I never EVER do Yelp reviews, but I just have to come on and say, Natalia Nails is the BEST nail salon in Los Angeles - and this is after 10+ years of getting mani pedis in LA. I mostly do gel and it's fab. I should also mention, Kyle does amazing nail art. Decor could be elevated, but the vibe is comfortable, soft pop music, tv with local news etc. They also do all of the the extra pampering like foot scrub, massage, moisturizer and hot towels as part of the basic service. I was early for a work meeting/dinner a few doors down and thought ohhh I need a pedi.... I walked in and was greeted warmly, asked if they had time for a walk in. Everyone in the shop was busy except one gentleman who said yes right away and got me in a chair. Ran the water for me, was conscience and asked about the water temp. He was gentle and sweet... embarrassed to say, I didn't expect I was going to get a pedi so had some stubble and apologized and he said, "no problem, don't worry"... very sweet. He did such a nice job, was very thorough. The shop was clean and bright, so many colors to choose from, all the other ladies in the shop had great looking nails too. I have been searching high and low for the best place I could find in LA for months. A good friend of mine recognized that I was only getting my nails done during monthly work trips to SF. She advised me to go to Kyle for my toes and sandy for my hands at Natalia Nails. I usually get gel manicure/ pedicures, but I was def feeling up the challenge of something new. I LOVE MY NEW FUN NAILS! My only complaint is that I was only informed by Kyle of any extra fees for my callus removal for $5. Sandy however did not choose to inform me of the extra $10 fee for painting glitter polish on the tips of my nails and an additional fee for the length I chose. I was very clear with her that it was my first time and I can't help but feel like I was taken advantage of. So just make sure that if you go here you ask if there's an extra charge before allowing them to do anything! read more

This is my gel manicure from Natalia Nails after only one week. It's chipping and they're all coming off. Every time I run my hands through my hair strands get caught and lift them off. Very disappointed and irritated that I have to get them taken off after just one week. I'm traveling and the whole point of gels is to not have to worry about my nails but now I can barely do anything without them lifting off. read more

NEVER will I enter this place again! Came in to have gel removed and a regular nail polish manicure. The technician did not want to wait for the acetone to soften the gel!!! She kept grabbing my hands and scraping very hard with a metal pusher, which damages the nails! I kept telling her that they weren't ready. She said, "Then you should NOT get gel!" and continued to scrape at my nails because she didn't want to wait. The salon I was regularly going to before ALWAYS let the gel get soft and bubbly before gently pushing it off, which is the correct way to do it. If that isn't bad enough, she actually used an OLD, USED, FILTHY file to file my nails! I was going to leave and should have just paid for the shoddy, damaging gel removal and left. Now I'm worried about the possibility of catching fungus, hepatitis, or who knows what else, G-D forbid! Even though I was stressed for time and really needed my nails done, I SHOULD HAVE LEFT!!!!!!! Then, the technician filed my nails into mismatched shapes! Some rounded, some squared, some weirdly angled...awful! She didn't even check the shapes at all! By this time, I didn't want to be touched with the dirty file anymore, so I just let her finish. It seems that the polish was thinned out with acetone, as cheaper salons often do --- because the polish looked thin while she was applying it and it chipped terribly after JUST ONE DAY -- which never happened to me at my previous salon, which I will go back to. My nails looked so awful after this manicure, with all of the differently shaped nails that I just ended up taking it off. UGH! Worst and most scary experience ever at a nail salon! Next place I go to, I'll call and ask in advance if they use NEW disposable files, and if they clean the metal instruments in an autoclave. Anyone have any recommendations for a good nail salon???? I have only done my gel manicure here so can only speak on that but I love this place. Amy is amazing and very precise. She does a great job and is sO sweet! When I started going to her my nails were wrecked from going to another place and getting acrylics which were poorly done. I use to love this place but it went down hill recently. I've been a customer there for over 2 years and the last few times have been beyond horrible. I've had girls break my nails and then try to charge me to fix them!!!!!! First I will talk about the most recent experience which was last night. I arrived at the nail salon at 6 pm. Right away a girl started working on my nails. I came in with my own beautiful long nails which were filed perfectly skinny on the nail bed sides and round on the actual nail. She removed the gel. She cut my nails all weird and now some are really short and others are longer and the shape is all weird. Some are round, some pointy, some square!!!!!!! So not only are they not the shape that I want, the length that I want, they are not even finished because at the 7:30 point she was still doing my manicure. I said listen it's been an hour and a half how much longer will this take. She said 20 more minutes. I said I can't because I have dinner at 8 so just charge me for the manicure and I will have to get gel tomorrow. The nail salon said ok we charge you for gel now and I said no because I have so much to do tomorrow I might not come back to your salon and ESP not with that girl who obviously didn't know what she was doing! All that they did was give me a manicure so why would I pay for gel. So they said okay then you pay for manicure and $5 for gel removal since you are getting gel done. I said ummm no. Why the f would I pay for gel removal when I wanted gel done but only didn't do it because the girl doing my nails was incapable of doing her job properly. So pretty much I paid $22 and sat there from 6 pm to 7:30 and now have an ugly manicure and need to go somewhere else today and start all over with my short nails since the girl ruined mine. Salon time should be fun and good - not a panic attack. I love getting my nails done. I used to really enjoy coming to this nail salon to get manicures, and I have received nice service in the past....however, I had a very bad experience during my nail appointment that lost me as a customer FOREVER. The manicurist cut me with a dirty metal file that had remnants of other people's nail polish on it (gross!), causing a small cut on the side of my finger - she carried on with the manicure and did not put alcohol on my hand to disinfect or treat the wound. It didn't appear that the tool was sanitized between treatments, which is VERY unsafe as serious blood-borne viruses can survive and be spread via unclean tools (including fungus, warts, athlete's foot, the super-bug MRSA and even viral hepatitis). I've been so sad and upset over this event that even my glittery-candy-colored nails can't cheer me up - they are gross to me now! - and monument to this salon's negligence. Your health and beautiful hands are too important and precious to be handled by anyone so careless. What a tragedy. read more

Last incident - one of technicians filed my nail with the filing machine until the nail was totally destroyed by machine, as it actually touched my skin under the nail. My nail was filed through!!! Imagine how painful is that. Here is the picture of my finger 1 month (!) after the insident. Still is in the bad shape, hurting. No refund was offered. No apology was made. As a long standing customer of this nail salon, I will no longer be patronizing it due to the treatment that my 100 year old mother received on December 24, 2018. I made an appointment for Mom to have her nails done with Lee. My mother arrived well in advance of her appointment, but was made to wait over an hour. I called Lee and asked her to please do my mother's nails and she basically hung up on me. My mother observed Lee busy herself and she literally ignored my mother. After speaking to two other workers and pleading for them to attend to my elderly mother, Vivian finally manicured my mothers nails. Shame on this nail shop and for the unspeakable and unnecessarily rude treatment of an elderly person, especially on her 100th birthday!!!! read more

Previously I had decent experiences here, however I would go to a different salon up the street because the male has always been rude unless he was doing my nails-On this occasion I was leaving town, I had (and i brought in photos the receipt etc,-) a pedicure and a new full acrylic set with gel polish. 5-6 days later the nails just started popping off as if they were press ons. My pedicure was fine however I was charged for callous removal which I don't have but was fine with the 7(?) extra...It really only gave me rougher feet that hurt and would itch after. When I brought this in when back in town asking for even a regular manicure in replacement and I'd pay for a pedicure or something they said no because it has been 2 weeks-however I was also not able to reach them by phone when i was leaving town and they weren't open. The women had me show multiple people and then the guy who very much and very unapologetically said it had been too long. I do understand the time of 2 weeks hut the dates on photos and receipt showed clearly they were off within 6 days, like press ons. read more
