what started off as a good experience turned for the worst. in all honesty, straight discrimination from this one lady and ive been here before . I got here early for a walk in , she said she can take me for a polish change. immediately sat she starts painting for a french tip , and i notice its choppy (lumpy) so i comment on it . NOT TO MENTION SHE MADE ME PAY BEFORE I EVEN GOT THE SERVICE ! still id seen the reviews so i chilled. Then a white girl came in , my age, she made me get up out the chair to attend to her , nails still were NOT done , and i've been here 30 min already ... I proceeded to ask her colleague if someone can assist my nails , then the original lady doing my nails chimes in to attend back to my nails. The girl my age really did not want to get up , you can see on her face , but she does since i was here before. I start by saying that the woman who did my nails was not happy that I kept telling her that there was ingrown skin on my toe she seemed annoyed with me so I decided to let it go. Well what can I say about my lovely nail polish!!! Well as you can see my nail looks bumpy NO, I DO NOT HAVE FUNGUS. After she so called finished she washed her tools in feet water that got me thinking if she even her tools were even sterilized so I made sure to soak my feet in rubbing alcohol just in case. Not my hard gel nails, I believe that the gentle man has never done gel nails in his entire career a day old and the nails started braking. I got refunded for the not so hard gel, I guess he had no choice he had a costumer and he didn't want me to say anything in front of his costumer. NEVER GOING BACK!! read more

Everyone was really nice and efficient. It's a very clean and elegant store. Their prices are fair and affordable which is the overall reason why I went. The reason I don't give it 5 stars is because my nail artist put one of my gel extensions on crooked and when I told her it was crooked, she refused to fix it. I also told her they were cut too short and she refused to fix it because she said "it would hurt too much to take off" but that's just an unfair excuse. She should have changed it since I was unhappy with it. The boss of the store had to show my nail artist how to use the gel light which really worried me. She wasn't very thorough and it overall felt a bit rushed. 3/5 read more

This place is the jam! Everyone that works there is so friendly, accommodating and honest. Meaning I never felt like they were up charging me and went above and beyond to make me comfortable and get me the services I wanted. I got a free form hardgel manicure from Doris and a pedicure from (I forgot her name but she was wonderful) The owner was very present and even helping my daughter who was watching her baby sister. This place is so unprofessional and anti sanitary that I saw cockroaches on the floor. I had a pedi and it was my first time had the worst pedi. The workers are so unprofessional and they don't know how to do a proper pedi. I wouldn't recommend this place if you wanna have a good experience. I've been coming to Polish for years. It's beautiful and all of the manicurists are very friendly and professional. My nails are tricky bc they don't hold gel (I've tried many salons before). Doris at Polish introduced me into a new technique called hard gel. It doesn't require soaking off the old gel or acrylic at all. Instead, the process only requires filing and filling which is much faster and doesn't require the toxic acetone that destroys your nails. It also doesn't lift or chip at all! I highly recommend it. Also, Sophie (Marvis) does the best pedicure in town. read more

Recently I was looking for a nail salon that was open early because I had to get to work and I came across the salon. Parking can be a bit difficult as there is a hotel across the street and the only option really is metered street parking. Luckily I found a spot and was able to walk in without an appointment. I was immediately greeted and had my fingernails soaked for the previous leftover gel to be removed. The staff was very helpful and sweet. Their selection of gel colors is very good and it is kept tidy. Because it was the holidays I selected a red and the manicurist (sorry I don't remember her name) was very very helpful in selecting the perfect shade of red-- I cannot tell you how many compliments I have received!! The color is dark Scarlet in the OPI gel polish. It has been over three weeks and my gel manicure is still in pristine condition. Prices are extremely reasonable. My new favorite place. I give this place one star for being able to accommodate me in a pinch without an appointment, but zero stars for quality and service. I had acrylics on my nails continuously from 2006 to 2016 so I'm extremely familiar with the process and how long they should last (approximately 3-4 weeks). When I was getting this set put on the lady asked me if I wanted them to last or just to have them for a few days. I told her I wanted them to last. Why wouldn't I if I am paying the same price regardless?! I should have known that was her way of saying she cuts corners in the process and quality of product they use. Sure enough the first one broke off a day and a half day after application and the rest broke off within 5 days. I expect a refund. This manicure is on the same level as the sticker nails you can buy at CVS for $5, not a salon quality acrylic set. read more

She not only made my nails look awesome, but she was also such a lovely young lady who was great to talk to. When I am in the area again, an appointment with Sophie is a must!
