Came in today for an appointment I made with her at 12 and the nail lady disregarded my appointment because she was still working on someone else and said it will be 5 mins which turned into 25. The lady was no where accommodating. I will NEVER come back here. Where is the accountability ? Where was any type of accommodation? So annoyed with businesses like this. I don't even want to write a review, but I have too! Words cannot explain how GREAT she is! She's the best kept secret in Richmond! I'am now currently living in Las Vegas, but I travel often back to the Bay Area just for her! Worth the trip & worth the trouble! She's friendly, patient, & very precise on her work. Takes her time cutting your nails, shaping/filing them down, etc just to make sure everything is perfect. Previous nail shops that I've been too made my nails look too thick with acrylic & sometimes nail polish would come out lumpy/thick or uneven! =( Caroline does them thin & polishes evenly! Just so happy with Tina's work. The service at Regina's Salon is excellent. They made me feel at ease with being a bit particular with how I wanted my nails to look. Not only did they take their time to make them look as I wanted, the end result makes me feel so pretty and they picked up my spirits. The receptionist was kind enough to let me borrow her charger as my phone had run out of battery and I wanted to show Tina a picture of what I was looking for. I love this place! I get both my haircuts here with Guadalupe and my massages here with Rosa... they are both the sweetest and very patient with me... I tend to be very particular (yikes!) but the first few times I went in (I think I actually first got a pedicure and then my haircut and then a massage) they were both very patient and understanding, making sure they knew *exactly* what I wanted and now every time I come in they remember what I want without having to clarify! It's awesome knowing that they care about their clients, and awesome to know that when I come in they care to remember my name and my needs! They also remodeled, though it looked nice before, and it's beautiful! It has always been a nice and bright place and the salon is always so clean. Before Guadalupe, I had the same stylist for years - and while I liked her and she always did a great job, even my trims would take forever because she was always gossiping, talking to her teenage kids on the phone and looking at herself in the mirror more than she was looking at my hair. I was SO afraid of changing up BUT am so glad I did - now my hair looks just as amazing, my appointments take half the time and I don't have to worry about my stylist gossiping me to her other clients either! read more

What a great experience! I just had my hair cut and colored by Guadalupe Torres, the owner of New Leaf Salon. I found her on Yelp and decided to take a chance. She is soft spoken, very kind and an attentive listener. I explained all my hair troubles (thin hair, dry scalp, grey appearing, hairline beginning to recede) while she quietly listened. She made recommendations and then proceeded with a wonderful cut that gives my hair volume and frames my face. She combined highlights and low lights to take away the grey and give me a modern look. She spent a full 3 hours with me, and when there was still a piece of grey poking out, she went back and re-did it! She takes her time and makes sure her clients are completely satisfied.
