I recently visited Moon Massage for a massage with my daughter and was initially pleased with the service so I decided to book a couples massage for my husband and i. The second time around massage itself was decent, but my experience was overshadowed by the masseuse's reaction to the tip I left. Tipping is a personal decision based on service quality, and I left what I felt was fair. However, instead of gratitude, I was met with visible disappointment and an unprofessional attitude. A tip should never be demanded or expected beyond a customer's comfort. She insisted that because the massage was an hour long she was entitled to at least $20... however the massage itself was only $60? But I guess Unfortunately, this left a negative impression, and I likely won't be returning. I really wanted to like this place because the other establishment I go to on Solano has been overbooked lately. I gave this place a try and did not have a relaxing experience. It felt a bit rushed and the therapist left my session 5 times to answer the phone or do various things for other customers . (I usually expect one time to get hot towels or grab something). There was no extra time added on after even with these short absences. I went here with hopes of releasing some muscle tension and being relaxed and left feeling upset and anxious.The massage style wasn't for me,and felt like a fast rubbing up and down without and slow muscle relief. The best deal in town! My trainer at a local gym told me to check out Moon for great massage and she was spot on! Yes it looks sketchy from the outside but it's clean, efficient and professional. Minnie worked on me and she was awesome, small but very strong and a great listener--she spent much of the hour on the areas I told her were my issues, neck and upper back, but she left time to massage my whole body. At these prices I'll be able to come monthly which has been a lifelong goal! read more

Moon Massage provides excellent therapeutic massage. The facility is clean and professional and has a very pleasant, quieting atmosphere. I have lower back soreness often, along with neck and shoulder tension. The therapists here do a great job working out muscle and joint tension. Hot stones are a nice addition, very relaxing as well. I've had 3 or 4 different therapists, all were great. Usually I ask for strong pressure on my back and I am never disappointed. The tranquil music is perfect, sometimes puts me to sleep. In my last visit she hit all the right spots with the right pressure. I felt completely rejuvenated! I couldn't have asked for more, it was definitely what I needed after a long stressful stretch at work. Moon Massage is highly recommended for a relaxing deep tissue massage. read more

I've been here 5 times and usually like them because of their flexibility to accept walk ins but literally had the most painful phone calls with a new employee yesterday and today to try to book an appointment. Language barrier is one thing, but the lack of customer service is astounding. They are so disorganized and rude, refused to give me availability ahead of time when I was trying to book an appointment time. They kept telling me to call in the morning but I'm done after 3 attempts. Honestly just trash. Clearly they don't care to retain business if they treat customers like that and refuse appointments a day out. read more

I have taught massage for 25 years and am very careful about where I get work. I've had massage from MiMi and from Millie and can honestly say that both are among the very best therapists I've had work from. They also speak English and can discuss your preferences for work and do "spot work" for injuries. They both are delightful women and very professional. SO much better than the fancy frou frou spas with their 50 minute hour and cookie cutter superficial work. read more

Came here for a last minute nasssge and they were so accommodating. I got Caca for my massage, and she was amazing. Disorganized, rude, would not come back again. Normally don't post reviews but this was a pretty poor experience. We called a week ahead to make four 3pm appointments. They said that wasn't a problem. The day before, they called saying there were only 2 spots available. When we got there, they said only one spot was available for 60 mins and the other would have to be cut short to 45 minutes. The massage itself was very mediocre. It felt random and like she didn't know what she was doing. The hot stones were barely warm. After the massages, we gave a 26% tip and they gave us dirty looks and said in Chinese "usually people leave more tips. We probably won't take your job again if there isn't a larger tip." read more

I loved that you can circle your tight spots on a body chart on the sign in form and they will spend time on that. They were careless in moving my hair before adding oil so you might want to tie your own hair up. Thwy also don't wipe you off with a warm wet cloth afterwards so skin will still be oily when you get re-dressed. Nevertheless, my massage was really good. I am an older runner with very tight muscles. After three weekly sessions here, My exercise routine became much easier. Lillie is highly skilled. When she found tight areas, she would massage the the length of the particular muscle slowly but firmly. The pain in the area in question would disappear.
