The ladies in there are wonderful and I always feel so comfortable when im getting my nails done. Parking is normally pretty easy to find on the street, which is a major come up. I just got some acrylic nails done but did not like the outcome or service I asked for French tips the nail tech slapped on a thick layer of nail polish and erased as she went I asked if she can make them thinner and she's yelled thinner?! I said yes please I showed her a pic of how thin because I thought French nails are supposed to be thin and not thick after I showed her she gave me attitude and kept dropping things and grunting because she was getting frustrated on doing them it felt like I was inconveniencing her I had to just say okay and move on because I didn't want to be there for another hour and a half she then proceeded to do it in such a hurry the nsils came out uneven and a chunky French tip. So much attitude in a place I'm giving my hard earned money to. Would not recommend. Update: I messaged them had no reply waited three hours I called I asked for a manager and he had quite an attitude said he would call me back because he was too busy I don't think it takes long to say come in and we can fix it or send more pictures I'm not sure they know how to customer service because the attitude is heavy not sure how they still have a business with the lack of professionalism. read more

I have been a regular customer at P Nails since I moved to the Pico Robertson area in 2021. I'm very disappointed to say that today is the day they lost me. I've had many great mani/pedis here and the staff are all very kind, but I've also had several experiences here that altogether make me never want to come back. There have been several instances where they've cut me and I've bled, and I've excused them all because everyone was so nice and apologetic. I even still tipped after the 2+ occasions where I've bled. In reality though, this should have never happened. All of the instances where I've been cut and bled was because the person doing my manicure wasn't paying attention, because they were too busy having a conversation with someone else, not looking at what they were doing to my hands. I shouldn't have been sitting there in pain, waiting for them to do something about it. There was never any antibiotic ointment applied either (I had to do this myself at home) so I was scared I was going to get an infection. The other reason why I won't be coming back is tied to the unprofessionalism other reviewers have mentioned as well. A few months ago, I showed up at 10:30 AM on a Sunday, and according to their Yelp hours they were open, but they weren't. The "Open" sign was displayed but the door was locked and lights were off. I assumed it was my mistake, maybe there was a holiday I didn't know about or something, and I left. Today, I show up again at 10:30 AM on a Sunday, and again, the "Open" sign was displayed, but the doors were locked and the lights were off. I checked Yelp again for the millionth time! They were supposed to be open. I called Steve at 10:34 AM and asked if they were open today, he said yes. I said the door is locked and no one is here...to which he didn't really have a clear explanation for. He said someone "will be there" and said he was going to call them, and I said I'd just wait outside. He calls back 4 minutes later and tells me that there was an accident on the freeway and someone would be there at 11 AM, which honestly I felt was a cover up but I wanted to stay and get my nails done. At 11 AM, still no one has showed up. At this point I was really frustrated and disappointed because I had loved P Nails so much, but this just seemed disrespectful to a customer's time and really unprofessional. If you want to open at 11 AM, that's totally fine! But be honest and make sure your business hours on Yelp reflect that, and don't make up excuses to your loyal customers. I would not recommend P Nails based on my experience. After visiting a few months ago, I tried multiple times to book another appointment by calling and texting, but was completely ignored. When I went in person, Steve told me to text again, even though they had not responded before. When I showed Steve my unanswered texts, he shrugged and said he would tell the manager, but no one ever followed up. Another customer even asked if they could take me after her, and the staff refused to answer. The lack of professionalism and basic respect toward returning customers is unacceptable. read more

Probably one of the worst salon experiences I've ever had. From the moment you walk in, it's clear the place is rundown and not well maintained. The salon is dirty, and there's no effort made to create a relaxing environment. On top of that, the staff don't seem to know how to perform even the most basic services. During my gel pedicure, the technician didn't ensure the polish was fully cured under the UV light, which caused the polish to smear and bleed everywhere once I got home. I also received a French gel X set, but the application was extremely sloppy, the "French" wasn't even fully filled in and looked unfinished. When I contacted the owner asking for a refund for just the pedicure, his response was, "perfection is rare" -- completely dismissing the fact that curing gel polish properly is a basic, non-negotiable part of the service. Save your money and go elsewhere. Paying even $5 more at another salon in the area is absolutely worth it for clean, professional service. read more

I am very disappointed with the nail service Kevin at this salon has provided. I came here for a gel fill. Less than one week after, one of the nails started lifting. I came back and had it re-done and I thought everything was ok. 3 days later, one of my other nails completely fell off and underneath my natural nail was green! And I can see that another nail is turning green underneath the nail polish as well. I have never in my life had this happen to me and it is not acceptable! This is not what I paid for and I most definitely will not come back to this salon again. I contacted the salon and showed pictures of what happened to my nails and asked for a refund. They did not want to issue a refund and just offered to re-do it AGAIN. I absolutely do not recommend anyone to go to this place! I went in on a Tuesday afternoon for regular pedicures for a friend and me. Having called ahead about coming in and confirming the time, I was disappointed when we waited 30 minutes past our agreed upon time. The nail technicians did our pedicures quickly and we were on our way 40 minutes after they started on us. The experience itself was fine until my friend got home. She had felt some discomfort when her nail technician was cutting her nails - she later saw just how much nail had been cut off. She woke up the next day with an infection on her toenail and has since had to seek medical treatment. Walk in was great and prices were affordable for a gel fill and a pedicure. i have no complaints about the pedicure, it was quick and painless. However, the gel fill was disappointing. The woman who did it was nice but it was painful. Once i left i realized most of them are uneven or slanted, paint all over my fingers and on my cuticles. I had a gel pedicure, but it wasn't dry, and the polish ended up messy. I returned the next day for a fix, and they told me it would take about 10 to 15 minutes. Unfortunately, it took much longer, so I decided to leave and go to a different place across the street. Given that I live an hour and a half away, returning for a third time just wasn't an option, even if they had asked me to. There was poor communication and problem-solving on their part. Additionally, the shop declined to offer a refund or even a complimentary pedicure as compensation. I had tipped 35% for the service because I believe in tipping well and rarely ask for refunds. However, when I do ask for one, it's because I genuinely feel it's deserved. I paid for a pedicure that they failed to properly cure, and the messed up polish was on my toes for less than 24 hours. Edit: I'm even more upset reading your response. Minus another star. Steve, you are a liar. It has not been three weeks. I called twice about it. I did call the day after. I did not go Christmas week. You did tell me 10-15 minutes. I waited 40 minutes. No communication or update from you.You did not say you'd get the next one available to take care of it. You said you would do it, but you took on another client. And from the looks of it, you were going to take on another one after her. You continued to take new clients...... if it wouldn't take long, why wouldn't you just squeeze me in.??? It was not one nail. It was a whole foot. That's why. it looked absolutely terrible. I do not understand your situation or care about your untruthful excuses. If you were sorry or cared you would fix it and come up with a solution. I was looking to get an affordable but quality pedicure in LA and I came across P Nails. I called ahead of time and the person on the phone said there will be two seats available (which is what I needed) when I arrive in ten minutes. Once we arrived, it was another 15 minute wait. There are no massage chairs so if you are looking for that, not the place. The room itself seemed pretty clean and felt cool. My pedicure experience was mediocre. I felt as if the feet scrubbing and massage while applying lotion was extremely short and not done well (I understand I didn't pay for the extra massage, but my scrubbing/lotion applying massage was much shorter than others around me). The man who was doing my pedicure applied my nail polish once, applied the top coat, and then said he was done. I can immediately tell that the nail polish needed a second coat- once I paid and was about to leave, one of the woman working there noticed me constantly glancing at my toes. I told her that you can see through the first coat, she agreed and applied a second coat. The variety of colors is great, payment was easy (they accept Venmo and other online payment methods or cash (they have an ATM on site)), but I don't know if that was all worth the actual service. Upon entering I was greeted with stares and no real customer service. I got a gel mani/pedi and the services were decent EXCEPT that they both "come with" a 5 MINUTE massage which is a complete lie. There's a tiny squirt of lotion rubbed in for about 5 SECONDS and then you are sent on your way. I'm also highly troubled by the fact that I left a manicure having any hang nails at all. That said, the space was horrendously dirty, there were nail clippings every where and neither of my technicians sanitized their tools between clients. It also smelled horrible and a guy getting a manicure commented about it on his way out. I was shocked because they are always so busy, but I guess the other customers don't care, which is great -- to each their own. The prices are low and the work is good but I will never go back.
