Solid 5+ star for Tony! I had my booster pump broken and Tony got assigned by the home warranty company. The diagnostic appointment was scheduled within two business days. On the day of the appointment Tony came in at 11:30am, performed diagnostics, got the replacement approval from the home warranty company, brought in and replaced the pump and the job was done at 12:40pm the same day! First, it's hotter than heck so I would assume it is their busiest time of the year. Yet, they promptly returned our call, set a time/date and arrived! This sounds like a typical professional process, but we find too many flakes who have no concept of this practice. We knew there were problems with the pool motor, but Mike came, did an inspection and replaced a part with the entire service running $225. We could have been told whatever, but the firm's integrity persevered and so we highly recommend this firm. read more

Awesome service!! I love to give good reviews when merited and the Pool and Spa Doctors are awesome! Our spa was tripping the GFI breaker and I even got a small jolt once. Needless to say, we last used the spa almost 3 years ago. Reached out, and they (Tony) came out when they said they would. He took a look and I think they fixed it. Haven't tried it out yet. He could have sold me a new heater but did not want to have me incur the expense until the spa trips the GFI again (if it does). He checked the wiring connection to the GFI breaker and one of the hot wires was loose. He made sure that everything was connected correctly and properly tightened. He then went around at tested for conductivity at different points on the Spa and noticed that one of the speakers was at 40v. He disconnected the speakers at the motherboard as we don't use them anyway. Awesome service!!! I highly recommend them. read more

I called for service after using another company who said my spa motor was burned out and needed to be replaced. I had installed the new motor Mike determined it was seized. Mike checked my old motor and determined there was nothing wrong with it. Mike removed the seized motor and reinstalled the original motor. My spa works great now. In my case, I had an older spa that required hard to find parts, which Tony hunted down and completed the job. He is clear and fair about pricing with no surprises or padded labor costs. At my old residence, I had weekly pool service with this company to maintain my above ground pool. Excellent job week in and week out. I was new to having a pool and Tony was great and patient with me in explaining the intricacy of running the pool filter and pump. I eventually moved into a new home with an actual in ground pool. Equipment there was different and so once again Tony was able to assist with me with getting familiar with the pool. He noticed the equipment there was a very old, and suggested to get it eventually get it changed out. Note that there was no pressure or hard sell to get the equipment asap. In fact, it wasnt until a year later when I decided it was time to get the pump and filter changed out. Tony laid out various options for me and explained the pros and cons for each level of equipment. Long story short, he came out and did an outstanding job in replacing my old equipment with the latest and greatest. I am not affiliated with this business. Terrible. Took me over a month to schedule which was ridiculous in the first place, and never got a call back, so had to text. Finally get him out, which was via a homewarranty claim, and the guy (tony) was in an out and looked at it for 2 minutes saying everything was fine it was fine before I could even show him the problem that my pool guy took a video of. Wouldn't wait for me to even show him, kept saying "I have to go it's a warranty claim" over and over, and then just walked out. It literally was max 10 mins of time. Probably mentioned it's a warranty claim, I can't show you that, 5 times in the 10 minutes. I had a pool leak which isn't covered which wasn't even what my claim was about but screwed up piping that was leaking prior, and he wouldn't even take the time to let me show him the issue. So ridiculous and unprofessional to not even wait for me to pull up the video took to explain the issue and extemely rude after I waited for a month and stayed home from the office all day to meet him. I have been using Pool and Spa Doctors for the past 10 years, since when they started their business. I have a weekly pool service. The guy cleans the pool surface, add chemicals, make sure our polaris works, checks the water level, and if there are any issues, they let me know promptly. When I have issues, I either call and leave a voicemail, send emails, or texts them and they respond within the same day or in the next day. It has been stress-free experience for me, and just one thing that I really do not have to worry about. Though I have never really compared the cost, their service seems reasonable. The service includes the cost of the chemicals, and considering that, I find their service to be very competitively priced. read more

I am not someone that usually writes a review, but I couldn't NOT write one for Tony! Similar to a previous review by MV on 5/8/21, I have an older stand-alone hot-tub whose pump died. No one makes this particular pump any longer, but Tony found one that would work, re-worked the PVC to accommodate it, and after a couple visits, it is working like a charm. e really went above and beyond to get it working for us, communicated every step of the way, and he was just someone you immediately liked and trusted. I had been using them for weekly service and repairs as necessary for a long time. Started to notice near the end of the year that the pool was not as clean. I checked their visit cards and the baskets and found the one with no notice of visit and the other full. First time I called they came right out. Then in December, it happened 2 weeks in a row. I sent them an email. Was issued one week credit. When I asked about the second week...they said they couldn't service my pool anymore and please pay for the weeks they did show up. I have had Tony and Gino taking care of my pool for the past five years and could not be more pleased. I bought a house with a pool and tried to maintain it myself for several months as the water got steadily cloudier and greener. Another pool company, who guaranteed results, was not able to clear up the water. Pool & Spa Doctors was able to clear it up over the course of a few weeks, without draining the pool. Since then, they have maintained the pool and the water has been crystal clear. P&S has fixed numerous problems that have cropped up over the years, including extending the life of a failing ancillary pump (rather than just reposcing it with a new one), and changing the filters out (for less than half the cost I was quoted by another company). Today, they installed a new heater for the one that had been inoperable for the past couple of years. They made sure that the controls inside the house interfaced with the pool controls outside the house -- so everything works perfectly. They never pressure me for repairs, always try to salvage or extend the life of equipment before replacing, take care of repairs quickly and personally, and faithfully keep the pool in perfect condition week in and week out. I have and will continue to recommend them to anyone who has a pool. They are the best! read more
