My masseur, David, followed the form I filled out beforehand, in which customers mark an X on parts of the body not wanting treatment and circle areas of desired focus. He brought so much relief to my shins and both upper and lower legs. And the pressure was hard, as I had requested, but not painful. He did good work on my back and shoulders too, with use of the forearms and elbows along with great technique. My bf was happy with his massage as well, which is a big deal since he's actually hard to please when it comes to massages.
