Kanabi offers some solid Groupon deals, and a standard mani pedi is only $50 regular price, which is quite good for Beverly Hills. I didn't love the chair setup.... Basically an easy chair that you are to lie back in while your feet are propped up. I just found it super uncomfortable but people who are more flexible than me or can actually relax a little bit will probably have no issues. I'd add in a little extra time for parking on this street. And make an appointment but I'd call instead of doing it online. They also do facials and waxing. I had a wonderful experience about six months ago when they first opened. There was a husband, wife, and a small child--I got the impression they were the owners just starting out. They were incredibly kind, and my 9-year-old daughter and I truly felt welcomed and well taken care of. When I visited yesterday, the experience was a bit different. The two women working were polite, but the service felt rushed. My manicure was a little rough, and my hands were never moisturized during the manicure, which was disappointing. I didn't say anything at the time since my daughter was with me, but unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning. I made an appointment for a pedicure. I arrived 10 minutes early and was seated in a spa chair to soak my feet after a few minutes of waiting. The chair was broken. several of the chairs didn't appear to be in good condition. I sat there an additional 30 minutes. Beyond the nail technician seating me, I was completely ignored. At no time was I informed that there would be a delay. I wasn't offered any additional pedicure services such as an extra 10 minute leg/foot massage to make up for the delay. I left. I called to make an appointment today, merchant said he would call me back in 5 minutes. After 20 minutes and no call back from the merchant, I made an appointment online through the merchant's website at 12pm. As I was driving to my appointment and about 5 minutes away from the salon, the merchant tells me that the 12pm appointment is not available and to come back at 3. I arrive at 3 and pay for parking for an hour and a half. The merchant then tells me no one is available to do my nails. He tells me to sit down and he can get started with me. After several minutes, the merchant ignores me and starts working on another client. I felt disrespected and wasted my entire day dealing with this salon. Never in my life did I or anyone I know experience what I just did today lol. This will be my first ever bad review on a business. I showed up exactly on time at 2pm for my appointment which I made with the owner lady to be told that they triple booked and had only the owner working. Her husband even had me pull up my phone history to prove that I was not lying about calling and making an appointment. After wasting 15min without any apology on their part for overbooking, I asked if they can at least take off the 3 gelex nails I still had on from when I saw her last time. She had a client already so her husband who's not a nail technician offered to help me since I didn't have the products at home to take off gelex. I appreciated his help but had to do half the work myself (filing, peeling, remover) since they had their crying 13 month old baby he had to take care of. So I offered to hold the baby while he helps take off my 3 nails. I have 2 kids so I had no issue holding the baby. But thought how odd this is, when I thought I'd have a relaxing nail appointment while my 2 year old sleeps at home lol. Here I was, holding another child and filing my own nails. They couldn't do my nails as she had overbooked herself and 2 customers also came for their appointment to be turned away. What shocked me even more at the end of this crazy experience is they wanted to charge me for the removal of the 3 gelex nails! First of if you're a returning customer doing the same service salons don't charge for nail removal they themselves did. But the fact that they messed up my appointment and had no time to do my nails but also had me take off my nails while holding their child then asks me to pay at the end was insane! I laughed n told them sure can charge my card but the husband said it's ok he'll pay his wife. WTF! How is this place in business?!! read more
