With prices having jumped at seemingly all nail salons I'll admit that caring for my toes is something that's gone by the wayside. Even I was finding them difficult to look at. As my friend and I walked the length of Solano Avenue we kept pausing in front of the array of nail salons but this was the only one with a price we liked. The salon here is rather no-frills and for those who are used to and have strong opinions about exactly what a mani or pedi should look and feel like I'm thinking this may not be your spot. Didn't feel comfortable myself during my entire time in the salon. Felt pressured to go with their gel x when I explained I just want acrylic. Once I said I would like to stick with acrylic. The nail artist looked disappointed in my decision on wanting to do acrylic. Few minutes later decides to switch nail technician and proceeds to butcher my nails. They asked if I liked them and honestly if I'm going to pay money I would like them to look nice but once I said no it felt like everytime they would talk crap. So disappointed on how they came out. They couldn't even remove all the white paint they used for the French tip of my nail. Plus I found it ridiculous when I was asked what I would like I was given a dirty look. Lina does a fantastic job on my eyebrows. I get endless compliments on the eyebrow shaping. Lina suggested a new type of nail tip, not gel or acrylic and of course I cannot remember the type of nail product, I think "Gel ease", something like that. These nails last 3 weeks minimum and probably last longer, but I wouldn't know because I go in for eyebrows and a pedi! This is a luxury!
