We were starting out without gas at our home so we needed to line up a propane company as well as an electrician to install a plug in our fireplace to power the insert. From start to finish with the help of the owner Ryan and Dan, our installer we completed the job in a little over a month's time. I am happy I chose Hearthside.

The first sales man I talk to when I brought the door to them was great. Talk about the issues. Called to resolve how to best fix them. When the door was finally ready, I went to pick it up. And the was a different salesman at the desk. The original guy I was told was busy with another customer. So I had to deal with Kevin who proceeded to speak to me in a rude tone immediately. Told me my door was not there. Lie. I could see it sitting on a box. He was speaking to me so loud and rude I has to ask him why he was talking to me like this. other employees that were working there witness the exchange going on , and said nothing!! When I checked the door gasket it was not properly finished the two ends were not together part of the gasket was pulled down and gasket material was all flayed out. I ask the rule guy if he thought this was good work ? He starts the yell at me again and says come back in a week! And yelled at me to have a nice day!! I Forgot to get a receipt. When I asked for one Then threw it on the counter at me .Yelling at me again to have a good day.. Sorry so long winded. So I call to speak to the owner. Who called me once and I was working I missed the call I finally called when I could. His first comment was I called you twice... me ok I don't see that on my phone. Anyway he said he spoke to his employees. they said they they heard the both of us yelling ". Me) really !! I'm the customer. I only Came to get my door you've had for 31/2 weeks As for his employee the owners comment was " I don't know what his problem was " Me) oh so that's ok with you! The the owner said that before I came in that day, A family with a special needs child must have touched the gasket and had routined my gasket. Me ) really your blaming a " special needs child " me unbelievable " To conclude that ridicules episode the owner said he would deliver the door to my house and how was I going to pay the $100 repair! Me really you want me to pay for being verbal being harassed at your place of business. ( Him oh ok) same shitty attitude . The own did deliver it. They have a bad rating on yelp . Which he argued about too! My answer is him is that he has clearly been overrated. WTF I only went to get a simple gasket fixed

It was obvious right away that he takes his work seriously and has a lot of experience. He didn't just do the basics--he made sure everything was in top shape and took the extra time to point out a few things I should keep an eye on. I really appreciated how thorough and detail-oriented he was, as well as how easy he was to talk to. It's refreshing to have someone reliable and professional taking care of my pool.     I've used this company for both opening and closing my above-ground pool, but after this year's…read moreclosing I discovered a major issue: the water started draining out under the cover until only about six inches remain. My pool has never had a leaking problem until after they serviced it. I reached out to the owner hoping to resolve the situation, but instead of listening to my concerns, he told me to refill the entire pool "to see if it drains again." I explained that I didn't want to waste money refilling thousands of gallons of water just to watch it leak out, and his response was, "it doesn't cost that much. You live in Barrington, not East Providence," implying that I should just be able to afford the cost. It was condescending, rude, and completely unprofessional. I also explained, as a business owner in the trades myself, that I understand callbacks can be frustrating, but we just needed help resolving the problem. Instead of working with us, he told me he would charge a service fee--despite the fact that the issue only began after they closed the pool. The owner took zero accountability and dismissed everything I said. The lack of customer service, respect, and responsibility is extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable or professional pool services.

    We were at the Seekonk, MA store at around 7:00 pm on February 28. We had a pleasant shopping…read moreexperience but didn't find anything that we wanted to buy. Before we were going to leave, we looked for the restroom. When we found it, the entire hallway leading to it was dark and had been blocked off with room dividers and a sign saying out of order. We made a joke about it because it had the look of a closed off area, not just temporarily out of order. We were exiting the store, walking past the checkout area when an associate, a middle aged woman who had the look of being some kind of shift supervisor, basically wanted to start a confrontation with us. As we were walking past, well within proximity for us to hear her, she made a comment to a young associate that seemed to be about us joking about the restroom out of order sign. We turned to clarify what she had said and she repeated that we made some joke about the restrooms being closed. We did not engage with her and left. I went back to the vestibule area to look in to see her name tag, but I couldn't see one. Then we left. I had planned to write to Ollie's corporate but found on their website a rigid format to leave positive remarks but no interest expressed in hearing other feedback. As I tried to find a way to communicate with them, I learned that they have some very unpleasant actions against them, touching on discrimination and other unpleasantness. At that point it seemed that this kind of employee may be just the expression of their management, and I decided not to try to correspond with them. Then I came to Yelp and saw the recent review and comment about the restrooms having been closed since June of 2025. I suspected when this happened that she was particularly sensitive about the restrooms being closed. It appears that Ollie's has developed a very negative culture. I would avoid them in the future.

    This quirky store has a lot of cheap, liquidated stuff. Kinda like the ugly step brother of Ocean…read moreState Job Lots, in that it's rougher around the edges. They have a bunch of crap with with a few better quality items mixed in. I removed a star for having large restroom signs only to see they have closed them indefinitely to the public.
