Although the staff was nice, they barely spoke English so it was difficult to communicate. The place was not very clean. I'm unsure when the last time the state inspected it for cleanliness. I never write reviews, but this place had me in tears with their behavior. This nail salon has clearly confused me with someone else. They claimed I was rude and "scary," but I was never a regular and hadn't even been there since December of last year because I was giving my nails a break from gel. In May, I came back and they they started canceling my appointments with no explanation. When my sister asked why they kept canceling on me they told her because I was difficult and scary. It really feels like they mistook me for another Black woman and didn't care to verify. Instead, they made false assumptions and denied me service. Very good-- it's a solid manicure/ pedicure, with no extra frills (like massage chairs) for a really great price.

I've been here at least 25 times and the worst experience I've had is they cut me once. Every time I get gel extensions here they never lift and last until my next visit. I've had gel-x on me for 2 months. No kidding. It probably could have lasted longer but my nails were too long. The prices are very reasonable and the ladies have good attention to detail usually. There is a bit of language barrier but we're here for nails, not therapy. My only recommendation: - If you can afford to, they're the least busy before noon on weekdays. This is good so they don't have to rush or swap between customers, but even when they do it's still good work. It's appointment only, but if you call in you can see if they're free to take you as a walk-in. Sometimes they don't answer, just call again in a bit. And also note even if you make an appointment, you may still be waiting 10-30 minutes, so if you're on a time crunch maybe come earlier, but expect to wait sometimes. read more

I just had a long day and needed some TLC. I looked up Nail Salon in my area and walked into Kim's place! She normally doesn't take walk-ins but like I said, it was a nail emergency! She was super gracious and I only had to wait 20ish mins! I'm allergic to gel manicures and every location I've ever been to, including this one, gave me a fuss because they all seem to hate regular nail polish. Still, Kim did my nails and did them perfectly. $16 for my regular manicure is not bad at all. My eyebrow threading costs close to that! Lots of people in the below reviews complain that the staff and Kim talk too much in Vietnamese but honestly if I knew no one was listening and I did peoples hands for 18 years for 9 hours a day at $20/an hour I probably would talk sh--- all day too. read more

Kim's nails offers very affordable gel manicure and pedicures! I came in with a detailed design I wanted for a special event, and the manicurist did it beautifully! One star is removed because I believe they used gel polish for my regular pedicures without curing the polish. I got two regular pedicures back-to-back from Kim's and when I took the polish off on my own at home a month later, I noticed my toe nails looked very different. I asked my doctor because I thought it might be a vitamin deficiency or maybe fungal, but she ran blood tests and said it looked more like what can happen from gel polish not being cured. So I would recommend trying to verify that it is not gel polish if you are getting a regular pedicure, to avoid the hassle of damaged nails. I will likely come back since the services are so efficient and affordable, I might just stick to manicures for a bit unfortunately. read more

I came here for the first time. Made an appointment two days prior and I'm glad they were able to accommodate! It's in a small plaza and parking gets hectic; I ended up parking on the street, but it was fine. For a gel manicure and regular pedicure, I paid $42 which was such a great price. The work done was excellent as well. They get busy and I had to wait a little bit after the pedicure. They have an overwhelmingly huge collection of colors which was awesome!! But today, I just wanted white for my nails. They do take precautions. They make sure you wash your hands and sanitize before you choose the colors you want. All the ladies here are also double masked and there's a plastic barricade on top of each station. Overall experience was great and will definitely be back again. I've debated keeping this place to myself but I get stopped and asked all the time about my nails. I see Tran for my gel manicures and she's SO good. She truly perfects my nails. Each application is so even and thoughtfully applied, she takes her time when shaping and I've never had an issue! I get gel on my natural nails and she applies enough so that's it's opaque but also still thin. I've gone to other salons and the application is thick and not to my liking but this spot is LEGIT. The owner is super nice and friendly and funny and I really look forward to my appointments. I've been coming here since March, and I don't plan on switching it up. I think I found my spot. The only thing (this has nothing to do with the salon) is the parking can be tricky. There is street parking available before 4 pm. Sometimes there is parking in the strip mall lot but the restaurant takes up a few spots for valet and the availability goes quickly so I suggest showing up early and giving yourself time to find parking. It's worth it. Pricing is amazing as well! I get chrome so that's of course an extra charge but I'm happy to pay. I've only seen Tran and I recommend her to everyone! Friendly staff, very welcoming. Oh, another tip! Make your follow up appointment after your service. They get BUSY! I've made the mistake trying to get a same day appointment and they were understandably booked. I've been faithful and consistently going here for 25+ years...not after today. The vibe changed since Tran left which was my go-to person. I had already had a bad experience with attitude with the new girls about few weeks ago when Diep, the owner was out of town. I still decided to go back since it's the only place I have ever gone even though I live about 45 min away. Today I walked in about 20 min before my 12pm appointment. Diep asked me who I wanted for Pedi, I told her and she said I would need to wait an hour, when I stated I had a 12pm appointment she said I never specified who I wanted. Even though I have been going there for over 25 years. She then said if I didn't want to wait I can go. I am appalled, after the loyalty I have given this business, I was treated so terrible.
