This place is bomb. The fish is very fresh and the poke bowls are delicious. They give you big scoops of the fish and it's at a good price (~$9). The philly roll is where it's at. $5.99 for a philly roll that has huge pieces of salmon in it. I've never found a place that offers a philly roll this cheap with that much salmon. It's probably best if you take your food to go as the place is pretty small inside but that doesn't bother me. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

My first time patronizing this place, Googled best "poke" nearby in area. Due to all the rave reviews, just thought to be adventurous and try. Had ordered there size large salad which the protein choices are portioned using approximately 1 oz size ice cream scooper, level not heaping. Equal to 3 level teaspoons. Sadly not use to such itty bitty portion size from other poke establishments. Oh well! So, it gets better, as I am standing there in front of the cash register to pay, at this point Im noticing how dang hot and kind of stagnant inside this place, it was about 3:30 p.m. no customers on a weekday in July. According to the small wall air conditioning unit it read 76 degrees. I mentioned how hot it was to the owner, she kindly knocked it down to 74, a couple notches but I had just had to leave at that point. I decided to get a coffee, relax at the Starbucks in the same parking lot to write you this review instead. I was really not in the mood today to even bother getting my $13 bucks back. Service was great, food was not. Ordered (to-go) a regular bowl with white rice, yellowtail and salmon, added crab ($1) and avocado ($1), and spicy mayo. Rice was mealy and flavorless, fish had fishy taste and smell. Avocado tasted like frozen store-bought guacamole. Crab was the only ingredient with any depth of flavor, and I'm being pretty charitable there. $9.45 and I had to throw most of it away. Closest poki place to home and it was a big bummer. read more

Poki Ya isn't your typical Poke joint. This place loads you up on the fish and the toppings for a fairly reasonable price. I have been here on numerous occasions and have yet to be disappointed. I went to check it out based on the positive feedback from fellow yelpers. Pokiya is probably the best I've been to and it's cheaper than other places. From the outside it doesn't look all that great but... Who judges a book by its cover? I'd like to describe Poki Ya as a hole in the wall. Give it a try and don't be shocked at the lack of tables and seats. Try their shoyu sauce with the spicy hot sauce combined. If you don't like rice like myself, go for a bed of lettuce instead. :) read more

Poki-HELL-Ya!! I love this place!! The basic bowl is only $8.50 and includes 3 scoops of protein, avocado, and crab - all INCLUDED - no up charge for mixing fish types, avocado, or brown rice! There are currently 8 types of fish you can choose from and tamago/egg too. The spicy sauce packs a punch and I love the fresh raw onion they add to it. If you're new to poke bowl, it's basically deconstructed sushi rolls in a bowl and wayyy cheaper. I just wish Poki Ya had a few more tables and a better parking lot, but even with those flaws, this is the best poke bowl I've ever had and it's heads and shoulders above that other poke place in town. read more

This is probably the best Poke place in Orange. I come here maybe 2-3 times a week just because I can't get enough! Their fish is always fresh and tasty and their toppings go so well with the fish; I always get white rice, crab, two scoops of Salmon, Spicy Tuna, Yellowtail and Shrimp. They have 4 different types of sauces, of which you can mix and create your own sauce! I always get the spicy mayo and the miso. And that is just 11 bucks! Pretty cheap for all that fish if you ask me. The guy who owns the place is also the coolest guy; he's always friendly, has a smile on his face and even knows me and my girlfriend by name since we come here so often! I love poke and was excited to check this place out as it is fairly close to my house. I went for lunch last week and had a great experience! Both the employees were super friendly and the bowl was delicious (I got the three scoop bowl with three scoops of salmon). Solid poke joint and friendly service. For the price, pretty good portion sizes and decent freshness for the fish. All the 'standard' items that should be included are included at no extra charge (e.g. scoop of masago, avocado, crabmeat, cucumber, etc). Their sauces aren't bad, but my wife and I agreed that there wasn't quite enough sauce mixed in with the fish (or for whatever reason it just ended up not being as flavorful as we expected). It was a solid poke place but there isn't much room to sit inside and the portions are not as big when compared to other local poke spots. The topping options are limited too and you have to pay extra for seaweed salad. Super fresh! I was having a poke craving and helped nearby places. This new place in Orange is legit. Fresh ingredients and a killer price! The service was super friendly, they offered for me to try the sauces before choosing which I appreciated. The portion is huge, I got the regular size (they also have large) and I will definitely have leftovers. Yum!!! So fresh and delicious! I actually CRAVE their poki bowls, which I can't say about too many restaurants. I get the poki bowl with chips (I suggest asking for them on the side - easier), spicy tuna, salmon, and regular tuna with spicy mayo and crab. You get a very decent amount of fish even with the three scoop. My only hack suggestion would be to skip the avocado and go across the street and buy one at Stater Bros. You don't get very much for the extra $1 charge. It's better to buy a whole one for $1 and then add it when you get home - if you're an avocado lover like me. Really fabulous poki-bowl. I work nights and my husband was kind enough to get me a "to go" poki yesterday...of course I was too busy at work to eat it and it sat in the fridge till I got home this morning. I was coming back from an interview and I was craving for poke nearby Orange. Knowing that I was too lazy to go to Tustin, I decided to yelp and chose to go to Poki Ya because it was only 3 miles away. Kid you not, I do not regret with my decision. Fish that they prepared are very fresh and owners who helped me out to make a bowl were very kind. Sauce wise, I would recommend a mix of soy sauce and red chili sauce because this combo really kicks the poke bowl even more. The atmosphere may be small for you to sit down and eat but this poke is perhaps one of the best poke stops I have visited so far. Definitely be coming back soon read more
