This place is awesome! I love traditional Thai massages, I always think the stretching techniques recalibrate any kinks and stiff areas that won't budge. The massage "rooms" are more so one large room with private sections divided by curtains. You may or may not hear other patrons but it's never bothered me. I'm usually pretty immersed into the service I'm getting and they do play relaxing music. It's clean, quaint and cozy-- although not a "luxury" spa environment I believe the massages absolutely compensate for it. I've also found this place to be a bit more on the affordable side compared to other Thai massage spots in the Bay Area. There are even 30 min services that run on average below $60 which I love. I've came once to just get a 30 min upper body massage because of a stiff shoulder and I swear they helped me so much with it. I've already recommended other people to try this place out and they love it :) I know these ladies go through a bunch of people daily and this is hard work yet I always feel like they really take the effort to become accustomed to your body's needs. read more

You're not paying for luxury spa deep relaxation vibes here. Rooms aren't separated other than by the divider thingy, so you can definitely hear surrounding areas. That's alright though since the Thai massage itself was great. I made an appointment for a 90 minute Thai herbal massage. I've had other Thai massages in the past, so I decided to try the one with the herbal pouch to see how that would be. I filled on the intake paperwork and you can point out areas you want more focus on and areas you want them to avoid. Cayla was my assigned masseuse, and she was really attentive and made sure the pressure and such was alright. She checked to make sure I was okay being stepped on, and I was like oh yes please. I absolutely loved how much more stepping and stretching there was at this place compared to the other places I've tried. I didn't get "beat up" as bad in comparison, but it was still really nice. The herbal portion was a heated herbal pouch and she'd tap that at various areas during a portion of the massage. The heat felt pretty great. There were times where she had to step out to talk to someone or someone needed to talk to her, but the massage itself was excellent. If I had unlimited funds and was closer to Malai Thai Massage, I'd be getting these a lot more often! read more

Booked an online reservation for 2 people, 2 hour deep tissue Thai massage on a Sunday. Street parking only and service was quick to ge the settled in which is great cause time is money. We were asked to take off our shoes to wear sandals provided by the masseuse. We were given a laminated paper to circle what parts of the body area we want the masseuse to focus on more as well as up to 3 type of massages and extra items on the side like hot stones or fragrance. After that, we were walked to our beds what looked like a long hallway with curtains, dark and quiet. There's a small basket on the bed for you to put your belongings and clothes in there. Asked if they can step on me and heck yes, that's what I came here for haha. My masseuse listened to my body and really put in work. I've been to some good massage places in my time but damn, this place jumped to the top of the heap without me needing to return a 2nd time to determine if it was that good! Earlier that day, I fell off a hammock because the bolt was loose. I fell on my back and I wasn't trying to be sore the next few days so I called for an appointment. I was impressed when I entered the massage rooms. It was dark and relaxing. I changed into very loose pants and laid face down waiting for my masseuse. Cayla was amazing! She has great technique and intuition. The place was clean and had a relaxing vibe. This was my first time here and I was a little curious about why the rates are lower than other places, although reviews are great. After coming and confirming services are professional and just as good as more expensive spas, I think the rates are due to the space not having private massage rooms; it's one big open space with about 6-8 massage tables divided by curtains. Masseurs keep the vibe relaxing with dim lights, heaters, and aromas, but inevitably some noise does travel. This isn't an issue for me so I plan to return. read more

The female therapist I was assigned did not respect my boundaries despite my clear requests. What should have been a safe and restorative appointment quickly turned into one where I felt uneasy and pressured. No client should ever have to second-guess whether their personal space will be respected. A massage therapist's role is to foster trust and create an environment of comfort, but that was completely absent here. I left feeling shaken, not relaxed. Ladies, please do not go here. I was lucky enough to be treated by Apo for office syndrome. He was attentive to my needs per the sheet you fill out and when he felt knots on my back, he focused additional time on that area. His techniques are rather new to me as he has you stretch to your comfortability and then massage certain muscle groups while you're stretched. He is also so kind! I booked for 7:30p for one hour not realizing they close at 8p. But he didn't complain nor even have me come in earlier :') I will most certainly check the times next time before I book. Probably the best massage of my life. I was able to schedule online for a same day appointment with Cayla for a Thai Deep Tissue. I've had a Thai massage before, but this was a little different. Instead of being on the floor, I was on a wide massage table that Cayla could be on at the same time. She was also able to walk with both feet on my back and legs using the bars overhead for balance. She was also extremely skilled and could use intense pressure with her forearms through my shoulders and shoulderblades. My thoracic spine and shoulders have never been more open and flexible. read more

Pros: 1. Place is clean. 2. Probably the best quality sheets I've experienced at a massage place. 3. Wide massage tables Cons: 1. Because of wide tables, there is little room for changing. 2. Massage area doesn't look like the yelp pictures. 3. I asked for the massage where the twist and stretch (like the yelp pic) mixed with Swedish. I didn't get that due to me not looking flexible. 4. Swedish part of massage, oil was used but not wiped off. I walked out greased like a Thanksgiving turkey. Uncomfortable. 5. I asked for a 90 min massage and they cut me short 15 min. When I asked why, I was told I came early. But I spent that time filling out area chart and restroom? You mean time starts as soon as I walk through the door? 6. No face holes in massage table. They use a u shape pillow. This means your face and head are slightly raised. This caused pain in my lower back the next day lasting 3 days. read more

I am in town for work and was in need of a massage for my back and shoulder. Cayla was the one who took care of me and made everything perfect. The atmosphere was perfect and the music was not overbearing whatsoever. I needed to have some pretty strong pressure, and she definitely did just that. There was only one time I needed a lighter pressure, but other than that one time, she had perfect strong pressure. She really focused on my problem areas on my right shoulder and lower back, and at the end as she was stretching my body, she was able to get my lower back to pop when I usually am unable to and that really helped release a lot of the pressure I had there. I will definitely be returning when I am back in town again.
