It made me more nervous about shipping our Tesla especially since we weren't on mainland anymore. I contacted Coastal Auto Shipping after reading multiple reviews and thumbing through many different shippers profiles. Richard was so helpful, he asked a few questions via text and then helped me finish up by giving me a call. He answered quickly and I was never unable to reach him. There is a small time difference because we are on island time but that was never an issue and he was there for the entire process which made me feel better as well. My parents had our Tesla in Arizona and it was picked up from their house. They said the driver was helpful, quick and efficient. So easy! I was actually jealous that they had it so easy because when we dropped our Jeep off we were picking small hairs one by one out of a 2012 Jeep Jk just to drop it off. While it was free through the military, I will NEVER go through them again. We will be shipping our cars back through Coastal Auto Shipping. Our car got here in record time and faster than we expected which was a great surprise because sharing one car wasn't hard but wasn't all that convenient either. We got an email it had arrived, our name wasn't connected to the car so we talked to Richard and then were quickly back on track to grab our car. We were in and out faster than you could name the 7 dwarfs! If I could give them more stars I'd absolutely do it! We will be back in a few years to do this the other direction for both our cars, it wasn't overpriced and we were overall extremely happy with our service from start to finish!! 11/24 update We decided to go with JNR after all after…read moreEugene explained the mix up. He was very accommodating & easy to work with. Made a huge difference in our decision making. The local CA company they used (I believe it was Pioneer) was amazing. They missed 2 tiny drawers but I was able to pack it in my suitcase. I'd highly recommend the CA moving company. Once our household items arrived in HI (it took just under 6 weeks from the time they finished in CA & it was moved into storage in HI) we were contacted to see if we wanted to watch our items being stored. We agreed. Chris was there to meet us (very nice & helpful. Walked us through it) & it seemed to go smoothly. He left half way & the unloaders slowed down. 1 quick phone call & it was back on track. We are pleased with the storage facilities. Secure & temperature controlled. The only hiccup worth mentioning is the 1 of the unloaders was on his phone 98% of the time. Even while pushing the carts he had his phone up to his face. He was young lol. We did have to mention that some of the boxes that said "this side up" meant they needed to store it a certain way. Overall I'd recommend working with Eugene & Chris.

I will say, I was able to reach someone every time I called for an update or had a question, and the woman I spoke with was extremely nice and had great customer service. I don't know if this is a problem with the delivery company or with Hawaii Car Transport but we were told someone would call to schedule the drop off. I got a call in the morning when the driver was outside of my house! Luckily, I took a sick day and was able to get it. But if I was at the office, I don't know what would've happened. Overall, my family and I wanted to support a local business and we understand that it is a long process shipping a car from Hawaii to the Mainland so expect delays! We paid the amount we were quoted for, no hidden fees/overcharging, car came in great condition, a little dusty, but that's to be expected.

The day before pickup, I called and they confirmed they'd be there at 9am to pick up the vehicle. By 2pm that day, I called and the lady said, "it appears this order was forgotten and no one is scheduled to pick up your vehicle. We can pick it up next week." My flight was 6am the next morning.. When I explained this, she said there was nothing they could do. I had to scramble, find another company, and ask a friend to hold the vehicle for me until it could be picked up. . . Seriously. WTF? About five minutes later, I was escorted to the lot to pick up my vehicle. No joke, I was out of there in under 10 minutes total. Google Maps directions were straightforward and easy to follow, there's really no way to get lost. My car was spotless and clearly well taken care of during transport. They even provided a free car wash coupon and give you 30 days to register your vehicle. Overall, an extremely smooth and efficient experience. Highly recommend.

They used different materials from those negative photo reviews. Worldwide Moving & Storage packed me out in August. I just got my shipment delivered. There was NO damage! You hear all these horror stories about moves, but to my understanding, things do happen. I did mentally prepare myself that some things might get damaged a little since it's going over seas. But I was shocked! My overall experience was wonderful. It all started with the office ladies, everyone I spoke to was so friendly and helpful. I had so many questions since this was my first over sea move. I was very nervous and anxious. The crew members that packed me out were very patient and understanding with my demands. I had to apologize to them and explained how nervous I was. They made me laugh and feel comfortable. They took care of all my big fragile items (like my glass tv stand shelf) and used cardboard plus the brown paper to give it extra protection. They disassembled my bigger furniture and wrapped everything in that brown paper and for my smaller items they wrapped them in a white paper and placed them in boxes. Everything was labeled by room and made it so easy for me when it got delivered. The office even gave me a courtesy call the day before just reminding me about my move and gave me an ETA. I wish I could give them negative stars…read more I moved from Honolulu to San Diego with this company, and the experience was terrible. My Samsung 55" TV and computer monitor arrived completely shattered. Ten smaller boxes of my china collection were missing, and the pieces that did arrive were broken. These were high-value items, and I was never compensated because the movers failed to put stickers on the boxes -- which honestly felt negligent at best, and intentional at worst. On top of that, around 15 boxes either never arrived or showed up heavily damaged. I communicated with both Hawaiian Movers and the local company, and neither showed any sympathy or sense of responsibility. Their response was cold and dismissive: just "go talk to the insurance company." This happened about two years ago, and I am only writing this review now because I was recently going through my china collection while preparing for an event, and it brought everything back. It still makes me angry and sad. Please be extremely careful if you use this company. Make sure the movers put stickers on every single item and box. In my case, they did not label many of my items, and that became the reason I could not get compensated. Worst of the worst. Do not use them.
