad). Their soups (tomato basil soup and lemon chicken and farro soup) sounds good also.

Eveyrthing I got in my order was probably the best version of classic dishes. The amount and variety of veggies per dish was also something I really appreciated! Amongst other things I got the salmon salad which is gorgeous and hard to photo because theres a LOT of salmon in it but it's under all the lovely parsley/veg. Salads can sometimes be a little boring or unsatisfying but I was literally going MM!! with every bite of theirs-- and I could only eat half before getting full, which astonished me because I can eat a lot! Lastly their pickles are SO GOOD. I ordered the pickled veggies not really knowing what they'd be or what amount but again, very substantial portion, great variety of veggies, crunchy, and super tasty brine, and once more, a familiar flavor but with a little something extra that makes it super tasty and special! I am extremely rarely impressed with food enough to leave yelp reviews, but this place deserves all the praise and business!

Today I was thinking of giving this place another chance so I opened yelp and searched "hair" and "bug" in the reviews. I can see that things haven't changed. Wish it could be different so I could eat here! Their food is really good except for the hair and bugs. Wash your lettuce! Wear hairnets! Imagine how it might ruin your entire life to bite into a wrap and get a long hair. That is all.

Our food took quite a while to arrive, close to 30 mins! But the staff was very apologetic and even brought us a complimentary muffin while we waited. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and delicious. I swapped the bacon for tofu, and it made for a satisfying breakfast. However, my husband wasn't as impressed with his brisket burrito, saying it was a bit dry. Based on this visit, I'd recommend sticking with the breakfast items, pastries, and of course, the coffee. Copa Vida still makes a great cup of coffee!
