Jessy is highly skilled at massage, but I was not a fan of the facility. The carpet in the room is really dirty and the room smelled weird. I'm very allergic to mold (and it has a distinct smell to me) so I'm pretty sure this building had it. Also I signed up for deep tissue (which is slightly more expensive), but got a Thai massage. I would not hesitate to come back if Jessy changed facilities though. read more

I highly recommend Jesse! I reached out to him prior to booking regarding my sciatic pain to see if he could help. He suggested a 90-minute session, and I am so glad I took his advice. The results were incredible. Jesse was able to alleviate a huge portion of my pain, and I left the session moving around so much better. My overall mobility has improved significantly. I am incredibly pleased with the experience and will definitely be rebooking soon! read more

I visited this business for a massage based solely on the good reviews/rating. Unfortunately, my personal experience in no way matched the expectations I had based on other reviews, which leaves me very frustrated and extremely baffled. I arrived 10 minutes early (parking on the street, as there is no private lot). There are at least two entrances to the building, the correct entrance was never communicated to me so a little time was lost with that, however, I was still five minutes early upon entering the waiting area. He spent several more minutes doing some other things then came out with an intake form to fill out. I filled it out very quickly, then he asked me some questions about the form, and then I got undressed, so by the time we got started, it was 12 minutes after our scheduled appointment time. My understanding was that the session would last the full time I paid for, especially since I arrived early, but it ended 12 minutes early, which was incredibly surprising to me since the delay was not my fault. When I asked about it, the therapist just said he was busy and didn't offer to finish it. I had booked a deep tissue massage. During the session, the style felt different from what I personally associate with deep tissue work, and many times it resembled techniques I have experienced in Thai-style massages (like walking on me). This may simply be the therapist's approach, but it wasn't what I had wanted or paid for. I requested more pressure several times; often times my requests were met with silence and either little or no change. At the end, I noticed that a massage on my face wasn't included. When I asked, the therapist explained that it was an add-on service. I wasn't made aware of that beforehand. I have received hundreds if not thousands of massages in my lifetime and a facial massage is always included as part of a deep tissue massage and if it isn't, I believe it should be communicated. I also don't see anything about this add-on anywhere on his website. The room felt uncomfortably hot to me, and the wide-open window meant I could hear outside noises including motorcycles driving by very loudly, and a fly entered the room and was buzzing around. It was so hard to relax. He also asked me if he could take a client call during my massage. I couldn't believe my ears. It was all-around incredibly sad and disappointing. Especially for a $150 price tag :-( I will certainly never return, but I hope sharing this will prevent someone else going through the same. read more

Jessy came to my rescue!! My partner and I had been traveling and she booked us a couples massage (elsewhere) for when we returned. The lady who worked on me left me in such bad shape. I needed relief asap. I filled out a form on Jessy's website and 10 mins later, he called me and set up an appt for the following day. Best thai massage I've ever received. Jessy was very kind and is really good at what he does. Can't wait to come back and book a couples massage. read more

I had such a great experience here. Jessie is truly one of the best massage therapists I've ever had. His technique is incredible - strong, intuitive, and very intentional. He knew exactly where the tension was and worked on it without me having to say a word. I came in sore and exhausted and left feeling lighter, relaxed, and restored. Jessie combines traditional Thai massage with therapeutic pressure in a way that feels both healing and deeply calming. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients and takes pride in his work. If you need real relief and not just a basic spa massage, I highly recommend booking with Jessie. I will definitely be back. read more

Great massage from Jesse. Friendly, helps tailor the massage to your needs. Highly recommended

I booked my first appointment with Jessy after dealing with a back injury (a pinched nerve) and chronic, on-and-off pain in my lower left back and glute area. From the start, Jessy made the experience seamless--his instructions for parking and accessing the studio were clear, and he was friendly and welcoming when I arrived. He took time to explain the process and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the session. Jessy regularly checked in to make sure the pressure was right and focused on the areas I needed most. He really helped stretch and release tension in my hips and back, and I left feeling so much better. It was a pleasant and therapeutic experience, nothing super fancy, but completely effective! I'm definitely looking forward to booking with him again! read more

This was my first Thai Massage ever and Jessy was amazing.. I usually just get a regular deep tissue massage at spa's but wanted to try something new. I work in front of a computer all day and then have school at night 5 days a week so my posture (neck, back, and upper shoulders mostly) have been really bothering me. I booked through classpass for my first time, but I recommend just booking straight from Jessy once you experience it and want to come back. He was super accommodating and was very patient. Im definitely recommending him to a lot of people I'm close with since we all kind of suffer from the same aches. And he works all alone so be patient and kind to him!! He's so kind. Truly. Thanks Jessy! See you again soon!!! read more

BKK Thai Massage Yoga Spa - Massage Near Me - Berkeley, California

Had a great experience at BKK Thai Massage! My spouse and I booked a couples massage on a Friday. I got a Swedish style massage and my spouse a deep tissue. My technician was perfect. My partner said that after Jessy worked on him, he didn't have any more pain in his neck! I highly recommend BKK! read more

. I've had tons of massage and sometimes Thai massage (like others) can be generic, but Jessy (who seems to own the small place) was truly amazing. He focused on the problem area, my left shoulder and upper back, and had strong intuitive hands. As I requested it was more of a standard strong, deep massage focused on the back and he didn't do much of the typical Thai stretching that accompanies Thai massages. I strongly recommend Jessy to help you with your ills! read more

Had a great massage! Jessy was communicative and great all around. I left feeling loose, relaxed and ready to take on the world. I recommend visiting and getting a great quality massage! read more

This was one of my favorite massages thus far! The building is a shared space so it was a bit confusing when I walked in, but it was quiet, clean, and very relaxing read more

Jessy was great! It was perfect strength and knew what not to do and what to do. I was really having a tight muscle strain from working from office and in front of my computer but it did just enough for me to feel great the next day. Just because massage is super strong doesn't always mean it's good for your body. I think the service I requested was good enough for me to get by for another 2 weeks. It's located inside a house-looking building so it took me a while to find the spot but atmosphere was professional. read more

Jessy gives one of the best massages I have ever had. The technique, the energy, the pressure, the way he cues you to breathe with his own breath, his vibe and humanity. I walked out of my first session actually fully free of the neck pain that has followed me out of every massage and yoga class I've ever taken. 6 stars, this is now my massage home. read more

Jessy was absolutely amazing. I was having terrible muscle soreness in the middle of the night and booked immediately online for the same day. He promptly got back to be in the morning to confirm. His space is nice and warm, and I appreciated the music and water sounds in the background. I didn't have to tell him much, just that I needed a good Thai/Swiss massage that would alleviate the soreness. I've never had a massage this good in my life, and will be a returning customer. He literally pinpointed problem spots on his own without me even telling him. Absolutely lovely person, and amazing at what he does. read more

I highly recommend Jessy! I went for the Thai aroma massage which was a great balance of deep, beneficial work, and relaxation. He was professional, polite, checked in and found the right pressure for me, and did a wonderful job. Will be back. read more

Phenomenal massage by Jessy! I went in with a lot of knots and aches and came out feeling totally relaxed.

I feel like new! My shoulders and back were killing me from a long work week and sleeping on my toddlers floor. Jessy was able to work through the knots while making it super relaxing. He's also very nice and makes you feel right at home. read more

Jessy is an amazing masseuse! His massages have the perfect balance of stretching and deep tissue. Exactly what I requested! And he always seems to find exactly the spots that need extra attention. Jessy was very attentive to my back and shoulder issues. Highly recommend! Great convenient location too.

I got a wonderful massage from Jessy, part Thai, part Swedish. I was really sore from an exercise class and Jessy helped stretch out my back, shoulders, and legs. The massage was great and Jessy was sure to check in regularly on pressure, etc. It was super easy to make an appointment and Jessy got me in right away and texted me to confirm. FYI - this is a one-room business, so you will be the only customer. It is located in a small office building. Everything is tidy and private, but it is not a spa. But you will get an amazing massage from Jessy and leave feeling like a million bucks. read more

Just had an excellent massage from Jessy at BKK. He magically found my problem areas and knew just the right of pressure to use. I feel both relaxed and refreshed. Prices are reasonable and it's in a lovely location with easy parking too. I will definitely go back again! read more

Great massage; I felt like a new person leaving my session. Would definitely go back to Jessy again.

Jessy is a true healer! I was a bodyworker for 20 years and I can tell when someone is present, connected and using their body's awareness to find all the right spots to massage and heal and Jessy did all of that! I felt I was in really safe hands as he asked often how the pressure was and went light in areas that I had requested. I had a big emotional release as well as I had been carrying stress and sadness in my body after a death in the family. The emotional release would not have happened without this bodywork. True healing! Thanks Jessy you are a gifted bodyworker see you again! read more

Love Jessy and his place. Location is great, private, and quiet. Jessy's services are also great - I did the herbal ball and Swedish, and I'll be coming again to do the Deep Tissue. He's very attentive to your needs and helped work out a knot in my neck. His customer service is impeccable, fast response and booking. Support this small business! read more

Great experience! I found out about this business via classpass and decided to give it a try based on the reviews. The business is located in a small office building which might throw people off if you're used to going to chain spa. However, it is a solo room so you have so much privacy! Jessy was really attentive to my problem areas and asked to try out different stretches/massages that he thinks would best fit my needs. I'm all for it! We also had a great conversation during my session. I highly recommend booking straight with Jessy to support his business! I'll be back :) read more

Jessy is very friendly and professional. The massage was excellent. The space itself is relaxing, peaceful and quiet. Will return again!

I have seen Jessy about a half-dozen times in the past year and he's an exceptional masseur. He listened to me describe my problem areas and catered a massage to help relieve specific problem areas that I was having, especially in my neck and jaw. He's very nice and attentive and can talk or be quiet depending on my mood and I've always left his sessions feeling much better than before. His studio is clean and easy to get to with convenient parking as well. read more

If you like a SOLID strong and relaxing massage in a private setting, this place is for you. No need to deal with a bunch of randos, receptionists, annoying parking, etc etc. Jessy is sweet, professional, and soooo skillful. Jessy must have kneaded out a million old knots in my back/shoulders, and basically tenderized all my meat lol. I came here on New Year's Day 2023 and walked out feeling like a brand new person. What a fantastic way to start the new year. Highly recommend!!! read more
