She told me one thing on the phone then when I got there and im halfway through my service she kept adding fees. I just wanted Gel French tips and a gel petty . When she couldn't come up with a set number I offer 105$ for both and it seemed they weren't happy with that price so I just got my mani with gel and that came up to 65 even though according to the price chart on the wall they start at 35. It was 70 with the tip my BF left . Im glad I didn't get the peti because they made me feel anxious and the whole salon went pin drop silent when she was yelling at me over the price . I was just trying to negotiate what I felt was reasonable and matching what we talked about on the phone . My personal favorite is #2- it begins with a sea salt leg massage, then your feet are dipped in hot paraffin wax & rubbed down with hot stones. Typically, gel doesn't stay on very long for me (like 1 week) before the bottom starts peeling up. I think it's because my nail beds produce more oil and when the coats of polish are too thick, I find it also quick to peel off. I got a gel mani 2 weeks ago and let the manicurist, Lee, know that I prefer thin coats to keep the gel lasting longer. Lee exceeded my expectations! It's been 2 weeks and no peeling polish!! First time customer: There is no parking lot nor free street parking. I was in no rush today so I decided to park two blocks away off the main street and enjoy the walk to the salon. Not much going on for decor, very outdated. Needs new paint and furniture. I personally would not use the word "spa" in this business name, I truly did not get the feel of a spa environment. But if your not looking for glam, shine, and relaxation. This is truly a nail pit stop. While I was there I did notice someone had asked for waxing of the eyebrows; they were sent upstairs... hmmmm so there is an upstairs to this salon; unfortunately I did not view this area. Selection in color was fair, they had your main OPI and Essie polishes and few unknown brands. Some people are very selective and like to stick to certain brands of polish. It would have been nice to have the polishes organized instead of mixed together. But eventually after 10 min I picked out a color. They keep the gel colors all the way in the back almost hidden. Trinity was her name, she is awesome! I showed her picture of the nail shape I was going for. She gave me exactly what I wanted! Perfect, down to every detail from the cuticles and nail length. She cleaned up my nails and polished them perfectly. No complaints. Oh just a heads up this place prefers cash over credit. But they will accept your credit card but have CASH FOR THE TIP.
