Pink Nails - She's Really sweet and friendly also detailed ! - Nail Salons Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I've gone to Pink Nails on multiple occasions, and they're usually decent. The poor little old lady that works in the salon has done my nails twice. The first time wasn't too bad, but last night was HORRIBLE! I sat in her chair for an hour and 30 minutes to get a gel manicure that was the worst I've ever received. Paint was smeared all over the edges of my nails, and the gel was uneven. The younger woman tried to fix the situation, but there was no way to salvage my nails. They might as well have started all over! Now I have a coat of gel on top of a finished coat that is cracking through. LMAO ‍ Waste of time. Waste of money. I hope the cute old lady retires. She has no business doing nails. She hugged me after I complained, but my nails still look grimy. I will not be going back. read more

Great place to get your nails done. Excellent service. Clean and comfortable space. Sarah and Grace are very friendly, and accommodating.

The worst nail shop in my life. I used to go to Korea town to get nail done but I had no time go to k town today. So I stopped by this place but finally I got these gel nails. I attached pics of my nail before they fix and after they fixed today. After I got nails done I saw many ugly parts so I ask to fix my nail, the VERY old lady that have done my nails, fixed a little and said it's ok. What? Ok? No not ok!! She didn't do well. Also during the work, I asked the very old lady to make rounded nails but she insisted made my nails something very weird shape ugly. She pays for me? Why she ignore my inquiry? Maybe she doesn't know how to make rounded nails. She kept saying it's ok...!! Omg... finally I had to file my nails myself for better looking... She is so old so I had to respect her so I said ok but I was so annoyed!! Anyway after all done I had to ask another woman to fix my nail again but she was not nice and just say don't worry I'll fix for you. Don't worry what..? I spent almost 2hours for this!! 2 hours!!! Coz the old lady was so SLOW!!!! why I spent $31 and 2 hours for this!! Also there was a kid running around here and there and even hit my chair but no one took care of it. Terrible. Omg... so unpleasant!! Normally after got new nails I am happy but today I'm so stressed!! Poor skill and terrible service. I just went there coz I live near by! Was a big mistake. See the pics of my new nails... Can't believe this. Ugly.. this place must be shut down. Seriously. read more

I am mystified! The first two times I went I was elated, and felt I found my new nail salon. They are all very kind and attentive, even putting a clear coat on my sons nails. Consequently, on the third visit I called to set up a 5:15pm appointment. I showed up at 5:10. I waited until 5:45 until my nails were even looked at.I received an apology. I was horrified that after I had waited a half hour after my appointment, a nail was cut well beyond the others. I pointed out that it was shorter than the rest, the manicurist claimed the nails were the same length, and then she explained a different defense, that the nails were breaking and needed to be short. I was astonished. I came in with the white part of my nail being double in length, I had no problem having them all the same length, or that they would be shorted, but I did not want my nails shorted than the shortest nail. See photos attached showing the various length as well as a split nail! Bottom line, they're uneven, shorter than requested and now a split nail. Just Bizarre! My rating is high because they are sweet people, and I want their business to succeed, this is a cautionary tale, to make certain you are clear about the length and what the manicurists vision is. I just don't get how this happened after two satisfied visits. read more

Wifey has been going since 1986, the year they opened, and from what I understand, they are experts at real silk wraps, by now an almost lost art. Her nails last up to three weeks though, so Linh and Diane must be doing something right. Go if you want real silk on your nails. read more

Going to Mexico tomorrow and I needed to do my nails! I've actually been coming here since prehistory era but I'm getting a pedicure now in one of their massage chairs and well I have time to spare. The place is very clean, they have a good assortment of nail colors, very clean bathroom, and the staff is very friendly. Came to get a pedicure, but got an amazing massage too! And it's not too busy for Tuesday 2:30 pm. I chose red for my pedicure and my feet look clean and pretty. I also got gel nails and let my tell you, I work 12 hrs a day as a nurse and my hands are a hot mess. (Too much hand washing.) my hands feel so good now and they're clean and nails look beautiful. Check this place out-- it's not crazy busy like a lot of the nails shops I've been to in LA and you're guaranteed a good experience. read more

Pink Nails - Not too crazy for 3 pm on a Tuesday ! - Nail Salons Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I've been coming here for over a decade. The ladies are so nice and do a great job on my pedicures. And they always remember my name. Once I bought a magazine in with a color I like and they didn't have it. But the manicurist was nice enough to custom mix it for me. Still the best manicure I've ever had. These are the nicest ladies and I always enjoy my pedicure. The last time I was there they had a whole new line of nail polishes to try. read more

oh man. I really shouldn't have just walked into any nail salon I could find. The pedi machines are super outdated. They do not even have a separate drying desk. After I was done with my pedicure, I actually had to hold the little fan myself to dry my toes. It was the ghettoest experience I've ever had at a nail salon. As for my manicure, the girl who did my nails made one of my finger bleed while she was removing the cuticles. Oh man, and she didn't even know what to do after she made me bleed. Umm.... Hey boo boos happen. Everyone messes up. However, some measure of disinfection would've been nice, don't you think? What more can I say? Avoid at all costs. read more

Ouch. Curiosity almost killed my feet. I managed to grit my teeth and sit through the slow and painful process of this pedicure due to my self-abusive nature and the need to know how much pain in my toes I can take. I'm tough and now my toes look decent. But I think I'll skip a second visit despite this place being a two minute walk for me. Sorry, Pink nails. read more

I was desperate to get my nails done. OMG. Lyn was amazing. My nails beds are super small so sort of difficult for acrylics and gels etc. she made my nails look soo good and soo natural. Another nail salon along 3rd ave that just doesn't cut it. I've been here many moons ago and I stopped coming for a reason. I don't know what possessed me to return for another go. Right after I sat down, I remembered why. I plopped my feet into the tub, only to yelp (not in the good "write a review" way, but rather in the bad "dog getting stepped on" way. The water was scalding. The older lady (who just needs to retire already) began on my feet and immediately I knew it wasn't going to be pretty. She half-assed the removal of my old polish, and left residue from my last red polish. Then she cut the nails, but didn't really file. So I was left with jagged nails. I actually asked her if she could please file it a little more, but it didn't help. She poked and prodded and for the first time EVER, I actually felt pain. It was god-awful and it took For-Eh-Verrr (Sandlot style). There were several younger girls lounging around doing nothing and I pleaded silently with my eyes that someone would see what was happening to me and come to my rescue. The lady working on my hands gets 2 stars. Her name was either Lila or Lily. She did a pretty good job on my mani. Clean, even paint and also a little friendly conversation. Alas, even with Lila/y I won't EVER be returning. read more

By far the worst nails I've had done in LA. I went here because my normal salon doesn't do acrylic. The whole process was very rushed and the filing job was terrible! I my nails weren't even at all on the sides and underneath. Then the paint job was also rushed and awful. I sat under the light for 30 minutes and it was so thick and sticky even after! They got messed up a few hours later! Then the pedicure...a lady, frail and old as dirt, hobbling around did the most surface pedicure and my toes didn't even feel clean after. The acrylic was $30 and then they neglect to tell you that it's $5 extra for a manicure. The "manicure" was a quick soak in water and clipping at my cuticles. So unhappy that a week later I went back to my normal salon to get them re-done. There are plenty of nail salons Id rather give my business too. read more

I will agree w/ Cricha that Diane is definitely the best manicurist there. I went to her regularly for almost five years. I just went back last week and scheduled an appt w/ her and when I arrived, she wasn't there. Nancy (mgr) was there and said Diane had to leave. I came w/ 2 of my friends, one of whom was Vietnamese. The older lady who did my pedicure poked me w instruments and kept causing pain. I would yell "ow," and she would look at me and smile. She also filed my toe instead of my nail. I think her vision is going. She cut one toenail down to a nub. A NUB!! I am not joking. The worst part -- my friend translated for me outside and they talk about all the customers in not very nice terms. Seriously, I have been a regular client and never knew the referred to me as some of the things she told me!! This is not where I would get my nails down. Poor poor quality, and down right disrespect. They also charge you a dollar if you use a credit card. Seriously? In this day and age? Get with it. Everyone uses credit cards. read more

I don't know what to say. I had a lady who was as old as dirt do my nails. I was scared. But, she did an okay job. It bothered me that she used her finger to scrape off the nail polish she got on my fingers, but, like I said....I was scared. The manicure lasted 2 weeks though so I'm going to just say, it was ok. I wouldn't rave about this place, but they did their job and it was pretty cheap and I didn't get nail fungus. The decor feels like I'm in a bad 80s movie with blue neon light signs inside and weird lacquer furniture and stuff. read more

I really hate to write this review because the ladies were super sweet. However, for 30 bucks my nails look horrible. I had a complicated request, I wanted to get a refill over the colored powdered acrlic, they seemed confident that it wouldn't be too difficult to complete. Now I get my nails done very often so my pain tolerance is pretty high. But this lady was filing down my nails and it was so painful. It was like she was focusing on the same spot to a point it felt warm like she was burning through my nail. Though I was uncomfortable it wasn't A big deal. However the fact that she spent forever filling and my acrlic looked lumpy and uneven was unacceptable. The paint job is my biggest issue, though a finger got messed up while drying, even after attempting to fix it, it still looked crapy. Overall my nails were not worth the money spent. read more

This is the best nail salon by far! The prices are fair and the staff is extremely professional! Linh is amazing! I require a specific shape for my nails that only she can craft & every single time she's never let me down! She also makes sacrifices for her clients. I remember one time texting her at 8am for an emergency appointment and she hurried to the nail salon just to open early for me! She's also extremely efficient! I mean who wants to spend 3 hours in a nail salon! This will not happen at Pink Nails no matter what you are getting done! The only complaint I have is parking, of course on 3rd street it can be crazy but behind 3rd there is a lot of parking in the residential area. Also make sure you bring cash because they charge an additional $1 for credit/debit cards! Treat your nail artist well and they will treat you even better! Cheers read more

Worst manicure ever. When I complained that the technician was hurting me, he said my skin was too thin. (WTF?) When I pointed out that there was polish all around the area outside my nails, he said that the polish was too hard to use on my short nails. (I have regular short nails and all I was having him do was paint them with dark red polish. Pretty standard stuff and something any technician should be able to do.) I told him the polish looked sloppy and I asked if he could lean them up, but even though he tried to go around them with a brush, they still look terrible. And the part he did polish is streaky and splotchy. It's so bad it's laughable. Never ever going here again. read more

I've been going to Pink Nails for about 3-4 years now. I searched and searched in the area for a good nail place and finally stumbled into Pink Nails! It happens to be close to my favorite poke place. Lynn is amazing and I wouldn't go anywhere else for my nails. I do silk nails, along with gel polish and they are amazing every time. Cheap but good, and really, what more could you ask for when all you want is a quick mani/pedi?

Terrible. I had gel nails done at VIP Nails in Woodland Hills for the first time two weeks ago so I am a novice. Went to Pink Nails to have mine removed and new set applied. Not sure if the entire salon is like this but a man did my nails and he was terrible. Here is why: 1. Wanted me to soak my entire hand in a bowl of acetone. I don't know about you but I dont' want to have acetone seeping into my skin and body so I had to ask for them to apply the acetone with the cotton balls / tin foil. 2. Used the roughest possible nail file on my nails so he basicall shortened them as much as if he just cut them. It's also bad for nails to use such a rough file. He also filed the skin on the top of my finger and a few times I pulled away but he just kept going. 3. Said "manicure" was included but all he really did was push back my cuticles and that is it. No massage (woman next to me got a hand massage while getting gels) no cutting of hangnails, etc. 4. I wanted red nails and when I looked closely at the paint job it was a mess. Missed spots on the sides of the nail. The color bled onto my cuticle on some nails and on another nails there was a gap. Just a mess. I had to put regular nailpolish over my gels just for it to look normal. 5. A week later gels are chipping and coming off. Now that I am writing this review and reading how many other people have had a terrible experience there, I dont' know how this place is still in business. Terrible. read more

I was looking them up for the phone number (talk about too lazy to check my Address Book!) when I saw all the negative reviews and thought I'd add my positive one. I once sent someone there and she came back having had a terrible experience. However, I've been going there for YEARS and have always had a terrific experience. They often fit me in, last minute without some big fuss. The price is right for those on a budget - yeah, the decor isn't what you'd expect at the Peninsula but really, isn't that a matter of taste..and sometimes... budget?! As for their saying nasty things about clients in Vietnamese, puh-leeze...that's straight outta a famous SEINFELD episode! Which may mean that in fact, it's true but again, they've always been nice enough to my face. If they're saying something rude about me behind my back, hey, I'll let 'em account for that to their Higher Power, come their Time. There are a few behaviors that COULD be a little offputting to some but I BELIEVE they may be strictly cultural behavior differences, too, such as a close sense of personal space; at times when they're speaking to you, they do not look you straight in the eye...sometimes. I totally cold be wrong about this but in some cultures, I believe that so doing is a sign of disrespect. That kinda thing. I've had excellent pedi's there. Been a client for YEARS. Sandy is my go-to. She's one of several older women there, but she's always done a fine job for me. And she does a lovely foot massage I always look forward to. They are really clean - I've never ever gotten a fungus or infection. Cleanliness is a really big one for me. Parking is fairly limited, so I suppose if I have to complain, I could throw THAT in there...Teensy lot for too many businesses. Read the surrounding street signs carefully. It's WeHo...the parking enforcement sharks are always out for blood in that 'hood. I dunno, I think they're terrific. And for what it's worth, they do have a longtime loyal clientele. I see many of the same people there over and over. If the place has gone downhill, I haven't experienced it. Not yet, anyway. read more

This was the worst mani I have ever gotten, ruined my nails. I had as gel (gelish) that needed to be removed, and wanted to follow up with a regular mani. Stopped there because I had just been to stript, I had a parking spot, and figured, what the heck. BIG MISTAKE. The manicurist (a guy) who so clearly did not want to be there got tired of waiting for my gel to soak off (They use foil removers at beauty bar, so much better!!!) So, he just decided to start FILING the polish off. I tell him to stop because I don't want my nails weakened, he swears it is just fine, leaves my nails with horrible file marks and ridges, and paper thin, like they are tearing apart, like tissue paper. It will be months for my nails to grow in healthy. STAY AWAY. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY. (Unless you have great nails and are dying to have hideous problem nails instead. If that is the case, here is your place.). read more

I'm so disappointed in what Pink Nails has become. I started going there from the age of maybe 3 or 4 with my mom (that's right, I was one of those kids getting mani/pedis as a little girl) and I used to LOVE IT! All the good people are GONE!! My mom decided to go there last Sunday for a mani/pedi and I needed one too, so instead of going to the place I've been going to for the last 4 or 5 years (which is AMAZING), I went with my mom and boy was it a huge mistake. I was literally in tears when I came home because I've never had such a horrible mani/pedi in my life. I work hard and I go to school all week, and when I get pampered, I don't want a half-ass job, I want them to actually work on my nails. I don't want laziness. Sandy did my pedicure, and let me tell you, she should be retired (I'm sorry I have absolutely nothing against older people, but if you can't do your job right, you need to let someone else do it). She didn't file my nails, she didn't clean my cuticles right, when she was massaging my feet, it felt like she was petting a cat rather than massaging...everything about that pedicure was AWFUL! Oh, and my manicure was awful as well...they didn't cut my cuticles properly, and there was nail polish around my cuticles, also the next day the nail polish was already chipping. That's some VERY bad quality nail polish. At the place I normally go to, it's at least a week before the nail polish starts chipping. Also I don't know why, but for some reason, my big toes HURT after this pedicure...this doesn't ever happen at the other place...ugh I'm never coming back here again. Sorry Pink Nails, you were only fun when I was a kid (and when you had good employees). read more

Oy! It was my birthday the other day (yippee for me!!! One year older, and none the wiser.), and I always like to give myself a day of pampering. I planned on going to La Belle nails after reading glowing reviews here on yelp. But, as it turned out, I got lost. I blame it on winter darkness, and the fact that I never use a GPS. However, I spotted Pink Nails, and they had a sign for a $23.99 spa mani+pedi. It tugged at the frugality in me, and I couldn't resist. I walked in, and it was practically empty. There were a line of Spa pedi chairs, and a selection of OPI polishes. Things seemed totally bueno from there. I picked out a good magazine, and hunkered down at one of the massage chairs. Let me warn you... the massage chairs go at two pressures - hard and harder. I happen to like this, but I wasn't prepared. So fair warning. Now down to the actual mani-pedi. My fingernails were being worked on by a male nail technician, who complained about how short they were. Sorry bud, but that's how I like them, and they are too brittle for me to actually grow them out without them splitting (calcium pill, anyone?). My toes were being worked on by a woman who I think should've retired long ago. I wanted the same color of OPI on both my hands and feet. The manicurist was using the shade first, and rather than waiting for the bottle, the woman got up, went to a drawer, and said she had the "same color". I didn't actually see what she pulled out, and since I was reading an article in my magazine, she was already a coat in when I noticed that it wasn't the same OPI shade at all. It wasn't even OPI, but some generic, no-name brand. So how could she tell it was the same shade? When it was time for the second coat, my manicurist was finished, so my little lady pedicurist used the OPI shade as the 2nd coat. I would've said something, if I didn't feel like it would've been a complete waste of time. I stayed for a bit for my nails to dry, and when I got home, I noticed that toenails were not filed properly, and there was nail polish over some of my cuticle area. Though my manicure looked better, two days later it started to chip. They only get two stars, because there is actually a parking lot in an area with very little parking, their massage chairs, and for the fact that even though I'm dissatisfied with my nails, their demeanor was very friendly. However, I hate paying for a service when I feel like I could've done a better job myself, at home. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Pink Nails. read more

I came to pink nails almost 10 years. I always happy with them every single time. Employees here do really good job and good service.

Do not go here. This place is aweful and they over charge. I went here with a friend and got the "spa mani-pedi," (which is $26). A man and woman took turns doing my hands and nails, and both did a sub-par job. The woman was rough with my cuticles, causing one to bleed and others to look ragged. I wasn't in the mood for polish so I asked for a buff instead. They said ok. The man was using a small file to buff my nails, but it wasn't working and they weren't shiny at all. I was annoyed, but ready to ignore it. They told me I was finished, but I noticed my heels still looked a bit rough. The woman then told me that if I wanted my heels exfoliated, that would be an additional $5. Seriously? Isn't that part of what a pedicure is? I passed. When I went to pay, they told me I owed an extra $6 for the buff ($3 mani, $3 pedi). Since when is a buff more expensive? And they didn't even do a good job. To recap, I paid $32 for a mani-pedi and left with scruffy heels, dull nails and a bleeding cuticle. Initially I wondered why this place was so empty on a weekend. I hoped I was stumbling upon a hidden treasure, but now realized I stumbled upon a dump that everyone else knew to stay away from. Do yourself a favor: go somewhere else. read more
