I've come here a few times over recent months and have never experienced any problems. Today I came in and purchased a large bowl with half brown rice and half salad. After purchasing my meal, I sat down, and after eating a bit, my friend and I had noticed there was a dead fly wrapped in a piece of lettuce. It completely ruined my appetite and did not want to eat anymore. The owner gave me a full refund and offered me a free bowl and drink, but to be honest I just did not want to eat there at the time. I hope management checks their products more before giving it to their customers. read more

This place was awesome, fresh, healthy and tasty! Concept is very simple, is like having a goodie bag with dessert except super healthy, took my kids here, as young as they are they love tasty food, specially because they are gluten allergen, this was perfect, of course we did not have "soy sauce" we had tuna, salmon & albacore tuna. For kids at times its hard to make them eat fish but mine....I trained them early....love, love this place. Hope they are consistent and not get sloppy over time. I will be back! read more

RACIST Employees!! Not all but a few. I have been coming here for about a year now and it seems like too much of a coincidence that every time I go there they jip me a lot with the veggies and rice! But the Asian person ahead of me (every time) gets almost double with the same size bowl! The sad thing is that all I get there is brown rice and veggies (no fish). I even say in advance that is all I'm getting. This didn't happen once or twice, it happens almost every single time!!! I bet this would NOT happen if I were Asian. Especially when it's the older lady working. Maybe she just doesn't like me or the way I look? I need to find another poke spot where they have a good variety of veggies. Any recommendations? This place did not disappoint! Good price, great serving size, awesome toppings, and fresh fish! I've tried quite a few poke places and many have been good, but none have included the range of toppings they had. Cilantro and pineapple weren't things I would immediately think of, but they added a unique flavor to the poke. I will definitely be back!! read more

Been going to this place since I started my new job last year and it's been my favorite poke spot around the area..went recently and they gave me a whole lot of rice but three really tiny scoops of fish. It was also abnormally warm inside the room, can't be good since it's an establishment that sells raw fish. Not sure if offering a stamp card makes up for the con's of this place.. read more

This is my go-to poke place. They always have a fresh poke and really good service. It's definitely on the pricier side, but the portions are HUGE. You will not be disappointed with the quality of the poke as well. I remember eating this for the first time and being so amazed at how fresh the poke is! You have the option to choose many different fishes and sides as well. You could also do half and half which is half rice and half lettuce. I couldn't even finish the whole bowl because it was soo big. The workers are also super friendly and they try to PACK your poke bowl. You get what you pay for, but at this place you get MORE than what you pay for. I would recommend this place above any other poke place, to be honest. When we first starting coming to this spot it was great , served their portions with love. As time passed and now the present, they are very Stingy on their sides (step 2) and (step 3) fish pours . Each side is equivalent to a small baby tablespoon. But they will happy to give you extra rice! Very disappointed. Hopefully they change their ways soon read more

This is definitely a frequent spot for lunch during the week. The concept is very simple and written out for you when you enter the restaurant. And you can pretty much be guaranteed to be totally satisfied with your meal, as long as you love fish of course. I usually get the salmon and spicy tuna with shrimp. They used to have spicy salmon but for whatever reason they don't anymore. They also don't have volcano #3 anymore, it's Loco now. And it's amazing. I try not to eat here too much because it can get pricy. Roughly $9 for a reg. bowl. But if I feel like splurging and not eating too unhealthy, this is the spot. Also, beware of the parking lot from 12-1pm on the weekdays. It gets super packed because the lot is so small. 7-eleven threatens to tow if you park in their spots so either beat the rush, wait, or have a friend drop you off and loop around. read more

This place is good but it's okay. I think I'm so used to pokinometry in Anaheim that this place just wasn't cutting it for me. They have LOTS of toppings and different fish to choose from. Something about the fish wasn't right though. It's definitely not a bad place to get your poke fix though! I think I just prefer a poke bowl with lots of flavor. read more

About 4 weeks ago I went to this restaurant and enjoyed it immensely. I thought that everything tasted fresh and the customer service was great. But when I tried to go back during lunch time there was no parking and the lot was a mess. It wouldn't normally bother me but for the 4 empty spots in front reserved for the phone repair company with signs saying they would tow. 5 stars for taste. 1 star for parking so I will average it out at 3. I accidently stumbled upon this place when I stopped by autozone last weekend. I work down the street and was excited at the fact that there was finally a Poke place. I have tried a couple of places around Orange county and I would say the quality of fish here is good compared to other places. The portions are ok, I am not sure why, but the scoops look really tiny, I did get a large with double salmon, yellowtail, spicy salmon and scallop, and a bunch of extras, which did fill me up. I also like the fact that I can have add ons such as avocado at no additional charge, unless you ask for extra portions. The place is pretty small, seating for about 30 people or less, the parking lot is also a pain aroud 3pm when school gets out so just be prepared. Poki monster is an unbelievably delicious Poki spot around the Brea area. Their staff is friendly, happy and always being extra sanitary while dealing with our food. Chrissy usually makes my Poki bowl with a smile and always satisfied with how it's made! They wear a face mask to prevent contamination and always wear gloves when dealing with our food. Also had really bad customer service here. The girl was very rude, no greeting or anything when you walk in just a "what do you want". Then another customer came in while I was ordering and she started taking both of our orders at the same time like she was in a rush or something, like girl you're closing tonight what's your hurry. Went through everything really fast and didn't put any care into it. To top it off, and she did this like 3 times, when a piece of food would get stuck on her glove she used her non-glove hand to take it off and put it in the plate. Idk but that sounds like a health code violation of you ask me. I can honestly say I've only been here a couple of times and each time something's been wrong. The last time the two young guys working were super slow and didn't know how to use the register if you were paying with card so they gave bowls away for free. This is probably my least favorite poke spot in the area, but this is only my opinion based on flavors. Their spicy tuna option is tuna cubed and covered in chili sauce. It's not the normal spicy tuna that's ground up and I was really disappointed by this. Also, their sauce options are odd. They have ponzu, soy and a variety of spicy sauces (I can't remember them all), however, I didn't know which ones tasted good together. I had to pick 3 and they didn't really help me when I asked what tastes good together and I ended up with a funky tasting poke. Other poke spots give sauce options like spicy, mild, dynamite, etc and you know what it's going to taste like. It was good poke, just not great poke. I was also slightly confused with the ordering process in the beginning but now that I've been once, I think I'm a veteran. The preparer for our poki was a young server, who patiently detailed what we can put into our bowls. However, later, an older chef/owner came to mix our bowls did something that greatly concerned me. I saw him mix the other people's bowl after he put on his gloves, then proceed to wash the sink without taking his gloves off, then proceed to mix my bowl of poki without changing into a new set of gloves. After a good work out I wanted to try this place, and might I say I'm surprised with the positive reviews because this was the worst poke bowl I have ever had. I never had a bad poke experience until the day I tried here. They were real cheap with the fish scoops and when I took my bite my fish tasted icy it was still frozen several bites in there were a couple of frozen pieces and for the first time in my life I through away food. One of the workers asked me how I enjoyed my meal I replied politely "it would've been good if my fish wasn't icy". His answer to that was "yes sorry the tuna is still frozen". They knew that the fish was not ready to serve but yet they still served it. Would I give this place another chance? Yes if it was free but I don't plan on spending money giving it a second chance. read more
