The office had state of the art technology and my daughter had an extremely thorough eye exam. They had a huge selection of frames (even for kids)! She was allowed to try on frame after frame before finding the best fitting pair. Skylar, the optician, then meticulously adjusted again and again, until the best fit was obtained. Initially, my experience was great--the receptionist, the technician, and the doctor were all friendly and helpful. Things changed when I declined the upgraded lenses they recommended, which were quoted at $415 and $815. I chose to go with the basic pair covered by my insurance and requested a copy of my prescription. However, my prescription did not include my PD (pupillary distance) or any information about the eye misalignment the doctor mentioned during the exam. When I called the next day to request this information, I had a frustrating experience. I was placed on hold multiple times, transferred between staff, and eventually given conflicting information. One staff member told me my PD was 31.5, while another later told me it was 62. Additionally, I was told that the "misalignment" only applied to the Neurolens option--the most expensive lenses they recommended. This was confusing, as I was not given a clear explanation during my exam about whether this was an actual diagnosis or something specific to a premium product. I left the interaction feeling unsure about the accuracy of the information provided and concerned about whether I was being encouraged toward unnecessary upgrades. Beware if you dont purchase their upgrades!!

The nice thing is that I can ask her any and all questions about my eye situation and discuss any concerns, and she takes the time to educate me and reassure me about my eye health. At age 70, I take my eye health very seriously and appreciate the information she imparts, and also the knowledge that she would alert me to any serious problems and initiate an immediate referral to a specialist if need be. I came away with an updated eyeglass prescription. They have the glasses on-site, but one can also take that prescription to any other place.
