Came to do a couple Swedish 60 minute massage. It was a great experience!! Felt super relaxing and comfortable. It was clean inside which I value a lot. When you walk in, you take off your shoes and check in (we had a reservation). We filled out a form and circled areas of our body where we want special attention. However, during the massage I did not feel any special attention to the area I chose. There was a nice little tea/snack station and they had a bathroom but it was pretty small. We will definitely come again and speak up about the areas we wanted special attention to! :) read more

I went to this place for a couples massage a few weeks ago in Berkeley. I have not gotten a massage in months and really wanted a good Thai massage. I was able to book an apt last minute which was amazing. The location of this place is surrounded by so many great restaurants in Berkeley as well. What an amazing experience! This is my first time at kneading wellness Thai, the ladies were wonderful. This was our first experience and my husband has deemed it as the best massage he's gotten. I hurt my neck on Tuesday, and went to get a massage on Wednesday. I've never been here before, although I've walked by many times. It's easy to get a same day massage, which is SO RARE. They assigned me Bella for my massage and she is INCREDIBLE! Just INCREDIBLE! I went back today, a few days later, to get another one from her. She is just so skilled, and her pace and rhythm is amazing. I got deep tissue, and that's exactly what she did. She was so thorough, and got to every little muscle in my neck, back and arms. Just wow. My only constructive criticism is they should tell you what kind of oil they use, and in general what they are putting on your body. I'm a massage therapist in training, and we've learned that with so many allergies and sensitivities out there, you really need to let people know, and not just apply it to their skin. I will be back for sure, and I'm going to try some of the other massage therapist, but boy do I love Bella! read more

I gave this place a second try because it's much easier to park than at Chaiyo or at Malai massage and to make an appointment but it's really just okay - my massage started late and ended a couple minutes early, and the problem spots I asked to focus on were only tangentially addressed. I think this is the last try. They're very nice but it's worth the trouble to go to one of the other places. One plus that they have is that even though the rooms are poorly soundproofed they are private rooms as opposed to the other places where there's only curtains separating you from other patrons. read more

I was so happy with my one hour Swedish massage by Pim. My companion got a deep tissue massage from Bella and also thought it was great. I thought the price was quite reasonable at $95 for an hour, especially compared to the place I've been going in San Francisco. I have chronic migraines during certain months of the year, and so I get work done regularly from Kneading Wellness. I have had most of their therapists at one point or another, and each time I walk away with a lot of tension lifted from my back. If you haven't had a Thai combination massage, it's like a mix of assisted yoga, chiropractic work, and massage. Sometimes it has more trigger point or deep tissue, depending on the condition of my back. The place itself is nice and soothing, but I'm really glad it is more therapeutic than "relaxation." This review is long overdue. I've been coming here for massages for quite some time, but today's experience was completely different--in the best way possible. I can honestly say this is the first massage in my life that truly changed how my body felt. My massage therapist, Bee, was absolutely amazing. She truly has magical hands. I came in today dealing with chronic pain--my hips and calves were hurting, and I was also having ongoing shoulder issues that I've been addressing through physical therapy and acupuncture. For months, my shoulder, shoulder blade, and left rib had been misaligned, causing discomfort every time I took a deep breath. Somehow, through her incredible work, Bee was able to realign my shoulder and rib. When I took a deep breath afterward, the discomfort I had been feeling for months was completely gone. I honestly don't know how she did it, but the difference was unbelievable. I originally came in because my hips were in severe pain, with sharp discomfort that made me call last minute. That decision turned out to be one of the best I've ever made. Not only did Bee relieve my pain, but this is the first time I've ever walked out of a massage feeling light as a feather. I cannot recommend Bee enough. This experience was truly life-changing. read more

I realllllly want to love this place. I've been 5/6 times (like, really want to love it!). It's on classpass and has same day availability AND you can book online. The problem is the quality of the massages is very spotty. I dropped $200 on a 90 minute massage and it was not great. I requested deep pressure, I could barely feel the pressure. I have achy spots all over, they somehow managed to miss all the achy spots. There was a lot of walking on my back even though this time I got the therapeutic one (which I don't believe has that?!). I specifically requested a neck massage, my neck got swooped over a few times with no attention to knots. It's clean, cute, and everyone is very nice. I just wish the massages were solid. Chaiyo is further and harder to get in same day, but save your pennies, folks read more

I've been a massage therapist for 23 years and I'm a connoisseur of Thai massage. This place is just OK, I booked a two hour they tried to talk me out of it and tried to change the treatment that I requested. I wanted a herbal massage, lady tried to convince me to get the hot stones. I said no which is fine they started my treatment 15 minutes late and then ended 15 minutes early they still tried to charge me the full amount so I had to complain, they ended up giving me $20 off or something, which is fine. The massage was pretty good. It is not clean in there, the bathroom is very dirty there's mold all over the floor. They are friendly but a bit pushy. read more

Went to Kneading Wellness back in April, and was really looking forward to the session after seeing positive reviews. However, i left feeling very disappointed and far from rejuvenated. I showed up 10 minutes early per their appointment request, however, my appointment was incredibly delayed past the appointment start time (though my massage duration was not affected). The place was clean and it was nice to have a private room. However, the masseuse I had was extremely rough (and i regret not being able to speak up at the time), and for most of the massage it felt very hard to breathe, and was just straight up pain. I didnt realize until later (via confirmation texts) that they switched up my original requested masseuse-who I specifically requested because of great reviews. Overall a very disappointing experience. *Edit after response from owner: I have not confused my review with a different place, as this was only the 2nd place I've received a massage, and the other place was exceptional. At Kneading Wellness, I was sitting in the waiting area and no one was at the front desk-everyone was in the back rooms, and no one came out until way later. read more

We got the Thai massage and the Swedish massage. Their technique was good. We had better but they were good. Went here for a last minute massage with a friend. The aromatherapy massage was 1 hr for $85 and since there aren't many places in the area this was a good option. I also really wanted to love this place but for the price point I was betting on a bit more of a relaxing experience which I did not receive. The lights were on full blast in the room for half the massage (I didn't realize there was a dimmer otherwise I would've spoken up), and the rooms are not sound proof meaning you can clearly hear everything in the lobby over the soft music playing. In terms of the actual massage I left pretty sore and feel like my problem area is worse off than it was before entering. I've had the Thearapeutic massage several times with Pim at Kneading Wellness. I've had massages for years with many different masseuse and Pim is the best! Many issues due to a car accident leading to spinal surgery, working a desk job, and work-outs i.e. strength training/cardio... Each time I have a session with Pim there's been an overall significant improvement. Definitely better than my visits to other therapies i.e. PT, OT, DC, cryo, red-light, sauna, stretch sessions, acupressure, acupuncture, biofeedback....
