Wendy Nails

Okay so I hate leaving unsatisfying reviews but unfortunately I was not impressed with the work I…read morehad done. Originally, upon completion of my gel x full set and pedicure I was happy. I got my nails done the same day of my birthday party, my pedicure did not last through the night. I added an enhancement to my toe nail so they would be even and perfect, the extra enhancement broke before the night ended. Fair enough. Wasn't going to complain, it happens. Last night, not even a week since I got my full set my index finger broke off and I had to glue it back on with nail glue. I got my nails done March 6, broke by March 12 -- 6 days. Probably won't be back. Everyone was nice but I need my nails to hold up at leaaaaaaaast a week before my nails start breaking and looking funky, we pay too much money for half ass jobs. Thanks but no thanks.

We called for a last minute pedicure and they were able to acomodate. The one thing that stood out…read moreabout this place was that they had free parking in a private lot which is so convenient in this area with so many street parking restrictions. The owner/manager was super friendly and great. She did a great job on my regular pedicure which cost $35. The one disappointment was that I took my partner in for his first pedicure ever and just by observing his pedi compared to mine, it was very disappointing. I observed the young girl who finished in half the time of my pedi - his food scrub was 10 seconds and his massage may have been 15 seconds. I was so annoyed this had to be his first experience and he made a comment that for $35 plus tip, he'd rather do something else with his money. I'd definitely request the manager or someone with more experience to do your service. But overall, my pedi was good, I'm unsure if I'll return because it's hard to ask for only one person to work on you - they seem to share work depending on how many clients are there at the time.

Fantastic as always!

The first…read moretime, I saw Sammy for hard gel and was really happy with my nails, so I decided to come back for another hard gel full set. This time, my previous hard gel was lifting quite a bit (not done here) so they removed it and redid the set over my natural nails. From the top, the nails look really pretty and the shape/color are nice. However, the hard gel is extremely thin, to the point where my nails feel like they could easily break. After only 4 days, I'm already noticing lifting along the sidewalls. The tips are also noticeably thicker than the rest of the nail, which makes the nails look a little uneven/odd from the side. I really like the salon and had a great experience my first time, so I'm disappointed that this set hasn't held up the same way. I think there's definitely potential here, but I would have preferred a little more structure and consistency with the hard gel application.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Everything was terrible, from check in all the way til check out…read more First, the front desk girl seemed a bit disorganized and overwhelmed...mind you, the salon was so calm and quiet so I don't know what could've had her so anxious. While I'm waiting to get called, she realizes she messed up someone else's appointment who already got sat, they got her water running and everything, and they tell her she has to get up. A whole mess. This one obviously didn't affect me directly but it affected the overall experience. Then, I finally get called (I was waiting ~10 mins over my appointment time). The technician starts my nails when she gets the first phone call. I could see she's struggling balancing the nails and what seemed to be an important call cause she was also overwhelmed (idk what it is about this place but everyone is clearly overwhelmed). She hangs up, continues my nails and then she gets ANOTHER call. This time she just randomly stands up and runs to take it in the back room. Listen, things happen, but I knew this wasn't an emergency...she had just told me it's a package delivery. She left me waiting for, I kid you not, ~5 minutes (probably longer but let's just say 5), no explanation, no nothing. When she comes back, I say that if it's an emergency then I can wait for another technician so she can handle whatever she needs. She apologies and goes back to my nails, thankfully she didn't get up again but the finished product was HORRENDOUS on top of everything! My nails are so scratched and dry! I was really hoping to have a good experience as I'm looking for a new nail salon in the area but this was just unacceptable.

I have been going to Wendy nails for almost 2 years and I am always satisfied and happy when I leave. First and foremost, they have an amazing and loving staff. I'm always welcomed into the salon with multiple hi's and smiles. They are all so friendly and sweet. Everyone takes pride in their work. They are always checking that I'm comfortable with my seating arrangement, water temp levels, ect. What attracted me to Wendy nails originally was their sanitation process and the fact that they use brand new instruments for each client. They us top of the line polish brands while always offering new colors. Both Wendy and Kevin take pride in making sure the salon is clean, well maintained, and beautiful everyday. Overall the best nail salon expedience I've ever had with affordable pricing while making my nails look amazing! Thank you to everyone at Wendy nails. read more

This was my second appointment with Saffron, and unfortunately both experiences have felt consistently unpleasant and unwelcoming. I actually made a note of her name after this visit specifically so that, if I returned, I could request someone else. During today's pedicure, another customer came in needing assistance with an appointment. Saffron stopped my service to help her, which initially was not a problem. What became a problem was that this interaction lasted approximately 20 minutes while I sat in the pedicure chair with my feet in the water. At no point did Saffron acknowledge the delay, apologize, give me an update, or even ask if I was okay waiting. The water eventually became cold. At that point, I took my feet out, dried them off and decided to leave. Only then did Saffron become communicative, telling me that because my service had been started, I would still be charged. When I said I would discuss the situation with a manager, she informed me that she was a manager. That honestly made the experience even more disappointing. I was paying nearly $150 for a pedicure and was left sitting unattended for roughly 20 minutes without so much as an acknowledgment, yet the immediate concern when I chose to leave was making sure I knew I could still be charged. I understand that employees sometimes need to assist other customers. That isn't the issue. The issue is the complete lack of communication, courtesy and basic hospitality toward a customer whose appointment was actively in progress. For a business positioning itself as a premium nail salon, I expected a significantly better level of service. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.
