I was driving down the 205 Freeway on my way to Stockton when I exited Tracy Blvd to get some eats! I saw the In and Out Burger sign and headed there, turning left next to a strip plaza to the right. I ended up parking right in front of Pop! Curious, I stepped in and was immediately greeted by an enthusiastic young woman with a huge smile! At ease, I ordered Starbread and Coconut boba. She immediately said "Sure and I'll throw in something extra!" I received my order promptly and started chowing down on starbread and washing it down with Coconut Boba! Starbread is a Daly City staple and I was so surprised to find it available in Tracy! And when I looked in the starbread box, I saw they included 6 extra pieces! Wow! Happened to be in the area, we decided to try this boba tea. It's a share business between pop and Starbread. Most customers came in for Starbread, there was no line at Pop counter. We ordered Thai tea with crystal boba, regular milk tea with crystal boba (this is not on menu, just ask for it) and thrilla in Manila (with crystal boba, coffee jelly, lychee jelly, ube ice cream and coconut ice cream). All drinks can adjust sugar level, just the thrilla in Manila and few more special drinks they can't adjust. Thai tea and regular milk tea were good. The Thrilla in Manila was too sweet, even we added lots of ice, but it was still so sweet. Although, the drink was great, ice cream was to die for. Wish they can adjust sugar level for this drink. If you like sweet drink, give this a try. Will come back again to try their other special drinks. Oh one thing, they don't have table and seats available inside. Yum! I had their Halo Halo and it was so good I don't really like too much red bean and their version doesn't include it so I enjoyed it without having to avoid the red bean. The place is also shared with Starbread and Lingnam so sometimes ordering and picking up can take a while. Luckily, Pop allows you to order through Yelp. I went to POP to cater a graduation party and I can't say enough about how great they were. But first, I have to mention that it was incredibly difficult to get a hold of someone initially. The listed phone number on Yelp didn't work, they didn't reply to my Instagram message, their Facebook isn't updated, there was no email address or other contact info, and when I finally resorted to physically going into the store to inquire about catering (when I don't even live in town), I was given two phone numbers. Neither person ever returned my calls/messages and when I did finally hear from someone, it was from a third number/person who was told by the second person that I was interested in catering. It had been about two weeks until I was contacted, and I had just about given up and started to look for boba catering elsewhere. Although that was kind of a pain, everything else was terrific. Ordering was easy and the price was very reasonable. I worked with Jamie throughout the entire process and she was very communicative. I had some random questions here and there about what they provided so that I could figure out decor and whatever else, and she always answered them timely and was easy to get a hold of. I decided to pick up my order instead of having it delivered, and everything was super easy and conveniently packed. I got three flavors of tea and three toppings, and they provided an ample supply of cups, straws, lids, and flyers. The boba bar was a hit and everyone loved it. It definitely helped make our party perfect. Jamie even contacted me the next day to make sure everything went well at our party. I would definitely recommend POP for boba catering. This little shop shares space with Starbread Bakery so it shows up a little wonky on maps. It's situated in a small strip mall right across from a bustling In n Out but parking wasn't too bad. Once you step inside it's a cozy and warm space, with a unique menu and fun offerings that you don't see at some other more "traditional" milk tea spots. I got their Taro Can you Go without the coconut jelly. This is typically my gauge for a new spot I'm trying out. The texture was pretty good and it wasn't too sweet either but it was sort of bland. Traditional taro milk teas tend to have a bit of texture too which I'm fine with but the inconsistency of the texture suggests it wasn't mixed well. It was a decent price though and I finished it easily. Overall it was not great, not bad, just okay. The employee was very nice and courteous and I did not have to wait long for my order. Their flavors are superb and they really stuck to their roots of being a filipino owned establishment. My new favorite boba place. It not only has boba, it also has Star Bread in the same store front. Señorita bread is soooooo good! I can't remember the name of my milk tea but it tasted like a Hi-Chew. I got it with boba but the guy at the counter said a lot of people get the mango stars with it. I usually get Thai tea with boba and really wanted to venture out but I don't know a lot about the other flavors. He was phenomenal and helped me figure out a new drink to try and even let me taste the mango stars. They were so good, even my son liked them and he is anti-boba and tea if any kind! Watery coconut milk with lychee jelly was their #1 listed item on the blue list. It was cold and drinkable. Set your expectations low and you'll be fine. Mango raspberry lemon was their #1 listed juice. Really artificial tasting and overly sweet. If they carbonated it, it would make a decent Italian soda. Juice is kind of misleading. They were out of calamansi juice and blueberry toppings. Props to them for having a variety. I was curious about the connected bakery, but after watching the flies and mold behind the glass display case I was no longer interested. We love POP!! They are extremely unique compared to your other run-of-the-mill boba shops. They have an awesome drink selection and everything is really good. Whenever we come in Isiah greets us with a smile and a "sup" because we see him so much he's like a homie. The store and vibe is a clean and chill. My fave is the black & tan because I love me some milk tea. My hubby orders the original Thrilla in Manilla (1.0) which is delicious. My oldest daughter loves the mango milk tea and the little one will drink it all! Haha Michelle, the owner is awesome. Came here as a pitstop on the way to Manteca. It was very hot so the drink was amazingly refreshing! I got a split cup of the fruity cereal and thai tea w/ ice cream. I finished the thai tea before getting into the car. I love that theres so much delicious and fun items on the menu that you can't get in San Jose! The different variety made it stand out and is on my list for top boba spots. The worker was super nice and patient with me when I asked a bunch of questions. At first, I was hesitant about this place. I was thinking to myself, "oh gosh another lame hit or miss boba shop." The best Central Valley has gotten recently was T4. After moving to the bay, I've tried many great boba shops that the Central Valley doesn't have and I expected a lot from this new shop. However, after trying I actually loved it! It was $8 something for a split cup though which I guess makes sense. I ordered the Cereal Killer. Oh my gosh. Fruity pebble milk tea has changed my life. I looooove fruity pebble, I was nervous but excited to try it. My boyfriend doesn't really like cereal but he enjoyed the drink. I also ordered the Cookie Monster which was a brown sugar milk tea with Oreos. I usually love and get Oreo milk teas at other boba shops, and I hate to say it, but Pop's Cookie Monster was probably the best Oreo milk tea I've ever had. I'm eager to try their other drinks. As I was reading the menu, the combinations sounded so good together. Gave a minus 1 star for the service. Friendly, but it could be better and more welcoming. Update: I'm still in love with the Cereal Killer. I was also able to taste the Butterfly Kiss and the Buddha. I really enjoyed those two as well. We were in the vicinity and being the boba connoisseur that I am had to hop in to try Pop. I'm a huge NBA fan so when I think of "Pop" I thought of NBA coach Greg Popovich...but this place has nothing to do with the NBA and shares spaces with Starbread (filipino sweet bread). When I saw the menu I could tell it was not a traditional boba spot but I asked if they had a regular milk tea. The super friendly workers told me it wasn't listed on the menu but they could make it for me. So for the regular milk-tea I have it as a 6 for taste and 4 for boba. The taste was average but I bumped them up to a 6. The boba was definitely a tick below average which is why I have them at a 4. I was hopeful that with the high star rating they would be turning over the boba a little bit faster than other venues but I think a caught a batch of boba that had been sitting for awhile opposed to a fresh batch (which happens). So for regular milk tea would I recommend this place? No..probably not but....and this a big BUT. The fruit drinks are pretty darn good! I also tried the #28 Pink Kiwi Blast- Calamansi Juice with Strawberry, watermelon and Kiwi. This drink was pretty darn good and would order again. I was dying to come here, and I'm so glad I did! I saw Pop on Yelp, and I had to try it. It is located in the Starbread bakery, so when you enter, the bakery register is to the left and the drink counter is to the right. Honestly, it was hard to pick a drink from the menu because almost everything sounded delicious, but I went with the butterfly lover. Yes, it is as good as it looks. It has calamansi juice, pineapple juice, tea, and strawberry heart jellies. So refreshing and yummy!
