When we left "POP Boba" and began drinking this beverage, we noticed a hair assuming it was on the outside but it was clearly in the drink-- we tried wiping the outside for benefit of the doubt of it being in the beverage but it was definitely in there as it was moving around in it. My friend and I were looking for a boba spot to stop at before our trip to the Bay, and we found Pop. I loved that they had a tropical juice section of their menu as I'm always the fruit tea type, and their flavors were very unique compared to your typical boba spot. I ordered the Pink Kiwi Blast which came with calamansi juice with strawberry, watermelon, and kiwi. The drink was very refreshing and not overly sweet. I've been craving for some halo halo for a while now and so I decided to give this place a try. When first arriving, parking is a little tight. It is rather busy as many people are constantly coming and going due to the In N Out located right by the shop. Luckily, my partner was able to snag a spot right in front. But leaving was kinda tedious due to this. Our order also took thirty minutes to make and I think the wait was worth it. I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size as halo halo from other places tend to be a little stingy. But this was the exact opposite. I think I would definitely stop by again to try out their other drinks. The lady working the cashier was also really nice and the place was clean. They share part of their shop with a bakery that's called Starbread. So if you're looking for drinks and some snacks, you can hit up two places at once. We were really looking forward to trying this place because of the reviews. The pictures looked great. When we got there, the person behind the counter didn't help answer questions, didn't give ideas or suggestions, and then didn't ask if we wanted boba pearls. The kids were super disappointed (our fault for not asking; was a good teaching experience!) because of no boba pearls. A bit surprising since most boba shops WANT to upsell. Little Plaza so parking is shared and can be hard to find parking. It's a cute little shop! When we entered I realized that it was shared with a little bakery to the left called Starbread. Which they had Spanish Rolls, so that was a nice surprise. Tried the Mango-Lychee-Tini topped with strawberry lychee. It was refreshing and delicious! They have a decent selection of thirst quenching special drinks. I can't speak for the sugary creamy ones bc I usually go for the clear juice type of boba here. I would recommend ordering 30% sweet bc the original level of sweetness is really super duper sweet! I made that mistake and forgot to adjust sweetness a few times so when I went home, I ended up diluting one cup into 3 cups to adjust the sweetness level. That was a great deal! But not ideal if you are out and about. These drinks are basic drinks with fun toppings and this shop is right next to the StarBread shop (practically sharing a counter) so that's a bonus! The service is nice, usually the two girls working the counter and drinks in the back are super sweet, (like the drinks lol). I haven't been back in a while bc I discovered I could make my own drinks at home by ordering crystal boba from online, getting difference juices from Costco, mixing things up with some smushed herbs like mint or basil, slices of oranges or cucumber, and viola! But on the days that I do want a quick boba, Pop is a good option. read more

Really cute family owned boba shop in Tracy. There is a Starbread Bakery located in conjunction to Pop so guests can purchase double the treats! Our drinks were refreshing and had great tea to toppings ratio. The starbread was an absolute hit for our nieces and nephews because of the sweet and savory delight -- the box of baked goods were gone within minutes. Pop is located in the Fountain Plaza inside of Starbread. This is a busy plaza and may get backed up with the line going to In-N-Out. There was not much service, the employees were not that friendly nor welcoming. I ordered a green milk tea with boba. The milk tea tasted like half and half with a floral/light green tea. If you're a boba connoisseur, you'll love this place. The menu really speaks for itself. This is a small boba shop that shares the location with Starbread Bakery. Came here on a Sunday, and it was quite busy. Service was pretty quick though. The inside is very small, so once you order, it's best to stand outside to adhere to social distancing guidelines and stuff. They could do a better job of announcing that your drink is ready, but you just have to keep a lookout. I got the Para-iso punch with boba, which was good! It was tropical and light with the right amount of sugar. It was a very refreshing drink, and I would definitely come back and get it again. I got a split cup with the Purple Reign (lavender milk tea) and Rosey Cheeks (rose milk tea). I asked for boba to be added to both drinks. The lavender milk tea was really good, but it was a bit too sweet. The rose milk tea was less sweet but I could definitely taste the rose flavor. Overall, both drinks had good flavor but next time I'll probably ask if the drinks could be made less sweet. Most of the boba pearls were nice and soft, but several pearls had a hard center so I'm guessing these were undercooked. The split cup with boba in both flavors was a little over $8. I used to think this boba place was really good, but after getting it a few times this year my thinking has changed. The drinks are a lot more syrupy now. I usually ask for less sugar in my drinks and I just find myself overpowered with sugar and syrup. The boba has been pretty hard a well the last few times I've gotten it. I can only attest to the Tiger Boba Ice Cream. IT WAS AMAZING!! If you get the chance to come here. Get that! I did not try their drinks, but the Ice cream.... oh my goodness. Yes!!!! I haven't tried the boba popsicles people rave about at the grocery store, but my sister has and she said this ice cream was even better! It was creamy. Flavorful. The "boba" was superrrr soft and delicious (I think it was mochi). The staff was very kind as well! And they're right next to the star bread too! Everyone was so nice and friendly. Their bob-drink flavors are a hit or miss. They share space with the starbread bakery so that's a plus. There's no place to sit inside and they usually get really busy so the service is slow and you maybe waiting for a while before it's your turn to even order. But considering they're one of the few decent boba shops in Tracy they can charge the prices that they are for mediocre boba. I got the split cup with lychee and rose milk tea. The lychee one had no lychee flavor, super bitter-strong. The rose tea was perfectly flavorful but REALLY sweet. We also got the Thai-tea and the mango one and to be honest we won't be ordering any of them in the near future. read more

My friend and I popped by POP on a pit stop during our drive home from Yosemite. The have quite a menu filled with fun and creative drink names and drink combos. Drinks like Ya Boy Chamoy, Kung Fu Pandan, Matcha Libre crack me up but I wasn't in an adventurous mood that day to try out anything out of the norm. I ended up ordering the Honeydewdew which is just honeydew milk tea with crystal boba mixed in. The crystal boba was good! Overall drink was delicious! My daughter frequents this place quite often, and today I ended up going with her to get some drinks. Service was fast, but there wasn't too many customers to begin with so that helped. The place shares a storefront with Starbread that sells the Senorita Bread. But this review is specifically to the Pop portion of the store. Unfortunately they were out of a lot of the drinks we wanted, so we had to adjust our options. The drinks we got were still pretty good, I don't do Boba too often but I enjoyed my Pink Kiwi Blast drink, was very refreshing. My son got the Strawberry Fields, tasted like a Strawberry milkshake. My daughter got the Mango & Splash, she always does so no complaints there. My wife ended up getting the Astroworld, not her first choice but she enjoyed it just the same. The place isn't very big inside, but luckily they got our drinks to us pretty quick. They have the cutest names for their drinks. Some I've never heard of before. The employee helping me out said the workers help come up with the names for their drinks. The one that caught my attention the most was the "Almondgeddon" drink, which consists of jasmine green tea, almond milk tea, and crystal Boba. I ended up getting the "Horcha-cha" milk tea, which consists of cinnamon and rice milk tea with crystal Boba. It was BOMB.COM. It tasted exactly like horchata should, sweet and cinnamon flavored. I didn't ask for less sweet b/c I wanted to see how sweet their drinks are. And it was great! It's not overly sweet like other tea shops. Their crystal Boba was also delish. Soft and tastes like lychee. I wanted to try their black Boba, but since I came early, they were still making it. I definitely will become a regular here, as I want to try many of their customized drinks. They even have creme brûlée milk tea, Nutella milk tea, and halo halo! They call their halo halo "thrilla in Manila". They're unique in their options compared to your franchise tea shop like Gong Cha and T4, but that's what makes them special. It felt a little overwhelming at first, but once you get familiar with their names, it should be a piece of pie. They are conveniently located in the Ling Nam store right across from In and Out and next to Starbucks. It's right off of the I-5 freeway, exit Tracy Blvd. the Ling Nam store sells seniorita bread (aka Spanish rolls) and they are also flavorful and cheap! 25 pcs of Spanish rolls is $10. first time coming here. the place is small and still shared with bakery store. no table only long seat so that customers can sit while waiting the order. service is just ok. i did not see any beverage list on wall, it just two paper in front of cashier. if it is first time coming and very busy, then i am not sure customers will feel comfortable. the great thing is you can order two drinks at once, they have special cups for two orders ( two in one ) and all at $6.00 but no topping yet ( extra $0.50 for topping ) i ordered pink kiwi blast ( calamansi juice, strawberry, watermelon, and kiwi ) and pina - mansi mojito ( calamansi juice and pineapple ). my daughter ordered the shaka ( black tea, calamansi juice, mango, and guava ) and buddha's delight ( black tea, calamansi juice, peach, pineapple, and mango ) so excited once we got our drinks. the pictures that i saw on google are great. then i grabbed my straws and started drinking it and feel awful. it is totally all artificial and sugar only. though different colours but taste just the same. tried my daughter's tea and just the same ~ extremely sweet and wonder is there any tea there??? do not think i want to come back here. sorry for giving one star only, i could not even figure out which taste of watermelon, strawberry, kiwi, and so on. all i feel is just sugar and sweet; that's all... read more

From the start I saw this place off of Yelp. My cousin and I are huge Bobba fans and we have went to many many boba places before. My expectations are probably a little higher than people who do not get Boba often. When we saw this place on yelp it seemed so Kawai and very very unique. Some of the Boba pictures we saw on yelp were just so beautiful and they had such good reviews. Another thing that caught my cousin's eyes were their beautifully made photo genic macaroons. As we arrive to the Establishment it was kind of hard to find the place. The business is very very small and it actually shares the same space with another business - which is a bread business. Found it kind of compact inside since it was not their own business. Especially since there are no seats or tables inside for you to sit on other than a small little bench. But when there are already two people sitting on the bench the only space you have is to sit is outside on the tables... It's not very attractive to sit outside when it's 95°. Duh, obviously. Proceeding to look at the menus was interesting because they had about 1 billion things to offer. I didn't really know what to get so I started looking on yelp and the pictures people uploaded of the drinks. I I have been getting very into lavender milk tea and I saw it on there and I wanted to see if I could sample it and apparently you cannot sample here. So I decided not to get that because some places have good lavender milk tea in a lot of places don't. So I didn't want to risk it. My cousin and I both proceeded to get the milk tea called cereal killer. It looked beautiful on the pictures so I had to! I'm not going to lie I was about to not buy anything because these prices are expensive. I decided to get the small without Boba because they charge you extra $.50 for Boba and the drink itself was already pricey as fuck. I received it, I tried it,... Was not impressed. The drink was very plain and when the cereal sits there for just 30 seconds it already becomes disgustingly soggy and it taste gross to drink. It honestly just felt like I was sucking milk and cereal into my mouth. Whatever this place was a one time try type of place. That being said, I have high expectations with boba now. Call me a boba princess if you will but Bay Area people, you'll know what I'm talking about. POP! Is located in a tiny plaza inside Star Bakery. Finding parking can be extremely frustrating especially since they neighbor In N Out. You're better of parking across the street and walking over. Their menu is extensive. There's just so many drinks on a tiny board. They do have a laminated menu by the cash register to see closer. We ordered rose milk tea, wintermelon milk tea, and what I think was calamansi drink. Nothing fancy and all with boba. Total came out to about $13. - Rose milk tea: I tasted milk more than anything else. It's comparable to a Yakult drink. - Wintermelon milk tea: My sister said the drink was gross and tasted syrupy. - Calamansi juice (Not sure what the real name is): Brothers gf liked it a lot and had no complaints. I ordered the regular milk tea and it was sweeter with added flavoring compared to other milk teas I've tried. I wasn't a big fan of it and I won't be ordering that again from there. I'll try any of their drinks that contain UBE next time I'm in the area. I was a big disappointed that my drink was warm and not cold. I discovered this place through my sis-in-law. I enjoyed the refreshing Thrilla in Manila, a "POP" Halo-Halo version which made me to crave the real Halo-Halo. Not bad at all "Thrilla in Manila" has the flavor of the real Halo-Halo refreshing flavor and the Magnolia ice cream. The only difference between that and the real Halo-Halo is the flavored jellies and corn cereal instead of the pinipig garnish and the real fruits, sweet red beans and the other stuff I'm not sure what they're called but brings in the essence of the real Halo-Halo. If you like just the flavor without experiencing the real THANG of Halo-Halo go to "POP" and get yourself a "Thrilla in Manila." I'm biased. I just have to try the other refreshing drinks and the pastries they sell in the store.. to have a comprehensive review of the place. I do love the trendy ambiance of the place.
