I hate leaving negative reviews but people really do need a WARNING dealing with this company. My vehicle arrived completely damaged. When I submitted a claim they GASLIT ME and told me basically I dropped my car off damaged. Luckily. I just had a vehicle inspection the week before and had to register my car. Which would not have passed with a broken side mirror. They made me sign off upon drop off but failed to tell me I was signing basically saying no damages were caused. That back fired. Anyway, I had to submit a dispute through my bank and surprise surprise they suddenly wanted to settle. But I had to sign a release form which was weird and I didn't feel comfortable signing since they weren't honest to begin with. Chase ended up giving me a full refund of $2740.00 so I can get my car fixed THANK GOD. This company is shady and does not operate in good faith do NOT give them your car or sign anything without looking at ANY damages. You guys gaslit the wrong customer and hopefully learned your lesson. Just gross.

Repeatedly trying.

Ask the Community - Hawaii Car Transport

Anyone ever received an update status with two different carriers and dates? We shipped our vehicle on the 1st, it had 21st as estimated del date. then it updated to the 22nd, then 23rd, then to 27th and this time with a different carrier.

Yes. They create their own schedules which are not synced with the actual carriers. It took me 5 weeks to get my car.

Were you able to pack ANYTHING in the car??? Just looking to pack a crib in the trunk

I agree with the above people. Their customer service is awful. Their easy to contact by phone and email, until you pay and once that happens they never answer there phone or email or even reply back. I tried to make a point one time and was on hold…

They took care of of all the leg work and worked with me to align on a solid price that meet both our needs. I was assigned an individual rep that helped me through the process, assisted in assigning a secondary drop off driver in Honolulu and kept me updated throughout the process. They are responsive and even have an after hours line for times when things come up outside business hours. Very satisfied and highly recommend for anyone, especially those shipping from Hawaii to mainland.

I chose them even though they were not the cheapest because of their reviews and because I expected them to handle everything professionally. Jorge Perez was initially helpful and told me to drop the car off by July 24th. I specifically told him I needed the car in Utah by August 21st for my son starting college. I was assured everything would be taken care of. August 21 came and went -- NO CAR. I called every day trying to get answers. Jorge eventually stopped returning my calls, and I had to explain the same situation over and over to different people. Then I was told my car had been sitting in a lot and that I could be charged a storage fee because it arrived early. The car was sitting there because they hadn't arranged the transportation, yet I was potentially being charged for it. A WEEK LATER, they finally found another transport company. I had to call that company myself and explain the situation just to get my own car moving. And here's another major issue: Coast advertises door-to-door service, but they did NOT provide door-to-door service. Because of their transportation arrangements, my son now has to drive several miles from his home to meet the transporter and pick up the car. That's not the door-to-door service I paid for or expected. I paid Coast Auto Shipping to make this process easy. Instead, I ended up doing their job, chasing down my own shipment, and dealing with problems they should have handled. If you're shipping a car from Hawaii to the mainland, SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE. In hindsight, I should have booked Matson myself and hired my own mainland transport company. They had my money, but getting my car where it was supposed to go apparently wasn't their priority. Would NEVER use Coast Auto Shipping again

They explained everything beforehand, arranged door to door pickup, and the driver was really helpful during the car inspection. The tracking was great, and the car arrived at my buy's place in a couple of days, no issues at all! So much less stressful than I anticipated and it was actually affordable. Really took a big amount of weight off my mind! Thank you!

He reached back out to me on 4/23/24 and asked if I wanted to proceed and I said yes. We were about to schedule and I was going to pay 50% down and he asked to email him the breakdown and I did that in a timely manner. Alex then calls me and says his quote went from $3650 to $8K and that he said that quote was for shipping my car. I never asked about a quote about a car as I already shipped my car to the mainland. First of all the $3650 to ship from Oahu to Seattle is diabolical for starters but to gaslight me and say he thought we were speaking about my car is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. My items have to be shipped by 4/25/24 and now I am back to the drawing board. He told me to get rid of a few of my boxes to lower the rate. Alex is not a honest person and I reached out to him today via email to tell him how disappointed I was with the bait and switch and he said I thought you were talking about shipping your car so I screen shot our conversations via text and email. After the email was sent, Alex decided to call me to argue about his screw up and I didn't answer. I am already stressed out with getting my items moved and he wasn't calling to honor the original price quoted but to argue his point which it is invalid.
