I got a gel manicure here recently, and while the salon itself is nice, the application was poorly done. The color was uneven and patchy, and it seemed like the polish hadn't been cured or dried properly (it started looking messy almost immediately and even started to chip, see photos). When I went back the next day to get it fixed, the salon did redo the nails at no extra charge, which I really appreciated. However, the nail tech made me feel uncomfortable by blaming me for the issue rather than just correcting it professionally. I left feeling awkward instead of taken care of. I'm grateful they fixed the manicure, but the overall service and attitude left me hesitant to return. read more

Donna had no problem making this happen for me and I could tell from the moment she began that she knew what she was doing. My pedicure is absolutely gorgeous, but I wish a massage was included in the service. When I first walked in I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they confirmed they could give me the design I wanted. When she was finally ready to start on the design I quickly realized she could NOT do this simple heart. She had to call another employee to try and the photo posted is the work of the second employee. They then tried to gaslight me and make me feel like it was my fault. First they tried to blame it on the color I chose. I told them the color shouldn't have anything to do with the shape of the heart.. then another employee made comments like "well you can't be mad it's not an easy design" and "this is close enough" I ended up having them remove the "design" and just got a basic color. There was no way I was paying an extra $30 for this. I wouldn't even be so upset if they didn't tell me themselves that they could definitely do this design for me. It's not fair. read more

Discriminatory! I brought my mom to this place just as they changed owners and we both had manicures and pedicures and had great service. So we thought today my brother and I would bring my mom back to have a manicure. Mind you, my mom had a stroke that left her paralyzed on one side so when she gets a manicure we have to open her left hand because it is paralyzed shut. But we've never had a problem with any nail places having us do that. We never leave her alone, we stay and help the manicurist with my mom's frozen hand. An hour and a half ago my brother and I brought my mom back here for a manicure. When we walked in, we asked for an appointment and two of the ladies started speaking in their language and then turned to us to say "no we have a big appointment coming". When we inquired how long of a wait, they spoke to each other for almost a minute and then they answered "oh too long you can't wait". Most people would take this at face value and leave. Unfortunately for them, my mom, my brother and I speak their language... I won't disclose the language as we don't want people to stereotype all nail places as doing this. But Violet's does do this: when we asked if they had an appointment they turned to each other and asked if anyone wanted to do the crippled ladies hand and all of them answered no and to tell us they are busy. WHAT?! The lady that was sitting in the far back told the girl up front at the desk to tell us that their appointment would be too long and we shouldn't wait. Then they giggled about my mom's hand and how no one wants to do the manicure! Now, had they been honest and just said they didn't want to do her paralyzed hand, we would have accepted that and said to do just the one that is not frozen or we would have thanked them and gone to another place but the fact that they lied to us and then made fun of my mom made us angry. To give them the benefit of the doubt, I went back an hour later to see if they we're full and of course, there was only ONE client they were working on, while the rest were sitting around eating. Really? Super rude, super discriminatory, and very offensive. They think people don't understand what they're saying, luckily we happen to understand the language! I highly suggest not to give Violet nail salon any of your business. They do say things behind your back and do make fun of you so take your business somewhere else where they are happy to serve you regardless of your condition! read more

This was my first time coming here so I made an appointment and was able to come in same day. They have easy parking so that was a plus. When I walked in there were only 2 other guests and a few employees; some helping guests some waiting for walk ins. I sat down and was flipping through their gel color selection but noticed that they didn't have many colors to choose from. If your like me, then a wide variety of colors is always a plus when deciding on one. I picked out the best option I could find and the nail tech started working on my acrylic fill. She was nice and made sure to confirm my desired length and shape, but during the whole process she seemed to be rushing. When I usually get this done, they apply one smooth layer of fill. This nail tech kept putting on more and more. Some of my nails were so thick with the fill that she had to sand them down extra to try and even them. With that said, some of my nails aren't shaped all the same and there's fill that spilled under my nail that she didn't clean off and is still there now. Overall I wished that she would've took her time and maybe it would've been a different experience but don't think I'll be returning. And not to mention, I usually pay $35 for a fill before tip, but she charged me $60. I did have two new tips put on but even still that is way overpriced for the service I received.
