Just because I wanted my feet done and I stated that I called a couple of times and the nail tech lady just swears up and down. I got the wrong place. I'm calling the wrong number. No, I walked up to the shop and got the number off the window and make sure it's the right number. Came here on a sister date and we had a wonderful experience! Lina and Lulu were both incredibly professional and gentle with my sister and I. We both got gel, going for the magnetic "velvet" look. Wow -I am beyond impressed by these ladies. And to be clear, I am a very difficult client. I literally travel to Canada to get my nails done because I like them done a very specific way, and it has been almost impossible to find that style locally. That said, I messed up and broke two nails doing laundry and urgently needed a repair just to get me through work until my next appointment. This spot's customer service definitely leaves a lil' something to be desired, but I'm not gonna comment on the actual quality of the services because unfortunately, I can't--I never had the pleasure of receiving any. I called ahead of time on a sunny Saturday to ask if they had time for an impromptu gel mani and gel pedi later that morning, and the woman who answered the phone practically discouraged me from coming in. "It's going to be $130 total, $65 for the hands and $55 for the feet. Is that okay?" I said it was and she again asked, "You're sure?" I repeated that the price was fine (I had a vacation in a few days... I hadn't even the time to be frugal, frankly.) I wasn't sure if they've been getting complaints about their prices but it was a bit weird. So I arrived at their (totally empty, save the two nails seated at their desks) salon and the woman who introduced herself said that it would be an additional $30 to remove my gel polish, bringing the total to $160 for a basic gel mani/pedi. I felt like that extra should've been mentioned during that initial investigative consult call and decided to leave without getting anything done. I wanted gel extensions I accidentally scheduled for just a gel manicure and when I tried to clarify with the nail tech she just disregarded what I was saying/asking for. She continued what she was doing. I showed her an image with longer nails and she still didn't get it. When I told the manager about the miscommunication they offered to do what I wanted but I had already been there for 2 hours. Why would it take that long for just a gel manicure?
