I had Dan and his team dig a full perimeter french drain in my basement, with a sump pump in the…read morecorner. They were on time and worked hard. However, the french drain and sump pump he installed in my basement was not done properly, and thus is not functioning properly. The sump pit was not placed low enough, and when water rises in the lowest spot in the house it does not flow through the drain and into the pit, where it can be pumped out by the sump pump. Numerous calls and texts, with offers to work me into his schedule, and almost two months later I'm still left with pooling water that can't reach the sump pump because the pit was placed higher than the lowest point in the house. Additionally, Dan cut through the top of the sump pit cover, leaving me with an exposed pit in my basement, which is not normal, illegal in some states, and contrary to recommendations from the American Society of Home Inspectors. When I protested the lack of a sealed sump pit, Dan proceeded to tape garbage bags across the top to create a moisture barrier. This happened because I had asked about adding a third, more powerful sump pump to the regular pump and the battery back up. The pit Dan used only had two knock out holes for piping, so instead of advising me of this, he cut the top open to fit piping for the third pump. Had he advised me properly, I would have opted for two pumps, so we could use the lid as it was designed, and seal it properly. Overall it was a fine experience while they were working here, but a combination of bad advice, no advice, and poor installation have left me with pooling water at what remains the lowest spot in my house, a dry french drain, and an empty but exposed sump pit.

I sent out a request to about 8 roofing companies and most of them told me they would get back to me Monday after the holiday. Not Morrissey Family Roofing. Talking with Gary, the owner, he sent someone right away to cover the roof as it was going to rain again soon. I was so relieved! I decided to get the entire roof done and Gary gave me an extremely reasonable price. It looks amazing! I am so happy that I went with them. He even came by the next day to inspect the grounds. Super professional super nice guy. I couldn't be happier that I went with Morrissey family Roofing. I think they do siding, doors and windows too. Highly recommend!

I have nothing but great things to say about WRC Roofing (Will and his team). They were responsive…read moreand quick to act. I had an emergency roof situation where a huge tornado-like window caused my over 100lb chimney cap to blow off. Unfortunately for me, I live in a rowhouse in Boston where I literally do not have any roof access at all, let alone the reach to adjust and fix a chimney cap that is an extra 30 feet high away from the nearest sky light. I could see the damage but I certainly couldn't reach it. And to be clear, this is not the type of roof that is eagerly serviced by many due to the height, difficult access and complexity. I emailed out to 15 different yelp roofers, of the few that responded with an ability to service (or at least look), only WRC roofing was understanding of the situation and agreed to act as quickly as possible. Even though it happened mid-afternoon and they were far away, they were willing to come asap and arrived within the hour to assess the situation. We discussed and agreed on an action plan. Will really took the time to explain everything and truly look at the issue without being dismissive or patronizing. He is friendly and super approachable and the consummate professional. His and his wife's entire calm and patient demeanor put me at ease that they both knew what they were doing and were empathetic to our panic at the entire situation. Due to insurance reasons, I could only hire him initially for emergency services to quickly patch and prevent more harm/damage while the insurance adjuster was being assigned to my claim and performed their assessment. He went to prepare right away, we got a quote pretty quickly and accepted his help. The weather kept him from actually doing any work that same day (started raining and lightning) so he offered to comeback the next day to fix the issue. He arrived on time with all his equipment. He was respectful of the entire property he was in and working on. He talk through all the safety precautions he would take without any hesitation when I asked him, demonstrating his experience and knowledge of these types of roofs (think steep slope and slippery slate). The patch repairs looked clean and presentable even though it was just meant to be temporary. I thought they charged a fair price/hour for the emergency service as well as for the transport. I never felt bullied, pushed over, or upsold on anything. He gave us copies of his workman's comp and insurance prior to starting. He communicated so well throughout the ENTIRE experience. His team was quick to provide contracts and invoices. He took lots of pictures throughout his work and sent them to me afterwards. He even went above and beyond his responsibilities because while he was up there, helped me get rid of a piece of slate in my gutter I just happened to mention off hand that was bothering me when we assess the roof. He just offered and did it! As for the actual repair, he fixed some areas of broken slate shingles, put a nice new metal cap on top of the (out of use) chimney, and installed a brand new copper gutter for me. The metal cap was secured fully with bolts and it looked extremely neat and tidy. He took plenty of before and after photographs for me so I could see the progress and the changes. This was important to me so that I could follow along. Along that line, his communication was just superb. He was immensely polite and professional. He made sure to notify me when he was on the way and also at the end of the day when he was done. He updated me frequently on progress and next steps and he listened to my concerns and we had a discussion about the roof repair instead of him just doing whatever he wanted. My only critique was that overall, it took him longer than he originally stated. However, he did a fantastic job and everything looked really nicely done. I am extremely happy with the outcome. I wholeheartedly recommend him to others and would be thrilled to see his business grow.

We had big problems with our home improvement project with Todd Regine and his company Edge…read moreServices. He was recommended by close family, seemed to be an honest and nice guy with a track record of home improvement. The project was a remodel of a master bathroom. It involved demo of the existing one, moving and installing a new custom shower, tile work, moving a window, painting, installing a vanity etc. The demo went well and then it was slowly downhill from there. The shower floor-plan Todd designed did not allow for a traditionally mounted glass door. There was a window to move to make room for the shower and it was not moved to the right place and we were not told until after it was done. The bench in the shower is not square or level and the tile job has broken tiles. The tile floor was not installed properly and over 50% of it has uneven spots, loose tile and broken grout. The paint is not even and showed color variances on edges, the vanity lights are not centered and uneven. There is more but I won't continue as this is too much already. Yes- this is a lot to mention. Todd did not want to accept responsibility for his work and make it right and complete the job. Instead he kept saying we walked on the bathroom floor and its our fault while never addressing all of the other poor work or finishing the job. The communications to discuss fixing the work broke down and at this point because of how his contract reads we have paid for 90% of the project but will now have to hire outside professionals to fix and finish the job.
