Came in for a walk-in and waited 30 min to get a gel manicure + designs done with Lee. The wait was worth it! The nail techs here are super sweet and ask you how you want your nails done and if you want to add anything throughout the process to make sure you like the end result! It was $35 for the gel manicure + $5 for designs, but Lee charged me $35 since it was a new nail design she tried. Be sure to bring cash to pay. Overall would recommend to nearby Berkeley students, and definitely coming back again in the future! read more

Lee, Hannah, and Nancy are AMAZING!! They work really well together and create such a great and fun environment. Really great at creating conversation every time I come in as well as with everyone else there. Both Hannah and Nancy are always my go-to for my pedicures they do a very clean job and massages really well. Lee is perfect for manicures/full sets , waxing, and lashes! I always leave feeling so beautiful after getting pampered by them. This past visit I was celebrating my bday and they took such care of me and my sister. Their nail polish and gel colors are the Real quality brand and never compromised with the knock off brands. Everyone is great at pedicures but my favorite pedicure comes from either Hanna or Nancy. They really get your feet extra smooth like a baby's bottom and Hannahs nail polish technique is perfect every time! Michelle and Lee are my "go to" for acrylic nails. They both are amazing! Lee is great with longer nails as my 20 year old daughter loves her! and Michelle is great with shorter nails and longer nails but they both do great work either way. No wait time in mid Saturday and lots of choices for gel manicure! Only $28 too! I am super impressed by the workers patience and quickness to the care I received. I liked all the color choices it seemed but she helped me decide on one and took her time helping. I appreciated it a lot. Short hand massage with Aveno lotion at the end. No shoulder massage. Although I don't normally ask anyway, so it's okay :) The location has street parking (off Shattuck is probably more luck). This salon is right before the shops in north Berkeley so it's a great spot to take care of errands and pamper yourself. They offer lashes as well. Someone mentioned. The women working are respectful to each other and customers. It seems like they get frequent customers. I've been coming to this nail salon since i was in middle school, I am now 23 years old. Me and my mom love Lee and the other lady's here. Laura does amazing acrylic and Kathy does the most crisp French tip. They are professional and very accommodating here. If you're looking for a place in Berkeley I'd highly recommend coming here. So, let me start off by saying that the quality of the nails is pretty good and they did a phenomenal job matching the design that I wanted. Also, I absolutely adored the ladies that worked there. However, I was a little disappointed with the lack of organization at the salon. My group and I made an appointment days in advance, but when we got there we had to wait over an hour to be seated. I love this place! I always go to Kim and she is wonderful. Always so sweet and she does a very good job. She is very detailed and does exactly what you ask for and is always checking in with you to make sure everything is all good. They also have a ton or color options and are fairly clean. You can almost always be accommodated without an appointment (though I usually try to call a little in advance just to make sure they're not too busy and that Kim is there). I'm usually very picky and have a hard time finding a nail salon I like. But I have been fortunate enough to have a great experience here since my first time! Thanks Kim! read more

I don't have high expectations for a pedicure but one of my few expectations is that the aesthetician doesn't cut my feet in any way. This has only happened to me one other time but it happened again yesterday at Polished Nail Spa. When she was trimming my cuticles, she cut my big toe where my skin meets the nail. I felt it and looked down, and she gave me a guilty look but didn't say anything. Then the blood started to come out so she couldn't hide it - she said sorry and blotted it. Due to the language barrier, I had a tough time communicating with her and asking her to clean the wound. The place is not very clean which is usually okay with me but after I was cut, I became more concerned about the cleanliness of instruments and equipment. It was a busy afternoon and I think she was just rushing through the pedicure to get through to other customers. Pedicures are $24 which is still pretty pricey for a bad pedicure. I was desperate for a pedicure but I should have just waited to go to my typical spot. read more

After an hour and a half I have the worst acrylics i have ever had. Salon was rude and inattentive when I arrived. Nail tech did not properly prep nails and simply began gluing acrylics on . My nails have very little to no powder making them painful and highly inflexible. I have no apex and the shapes are inconsistent. Do not come to this salon if you want GOOD acrylics. This is a 2.5 star rating rounded to 3. I was really disappointed with my acrylic fill here. I got my nails done last week, and as you can tell, the acrylic was not smoothen out and looks like a lump. Worse of all, the color faded extremely quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if this happened to white polish, but I did pink. Usually my nails don't grow out this fast, so I'm not sure why the gaps in my nails are this large only within a week. You guys have to try this nail shop! I stopped in on a business trip and unfortunately broke a nail. My nails are natural so I didn't want to cut them all to the broken ones length. When I got there all the ladies smiled, said hello how can I help you. One of the ladies took a look at my nails and recommended Lee! Lee was amazing!
