Got a spa mani pedi for my wedding. $120. The nail tech who did my toes was amazing, and she did a fabulous job. The nail tech who did my finger nails did not do such a good job. She kept most of my natural length which I wanted, but did not really do the color I wanted. I originally wanted a link pink chrome, but she said it wouldn't last. So then I said a pearly WHITE would be fine. What she actually did was a base coat of a light pink, then some iridescent sheen, then a light pink on top, it's very bulky. I only had time on my lunch break to do this and so I appreciate that everything was done quickly, but I can feel that there's a bunch of layers on my nails and it's simply not what I envisioned. I always wait atleast a week to calm down before leaving a negative review. I always do my best not to but this was really bad and needs to be shared. I went in for a mani pedicure which I've done this every w weeks for over 25 years. I'm 95% sure they didn't use clean instruments on me. The lady just turned from someone else and just started working on me. I let it go because I wasn't sure. Then the lady doing my feet hurt me so badly. My toe swelled up and she started putting chemicals on it and covering it up. I told her and the owner came immediately saying I walked in like that which was a lie then said it was ringworm from putting my foot in the water. Then said no blood so not our fault which I replied she wiped all the blood off. Then they slapped a band aid on me and said go home you'll be fine. Well I went to my doctor and I have to take antibiotics because it's infected. My fingers and toes are all in pain and swollen but my big toe is the worst. My birthday is next week, so I treated myself to a manicure and pedicure. I even treated my mom for a Mani and pedicure. I looked all over and couldn't find the autoclave, which was a HUGE turnoff for me. The autoclave is a machine that uses steam under pressure to kill harmful bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores on items placed inside a pressure vessel. The items are heated to an appropriate sterilisation temperature for a given time. It is essential to have a nail salon! Secondly, my nail technician was a lovely older lady who cuts nails WAY too short! My fingernails are already short, and she cuts them but doesn't trim or shape them. I asked for an oval shape. It's not a rounded shape. I am very disappointed. I was so disappointed that I changed my mind about the pedicure. I wanted to walk on during my manicure. But I was between the devil's horns since I was with a guest. My mom asked for a square and got round. My mom noticed that her nail technician had just taken her open tools; it isn't entirely clear if they were sterilised or used by a previous client. She was even pushed to get her manicure on the pedicure chair, but she didn't want that. She tried to get her manicure on the manicure table like I received. A manicure is more comfortable on the table than on the pedicure chair! Very pushy!!! My nail tech seems to have reused her nail file. Ultimately, I was disappointed and won't return, even if you paid me 10 Billion USD. I suggest that every nail technician in this establishment go to the OPI Service Education https://www.opi.com/professionals/opi-service-education and get more certification as a nail technician. It's right in Calabasas, CA. There are about ten certificates, each of which is about two thousand USD, subject to change. read more

Update: I'm more than a regular customer at Nailtica, but this last experience I had, was just awful. I have to update this review as I have to inform people of what happens If you decide to pay in CASH. I got gel mani and regular pedicure and was ready to head out. I work around the corner of the shop, so I didn't bring my purse/wallet - i only had my phone on me and $80 in cash, in my pocket. As I was about to leave, the main lady (till today I don't know her name SMH) that sits in the front asked if I paid. Um, of course I paid, I put the money on the table right in front of me as I was putting on my sandals. I looked at the 2 main women that actually did my mani and pedi, they were searching all over the place as if it vanished into space. Certainly, one of them had taken the money. On top of all of this, the woman in the front had the nerve to ask if she can look in my pocket. She found $10 dollars out of the $80 I brought in, which I usually pay $70 for gel mani and regular pedi. A loyal customer that comes in all the time, should not be treated this way. Beware of something fishy happening with the workers here! You've definitely lost your business from me. read more

This was my first time going there. The mani/pedi were good but definitely not worth the $95 (gel mani and reg. Pedi). The prices are just out of this world and the place itself doesn't justify the prices (nothing particularly fancy or extra that would warrant such excessive prices). The main reason why I'm writing this review is due to one of the ladies' extremely rude attitude there. She was not happy that we couldn't use Venmo and asked "give me your credit card" in such a rude, cold and agressive tone. She looked like she was in charge. Between me and my friend we spent $250 there and that's how you ask for payment?!!! And not even a thank you! If that's how u do business then NO THANK YOU! This place is a little tricky to find since it is in an alley. They have been in business 5 years, but somehow haven't even been reviewed on yelp or invested in signage. I am from the San Francisco area and thought it would be nice to get my nails done while I was on vacation. Universally nail people in the Bay Area are really rough and fast with you when they do a manicure. This place manicured my hands without the rudeness, hurry and rough treatment I am used to at home. The massage part was non existent though and made me wonder exactly why I paid for a manicure. They seemed moderately clean and all of the employees spoke English which is also different from the Bay area. I found everyone to be friendly enough and much more relaxed than I am used to. Last week I walked in to the place to ask the price list to get my nails done. And I got a shocked. Overpriced and painful! I came here because the place I like and usually go to was closed, sat down for a pedicure and there was a lady who insisted on a shoulder massage even I after I said no. So I went with it, and then two other ladies start doing my nails but one of them must've been training because she cut me multiple times with the drill trying to take off gel from my previous set, talking to the woman next to her and watching over her shoulder. My cuticles are still stinging and red. There was no clean up or scrubs, just cuticle cleaning and painting. It's so hard to relax when you're being cut and nicked every 5 minutes. My feet soaked in the water for maybe 3 minutes total which must be why my skin wasn't soft enough to work on yet. It cost $80 and I honestly was just disappointed. read more

No frills salon, came in on my lunch break and got a wonderful gel manicure ($45). I wasn't sure what to expect at first since the salon itself is not very glamorous, but I'm beyond pleased with my gel mani! It took 40-45 minutes at most and done with precision detail. It's been over a week and I still can't stop staring at them! I would recommend making an appointment since they seemed pretty busy (appointment was at 1pm on a Tuesday) and the walk-ins had to wait a little while. Something I thought was odd was two women next to me getting a standard pedicure basically had their feet in a bucket and were sitting in a manicure chair. Nice no frills salon. Walked in around lunch time, and it was quiet. The technicians were friendly and did a very nice job. They charged a little extra for the Infinite Shine, which I've never been uncharged for, but they did a nice job on the mani pedi.
