    So refreshing!

Derek from the Providence team was amazing and very patient with me as a new pool owner. Even when I did stupid stuff like drain my pool or add 5 gallons of the wrong chemical he was there to correct my mistakes. He made several trips to check on my pool and be sure it was crystal clear before calling the job done. He also gave me the information I needed to keep my pool looking good through the summer. Would definitely recommend Pool Pals.

    Thanks Justin!

I was out of town a month ago before a huuuuggeeee family reunion where our backyard (to include pool) would be the main congregating area. My wife called me in a panic the day before the big event while I was boarding my plane in The Netherlands, to tell me there was a big problem. Our pool had turned a weird shade of green and there seemed to be some sort of substance (later diagnosed as algae) on the inner walls of our grand in-ground pool. My last words before the pilot of the airplane directed everyone to turn their cell phones off was to call Pool Pals. Once I landed back in Boston, I immediately called my wife and she told me everything. She had called Pool Pals in a panic, but immediately calmed down when Justin answered the phone. His soothing voice reassured her that everything was going to be ok. No less than 53 minutes later, Justin came to our residence and immediately diagnosed the issue. He had told my wife he just left a training seminar (who knows why this guy needs training) his company was hosting, so he could get our pool up and running. First, he diligently vacuumed our entire pool. Then, he shocked the pool with 20 gallons of liquid shock, not the granular or powdered form. Then he meticulously brushed our entire pool. My wife even said at one point he pulled out a small tooth brush to get into the hard to reach corners, while playful joking that it wasn't his personal one. Justin saved our reunion and for that we will always be thankful. That day we signed up for their maintenance plan, so we don't have to deal with that pesky algae again. Thanks to Justin and the whole Pool Pals team for taking care of my family. Next family reunion, you will all be getting an invite because you are all truly part of my family now.

Took my materials that I paid for over 17,000 to so call buy what was needed to remodel my cement pool. Broke into my shed, didn't wait to have me open it with a key, and left his so called laborers on my property, which most of the time were on their phones ... never communicated with me ... I went outside numerous times during the couple of hours they were there, and Jon never returned or touched base with me before taking all of the materials that were mine and paid for and became quite verbal and unprofessional through texts messages, instead of being a true businessman by responding by phone not texts. I've filed a complaint with the BBB and the AG s office for fraud and theft of deception which is a criminal offense. Don't be taken advantage of, Jon stole a lot of my retirement money and life insurance money I received due to the unexpected death of my husband ... disgraceful.... hopefully Karma bites you in the ass pal.

He came out for a quote and seemed professional at first. But on installation day, I was surprised to learn he had subcontracted the job to someone else, a contractor who was rude, unprofessional, and canceled because of light morning rain, even though the forecast cleared up by 9 a.m. Mark agreed with their decision and told me to call someone named Carlos, who could "get me in ASAP." I was confused why was I calling anyone else when I had hired him to do the job? We took time out of work to be home and based on the forecast for that day I found it ridiculous! I get if there is going to be chances of heavy rain then obviously a pool install should be cancelled but it was literally dry the ENTIRE DAY after 9 am and the ground was hardly wet where I live! When I questioned it, Mark told me he doesn't make money on the installs and just passes the work off to other contractors. He said he had "no time for me." I was never told the job would be subcontracted, even though the permit was pulled under his company's name. In the end, I can't recommend him due to the lack of honesty and professionalism. Fortunately, the second crew (despite bad reviews) showed up as promised, worked through the extreme heat, and did a great job!

Although it seems like a lot of money, I understand the reasons behind collecting a deposit (customers unexpectedly cancelling appointments, technician time to travel and diagnose issues, etc.). I paid the deposit and we confirmed the next available appointment was 3/20/25. On 3/14/25 I got an email (no phone call) telling me "Due to unforeseen circumstances we will not be able to complete your spa service on 3/20/25. Instead, we will be there 3/25/25". I was so frustrated and disappointed they had picked a new date without discussing it with me and that it was 5 days later. I discussed the issue with the service department, they apologized and said that was the earliest date. There was nothing more they could do. On 3/25/25, the day of my appointment, I get a voice message that said they needed to cancel the appointment and reschedule for 3/26/25. Because I have a fenced in yard with dogs I took the day off of work to be here. I'm beyond frustrated with NE Spas. Conveniently they took my money in less than 24hours but they have no problem rescheduling my appointments for 16 days. By the way their policy is no monetary refunds just store credit. So that's not even an option. I feel trapped because they have my money and left me no other option but to accept their dates.
