Decided to give this place a shot and I did not enjoy my experience at all - wasn't even close to being worth the $42 I paid! My pedicure was the fastest and least thorough pedicure of my life. The lady (I believe her name was Kim) rushed right through and barely even cleaned up my nails. Mid pedicure she had someone else waiting for her for their appointment. She slapped some polish on and barely put any lotion on my legs then called it a day. For my manicure I was passed between two different people and they rushed as well. The lady who I think was the owner (not sure of her name) started it and then the man (not sure of his name either) finished it up. The lady barely even cleaned up my cuticles so I am grateful I went to the guy after because he went back and cleaned up her work a bit, but he rushed through too. At the end he only put oil and lotion on my right hand and then said I was done - I had to ask if he could do the same for my left hand. While sitting at the man's station it was also very uncomfortable since a homeless person was digging through the trash right outside the window. They also had two random guys that weren't customers come in to use the restroom that said "out of order" then they just left. The space is small, there are no massage chairs, you're rushed in and out, and the location isn't great. They're also bad at time management because after I was moved between chairs/technicians, two other women with appointments came in and waited. By the time I left they were already waiting for 20 mins past their appointment times. Terribly run place! Do yourself a favor and go to Yen's Nails, CT Nails, or Garden Nail Spa instead. They're all way cleaner, do a better job, and you can actually relax during your service. Stay away from Mimosa Nails! Update on 3/19/21: Not even 24 hours after my manicure, the polish was already yellowing (pics attached). I went back and told them I was not happy and wanted a polish change. The man (found out his name is Don) that finished my manicure the day prior was the same to fix my nails this time around. Someone else wrapped my nails to remove the gel and I waited until Don was done with a client. Once he was finished they moved me to his station, he then went outside and came back a few minutes later. When he sat down he reeked of smoke so I'm assuming he went to take a smoke break. He did not wash his hands upon returning to then work on my manicure. So unsanitary! He finished my polish change but there was nothing special again. I hated even going back there to get my previous polish fixed but I had to. Hoping I don't have to go back again tomorrow! read more

I believe his name was Don did such a wonderful job on my nails. I got an acrylic fill and he got my shape and length perfect. He knows his clients by name which is very telling. He worked fast and knew what he was doing. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of work is great. I will be honest it's not the biggest, most upscale nail salon, but they did my nails better than honestly any other salon i've been to. I was slightly late to my appointment so he worked quicker but the quality was not sacrificed. The woman doing my toes was also very polite and meticulous in her work. Well they just suck and no one speaks English except for like one person so that also sucks. They don't care if you're happy with your service. This is a walk in kind of place so they don't care if you're satisfied. For $7 it's a great deal on a polish change and they're always open but you're not going to walk away with a good manicure or pedicure. At their best it'll just be ok. When I asked them to clean up my skin on the sides they said it was my fault because I didn't get a full manicure so my cuticles were too long. Even though I had a full manicure with them the week prior. They told me I was being PICKY and that they can't do a good job without cutting cuticles which is total BS. The wait is pretty long for a manicure and pedicure, you also have to remind the staff what you're there for. I've been about 4-5 times now and it's like this every time. They're so nice but if you plan to go plan to be there awhile 1-2 hours maybe more if you're getting manicure and pedicure. But now I understand exactly why it's so cheap. I absolutely did not like my gel manicure from Mimosa Nails. FIRST OFF, the lady who worked on me spent less than 20 minutes total on my entire service. This is a big no no because typically- ANY proper manicure usually takes twice that amount of time due to proper care. That is how I know I was rushed. SECOND- is this even the same color?!!! Pretty sure this wasn't even the color I asked for. THIRD- I asked her to cut just a little bit of my nails off and then file the rest. But she cut it so short! Ugh talk about man hands. read more

While I was researching nail salons near my work, my co-worker recommended this place. She told me that all of the other nail salons in this area are expensive, and this particular one is much, much cheaper. She was right, because when I did a price comparison - this place (on avg.) was $10 less for the service that I desired (pedicure). I was a little nervous with the "well you get what you pay for comments on this page," but decided to try it out for myself. Upon getting there, I was immediately greeted warmly. They started my service right away and I was excited to find out that their chairs also have a back massager (major plus). The man that helped me was super sweet, and did an amazing job. If you're interested in this place - you should ask about their "foot massage" extension ($10 add-on for 15 minutes of massage). I've worked at exclusive spas so I am a picky/difficult client and I trust Don. He listens so you get exactly what you want. He pays attention to detail and doesn't rush like others do. Don's gel manicure can last me two months without one chip! Yes I've had to wait that long between appointments. Also Don removes gel polish the correct way so there is no damage! The prices are reasonable, I would expect to pay more for the value of Don's work. I tip him based on the service and on a percentage of what it would cost at a high end nail spa. I had made an appointment for 2 manicures and pedicures, but apparently they were shocked when I walked in. The gentlemen who works there was not wearing a mask, and neither was one of the customers getting her nails done. I had to ask that please put them on. As i was getting my pedicure, they attempted to give me a manicure at the same time. I paid extra for callus removal, and they did nothing but massage my feet with cream, and rub the dead skin off. As for polish, it was rushed and they rushed me to leave, as apparently they had everyone make an appointment at the same time, so they needed the chair. Its been tough finding open nail salons but luckily I found Mimosa Nails on 3rd street & San Vincente. They were very cautious with the constant alcohol wipe downs on the tables & chairs. If you make an appointment and expect to be treated differently to a walk-in, you're mistaken. You will be a walk-in regardless and sit and wait long past your appointment time. If you have time, this place seemed like a nice place. If you need your appointment time upheld, do not come here. This is my favorite spot. My Gel Manicures can last for 3 weeks even though I go every 2. Tiffany is the best and everyone is pleasant. I like to support businesses that make sure I'm a priority especially when I'm spending my coin. I just moved to the area so of course I wanted to try out a new nail spot close to home but I was not satisfied at all. 1/10 wouldn't recommend this place. The guy who did my toes rushed the entire process and was not hospitable. For one, they're apparently not doing the spa packages ( callous remover, exfoliant, warm towel ect.) " due to covid" but instead they're charging each additional service individually.. that didn't make sense to me.
