These guys did a great rehab on my 35 year old pool - replaced & upgraded the equipment, replastered the surface - all in time for swimming! I've put them in charge of our weekly & seasonal maintenance from now on. Friendly, prompt and they know their business. Just waiting to get through the whole season to give them five stars. read more

Justin from Lucky Duck Pools did an outstanding job, and I couldn't be happier with the service. He showed up on time, was very courteous, and clearly knew his stuff. It was obvious right away that he takes his work seriously and has a lot of experience. He didn't just do the basics--he made sure everything was in top shape and took the extra time to point out a few things I should keep an eye on. I really appreciated how thorough and detail-oriented he was, as well as how easy he was to talk to. It's refreshing to have someone reliable and professional taking care of my pool. I highly recommend Justin and Lucky Duck Pools if you want quality service you can trust! read more

I've used this company for both opening and closing my above-ground pool, but after this year's closing I discovered a major issue: the water started draining out under the cover until only about six inches remain. My pool has never had a leaking problem until after they serviced it. I reached out to the owner hoping to resolve the situation, but instead of listening to my concerns, he told me to refill the entire pool "to see if it drains again." I explained that I didn't want to waste money refilling thousands of gallons of water just to watch it leak out, and his response was, "it doesn't cost that much. You live in Barrington, not East Providence," implying that I should just be able to afford the cost. It was condescending, rude, and completely unprofessional. I also explained, as a business owner in the trades myself, that I understand callbacks can be frustrating, but we just needed help resolving the problem. Instead of working with us, he told me he would charge a service fee--despite the fact that the issue only began after they closed the pool. The owner took zero accountability and dismissed everything I said. The lack of customer service, respect, and responsibility is extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable or professional pool services. read more

I Would give them no stars if I could Please don't bother going in there unless you want to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to purchase a pool, or have one opened or closed. In other words if you're not there to spend a ton of money they don't care! They already made money from me I have been in sales and customer service for 38 years and would never treat customers of the way I have been treated! For the past six weeks I have been nothing but patient and kind to them while looking for a remedy to fix my pool The big guy I dealt with today was extremely rude!! He had an attitude from the minute I walked to the store, accused me of berating the new young kid that worked there. He didn't have the decency to look me in the eye when talking to me! I purchased my Pool from them four years ago. I need parts for it and I've been told repeatedly for 6 weeks they are in a storage room, but they don't have time to go look for them, that I should just BUY a new pool!! Then he had the audacity to accuse me of not closing it up properly, and it was my fault that it was broken!! I have been closing my own pool for 24 years. We had a horrible storm with hurricane winds that blew the rails off. Do not patronize this store!! Buy your chemicals at job lot & drive to the pool source in Warwick to have your water tested if necessary. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS STORE. read more

I had a Hot tub that was dripping from the seal on the pipe, (when used ). No Rush, but it jeopardized the sale of my home. We were up against the deadline of inspection. Anthony, at Lucky Duck was on it from the start of Friday afternoon, and we communicated with pictures. It was fixed by noon on Monday ! Very satisfied, Bobby came out and fixed, cleaned, and double checked the work, with a lot of re-assurance along the way On Christmas Eve, Eve, no less ! Very responsive, and transparent. read more

Unprofessional, In 2020 we purchased our pool from Luck Duck. We were very happy with how everything turned out. In 2021 We paid to have our pool opened for the first time and we received terrible service. No one showed up the first time, no phone call or anything to let us know nobody was showing up. The team showed up the following week , they removed the pool cover and connected the pump and filter, both hoses were routed poorly and leaked out a good amount of water, no salt was dropped off either. I was charged an absurd amount of money for a half ass service. John seemed understanding of the situation and promised us a full refund in the mail. No refund was ever received. I would never do business with these guys again. read more

We have a pool company but wanted to get our pool clear as fast as possible. I ran into Lucky Duck with a water sample and they were so friendly and helpful. They gave me the chemicals I needed and the pool cleared right up. They even loaded them into my car for me. This place was great and if I ever need quick chemicals again, I'll be back!! read more

They did a terrible job opening my pool. I'll be spending my summer pulling all the leaves they just let dump in when they tore off the winter cover. I can't believe I paid $500 for it. Now I know why they didn't bill me but insisted I pay with credit card before they left. read more

Pools are a waste of money, you're literally spending hard earned cash on a huge science experiment, but if you're gonna use your money on it, 100% give it to these guys. If you're like me and had a dream of one day owning a home with a pool and it came true, than you know that it sucks. Cleaning it sucks especially if that home comes with 2 huge maple trees who drop their leaves all day into your science experiment. We'll have no fear because the guys at lucky duck are amazing. I tried multiple pool places and have been with them the last 2 years. They are quick to respond and always send someone over fast. I have them on weekly clean up and my pools always nice and pretty and the only evidence of them being there is a bill in my mailbox. The guys who come are respectful of my property and very nice and hard working. I bet they hate my pool, but they're not the only ones. The man who owns the business is amazing. His wife answers emails fast and he always returns my calls. He even gave me his cell so I can just text him info and my oh my I bet he regrets that but I love him for it. If you go in to buy something be prepared to wait because he's the only one in the store and that's why you're getting reasonable prices, no dumb cashier to pay! So be nice and wait patiently or better yet, just set yourself up for weekly matinence and they'll bring all the chemicals to you. Love love love lucky duck!!! Hate hate hate my pool. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with their service. We just bought a new home and it has an above ground pool and hot tub. I had Lucky Duck open our pool and hot tub and was told to bring a sample of the pool water to be tested in a few days. The pool was absolutely filthy and the water was green. They discovered that the hot tub was leaking but couldn't offer anything because they don't service pools. After spending $170 to open the pool, I was charged an additional $93.45 in chemicals. (And please note that I was at his store and waited for over 25 minutes. The store only had 2 other customers in it, he had 1 other staff, but the owner John was on the phone the whole time. I was there with my toddler and it was clear that his patience was waning). Anyway, I followed the directions as given and the pool remained murky and green after running the pump for over a week. I had someone come take a look at our hot tub (which was broken) and he tells me that he noticed that the connections to my pool were incorrect and that is why it wasn't clearing. He switched them, added some chemicals, and bam, the next day the pool was clear. I called John to tell him and all he could say was "Oops. Sorry. I can give give you a discount if you decide to close the pool with us." Yeah.. I don't think so... And please note, we discovered that the pool is also UNSAFE to swim in because the integrity of the wall was compromised (had duct tape and rusted bolts on the panel where the skimmer and pump connections are). We were told by the guy who came to open the pool from Lucky Duck (I can't remember his name) that if it holds then "good", if not, then we need to buy a new pool. I am so glad I had the pool looked at by another pool professional because he took one look at the pool and he said there was no way, in good conscious that he'd open the pool for us. He said if that wall collapsed, anyone who would be in the pool at that time would be severely injured or would die. I have a toddler and the thought of Lucky Duck knowingly opening the pool in the condition it is in, absolutely disgusts me. I would never use their service again and I recommend others to stay away! read more

Just horrible experience. From the start it was nothing but price gouging the owner told me to go bleep myself and he wouldn't come back to my house .Had them install and close my pool and the owner charged me threw the roof. The cover flew off when I called him he said I bought the supreme package which I did not then he yelled at me and hung up .Vert unprofessional would definitely never call them again read more

The service was just ok, and the fact the employee was not wearing a mask was disgusting. Will not be going back!

Called them to look at my pool/filter. They came and said they put chemicals in the pool to clear it up. Little did they know I have cameras pointing at my pool and to my surprise they did not put any chemicals in. They even went as far as showing my mother inlaw a bottle that he dug out of the truck and said it was what he put in. 0 stars if I could. read more

I had a great experience at Luck Duck Pools. John was very knowledgeable and helpful. He helped me understand my pool needs by testing a sample and provided me with clear instructions. I will be going back whenever I need to get my pool ready for my family. Pool chemistry is a science that I don't have time to learn and I am happy to have John and his team to help me there :) read more
