A few weeks ago, I watched a food influencer video reviewing this relatively new item. After that my interest was piqued, and then the coupon arrived in the mail. I decided to purchase two flavors, share one, but conduct a taste test on both. I ordered through the drive through lane, which appeared clean. The ordering process was relatively simple. The payment was processed efficiently and the two Frostys were ready in a reasonable amount of time. The coupon was for a small size, which was great. There were three flavor options. I ordered the Caramel crunch and Oreo brownie. The other flavor was Strawberry Pop-Tart. The finished appearance of the items was pretty good. However, they presented nothing like the coupon photo. Marketing photos will lure you in each time. The flavor of both was basic. There was no wow factor in any aspect. It was simply a vanilla Frosty with caramel pieces and Oreo pieces. Would I purchase it again? Probably not, but it was worth trying, especially on a hot summer's day.

(Note: There is also a McDonald's located on the other side of the mall, inside the Walmart, near Costco.) Parking is a little tight, as it's a busy mall and this McDonald's is surrounded by several other restaurants - Copper Canyon, Chipotle, and Golden Corral - with Wendy's and Chik-fil-a also across the street - this mall has everything! I ordered on the app and the food was ready promptly. There are also kiosks to punch in your order, and the counter was manned occasionally. This is actually the speediest McDonald's that I've been to (this location puts my local Mickey D's to shame). Finally, a fast food joint that knows how to expedite (and with accuracy)... just when I was beginning to lose faith in fast food franchises. The restaurant is generally clean, but tables could've been a little cleaner. Some "cleaned" tables were streaky, there was a little trash on the floor, seats could've been wiped down, etc. They were tidying up the area and sweeping while I was dining in, so the effort is there. There was steady business on a Saturday night, with plenty of customers also dining in. McDonald's over Wendy's.

Upon arrival, the line was already long and disorganized, but to add to the lack of efficiency, a female staff member who was taking payments decided that she would exhibit the lowest level of customer service today. I am not sure where she thinks she works, but she does not have the right to disrespect customers. Not only did she initiate the disrespect, but also perpetuated it by going on and on about it. This female employee actually had the audacity to engage in a back and forth disagreement about the contactless payment process, while smirking the entire time. Instead of taking the payment, ensuring that it went through and staying quiet, she decided that she felt superior about how contactless payments work. The manner in which she handled the situation, proceeded to discuss it with the customer behind me and then call her general manager Noemie on the walkie talkie was all out of order. Instead of the manager coming to me to determine what happened and doing nothing, she should have spoken to the employee about the unprofessionalism of initiating and arguing with customers. Completely despicable behavior and an absolute disregard for customer service etiquette. At the end of the day, an employee's behavior, whether good or bad is indicative of the leadership.

Food is great like the other locations. Every time I go to this location, their scanner doesn't work to get the points. So, they tell me to scan the receipt, which is a hassle, and you have to remember to do that. I had some issue relating to rewards and spoke with the manager, who was nice. I believe it was using my birthday deal, and she tried with the scanner to no avail. She gave me the meal on the house, which was unexpected. That day in winter 2024, this Nando's was my favorite and would've gotten 5-stars. Last time my girlfriend & I were here was on 12/9/25. To be fair, I didn't want to overeat, and getting 1/2 chicken with 2 sides can be a weight gain for me, and my weight was inflated in general in December 2025 due to the holidays. We went for a somewhat early dinner around 5:30 as we had an advanced movie screening at Egyptian Cinemark. I got the 1/4 chicken white with Brussel sprouts (which is always $2 upcharge) and Peri-Peri chips (Nando's fancy way of saying fries). I wish I took a pic of the December 9, 2025 chicken here, but I went only 9 days later to the Laurel location on 12/18 as I had points expiring and needed to use points relatively soon before they went away, and there was a decent amount of meat on the 1/4 chicken as I did sent a pic to my girlfriend from the Laurel location. The chicken at Hanover maybe had about 1/2 the amount of meat as it should have, which the Laurel location was about right and was the right amount of chicken per 1/4 piece in my picture from March 2024 attached of this location then. I was complaining to my girlfriend about this nonsense some of our time here; put me in a worse mood. Also, the Brussel sprouts were in a smaller container, and I'm paying an extra $2 upcharge to get a smaller container. The normal amount of fries, which isn't a ton of fries. I told my g/f I hate to say it, I'm still kind of hungry and kept mentioning possibly going to Yogurt Mountain. I certainly wasn't going to reward Nando's with being more food or dessert there. We ended up going to Yogurt Mountain, which was delicious, but I didn't really want to supplement my lacking meal with sugary dessert when weight was already up in December, not to mention extra cost. The same nice manager who was helpful in early 2024 came around to see how our meals were. I like when managers check on the customers. Instead of my response of great or good, I gave a more of a lackluster response of aah ok. Before I had any chance to elaborate, she quickly walked away. She was going to other tables to see how other tables were doing, so while good she was checking on the other customers, but I was frustrated as I was going to say more. We didn't bother talking to the manager afterward as we didn't have that much time, and remember we were unexpectedly going to Yogurt Mountain to supplement before going to our movie. I went with a couple of friends as we were going to an O's game, and cheaper to eat here than at Camden Yard. They were pretty efficient not having to wait too long on that Saturday.
