I was looking for the reservoir near Tracy where people go for walks, and it happens to be near Mountain House. I was then curious about the businesses in Mountain House since it's comparatively a new development, and I saw THub Cafe. Thinking it was just another boba cafe, seeing that it also has biryani made me want to visit asap. My mom was curious, too, so we drove out there after finishing our errands. We got the paneer biryani, which is considered a favorite, along with boba teas to take home. We also added samosas because why not? The biryani was pretty good! I don't know how made-to-order this is... I have a feeling it's made ahead of time, and either refrigerated or frozen, then reheated. But it's delicious nonetheless. The flavors are herbaceous and spicy. Note: if you're sensitive to spice, do not get this as even the mild version has a good kick. I also liked the texture of the paneer and the perfectly cooked rice. The samosas were fine. They're smaller than what you would normally get at a restaurant, but that didn't bother me since it came with four or five. Plus, it's a part of their snack options, so I expected them to be small. The dough was on the softer side, and the potatoes inside were fluffy and lightly seasoned. It actually helped subside the spiciness of the biryani. The boba teas were pretty good. I got a passion fruit one with 25% sugar and it was already too sweet for me. I think I'll opt for no sugar on drinks where that is customizable. The boba itself was chewy yet firm and had a subtle brown sugar flavor. Service was friendly. They made sure to check in on us regarding the biryani as that took awhile (but not like incredibly long). The space was clean with a good amount of seating. There isn't a lot of parking in the lot itself, but plenty of street parking as it's in a neighborhood. I would totally come back here if I was in the area for the biryani alone. read more

The inside of the area is very small, and can get very packed when it gets busy, usually around noon, when students are out of class, etc. I ordered one of their summer specials, Mango Delight. The drink was not the best--the sagos were very mushy (most likely due to being mixed with coconut milk, and being refrigerated for a couple of days), and the liquid itself has a very thick texture. I also ordered their Chicken Melt. The presentation is great, but the sandwich lacks flavor. The chicken came in a small size portion that did not cover the entire sandwich. Overall, this cafe does offer your go-to snacks and drinks. However, personally, the flavors were not the best for me. read more

We were waiting for our pizza order which is in the same building of Tandoori Pizza so thought of checking various other businesses in the area. We had not come across any cafe which serves booba & biryani under one roof so though of checking this place... There was a music festival in the area so this cafe was over crowded... we waited for the crowd to thin out then we entered... We could make out the cafe staff was overwhelmed so waited few more minutes to give our order. We ordered Chicken Dum Biryani for Togo. We were nearby and, as usual, craving some boba, so we decided to give this local tea spot a try--and we were pleasantly surprised! It's a charming little place with vibrant decor and a great vibe. The person who took our order was friendly and easy to work with. We ordered the Mango Matcha Latte and Lychee Green Tea with Honey Boba. I went with regular sugar for the mango matcha latte, but it ended up being a bit too sweet for me. I'll probably adjust the sweetness next time. The lychee green tea was light, fresh, and very refreshing. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm excited to try more of their offerings. Updating my review. I have been to this place many times in last three years. My go to place boba tea and ABC juice.

Thub Cafe is located in the Cordes Village Plaza. This was a small plaza that is part of the neighborhood with a decent amount of parking. It is a newer and more modern looking plaza, and the interior was bright, clean, and modern as well. The employees were friendly and quick. I wanted a green milk tea, but i did not see it on the menu - I asked them and one of the employee said they had it and made it for me. The green milk tea was pretty creamy and had a good sweetness to it, not much of a tea taste. It diluted pretty quickly, so it tasted watered down for the most part. The boba was a bit too chewy/soft, but overall it was decent for the area. read more

I usually love taro milk tea, but the one I got at Thub was honestly one of the worst I've had. It was super watery, had barely any flavor, and just tasted cheap. What made it worse is how pricey it was for the amount they charge, I expected way better quality. Totally not worth it. Definitely won't be coming back or recommending this place to anyone. read more

Grand opening was Thursday February 10th, 2022. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Oreo shake I had. Yum! Too early to tell, but I'm suspecting this will be a popular spot for awhile since it's the only game in Mountain House. Literally the only boba tea place in a town now just opening up commercial spaces. If they can figure out a way to control the lines and line cutters (there are many who just walk up and cut), it will be Golden. I stopped by with my little brother after picking him up from school. This was my first mistake because this boba place is located right next to Mountain House high school. The store was packed with students, but we wanted to give this place a chance. So we waited in line for about 15 minutes before we reached the register and the check-out was simple. But then we had to wait nearly 25 minutes for a Thai milk tea with boba. The proportion of boba to drink was off because we finished the boba before half of the drink was gone. This sucks because the boba texture and taste itself ended up being the best part. The drink itself was watered down and barely had any tea taste. The wait time is kind of justifiable because of the students just getting out of school, even though we only got one drink...but if you're going to make us wait, at least make sure it tastes good. The drive here was not worth it and I don't think we'll be returning. There are much better boba places nearby in Tracy. read more

I ordered a matcha and unfortunately it did not taste like matcha. There wasn't enough matcha and it tasted like milk. With the color of the drink you can hardly tell there's matcha. I tried to bring it back and ask the employees if they can switch my drink with another or remake it because I wasn't satisfied with how it didn't taste like what I ordered, a matcha latte. The employees failed to complete the request saying they weren't able to do anything about the drink. Overall, not a pleasant experience and will not be returning. I understand drinks can be made with mistakes but inability to want to make a better drink to please customers is a business that should reconsider their policies. read more

This was a really nifty spot right behind MHHS, with a lot of cool menu options to look at. While waiting in line I saw many different knickknacks and items that they were selling, all very much boba-related (Classic to new flavors). The store was quite busy but it moved quickly. They're flimsy and become difficult to use within minutes of using them. I hope they consider replacing and using regular plastic straws flavor: 4/5 I ordered the lychee green tea and it tasted just like any lychee green tea I order from a variety of boba shops. a weekly regular customer. I get an oreo milkshake, a red valvet cake, and a milk tea for myself. I get the oreo milk shake in a spicific mid-size cup and pay the full price since they dont have a smaller size for kids. My son finishes the shake when it's in the smaller cup, but the regular cup gets too big for him. I have never had any issue with that and whenever i asked them the cashier's got it done with no complaints but today there was a new person that i had never seen before and she denied making the drink and when i asked why? The reply was that the owners have told us not to use that cup for this drink. So i left and not returning again. Did not like the service today. read more

Super happy that there's a boba/snack spot in Mountain House now! Been here twice already. I would definitely recommend trying to avoid the after school rush if you can (otherwise, it is at least a 30 minute wait. However, the staff handles it pretty well). Curly fries (5/5) - crispy and awesome flavor! Pleasantly surprised. Popcorn chicken (5/5) - not the typical Taiwanese style popcorn chicken. They're breaded with Panko and super crispy. I really enjoyed the taste! Vegetable puff (4/5) - fluffy and crispy pastry with veggie filling. Also really tasty! However, it would be cool if they could manage to offer warming them up a bit before giving them out (but still really good as is!). Egg pastry puff (3/5) - can't say no to anything with eggs. It's a hardboiled egg on a bed of onion spread in a puff pastry. Honestly the filling was tasty for me, but there was a lot of pastry puff to get through before hitting egg. Also could use some warming up. Original milk tea with boba (5/5) - I usually test out boba places with the basic milk tea. Again, pleasantly surprised! T-Hub is actually surprisingly good. The boba is rated among the best - on par with the best of the best Sweetheart Cafe like back in 2000. Drink menu may be somewhat limited but I prefer this way, less confusion. App works although the lay out is a bit confusing like morning/weekend menu but you get use to it. The staff is attentive and polite. Now, parents - be proud if your kids work here because the crowd can be a little wild after all mostly HS students but they do make me feel young as if I still had my hair like.....back in 2000. read more

I haven't ordered in person. I ordered ahead online (and you should too) and my order was ready quite quickly, but I also think I ordered before the school rush. We ordered: Thai tea with honey boba 5/5 - I ordered 25% sweetness and honestly this place got the sweetness JUST RIGHT. Usually when I order 25%, it's either unsweet or it's forgotten. The boba is fresh and sweet and I thoroughly enjoyed mine. Mango slush is with honey boba 5/5 -- boba is fresh! Mango is refreshing and not too sweet. Hubs enjoyed this. Popcorn chicken 4/5 -- SO CRUNCHY! So flavorful. I enjoyed their chicken, unfortunately I picked up my order 20 mins later than the pick up time and the chicken was cold (which is ok, that's my fault) BUT it was so crunchy!!! I'm a person who needs dipping sauce and I enjoyed these alone with no sauce. I will definitely order again. From what it looks like, they are still busy and have many customers, so I really recommend ordering online and then picking it up. They place it on a shelf for east pick up. I have been here twice and each time the wait was very long. But because they are new I guess it was expected. The most recent time I ordered online hoping that it would cut the wait time down. But when I got to the store at the expected pick up time, my order was not ready. I decided to wait outside for my order status to change but after some time it still showed in process so I went inside to check, my order was sitting there and the website never updated that my order was ready. The drink I got was nothing different from other boba places. The popcorn chicken I ordered was cold when I got it. 2 days later I got the notification that my order was ready for pick up. Went on their opening day, the line was long with all the high schoolers ( downfall of being near the high school) . The drinks took awhile to get but the snacks were quick. The classic milk tea was good not bad. I got popcorn chicken and curly fries. The chicken is not the typical chicken you get at a boba shop, it reminds me of a popcorn chicken you get at Popeyes or an American fast food so I was a slightly disappointed on that aspect.
