I come to Pho Ha once in a while due to work being close by. My go to order is a small bowl of #8 pho and spring rolls. The broth is always flavorful and comforting. The times I've dined in, you're greeted at the entrance and can choose any table or booth to sit in. The wait isn't very long and the food arrives in a timely manner.

I really liked the food here - we stopped in here after a rainy day and needed Pho to warm up. The wait was a little long considering we waited the longest for Pho - I've been to several other places where the Pho comes out as soon as you order. I tried the chicken pho and the beef stir fry noodles. The beef dish was sooo flavorful, but some of the beef was a little tough. The pho tasted good and there was enough for leftovers. The workers were all kind and the place was very clean. They had a decent amount of people eating in there on this rainy day, so maybe that's why the food was a little slower for take out. The only other thing is it was kind of expensive! I spend $44 on broth and beef noodles that they classified as spaghetti noodles ... a little steep, but if you can swing it, it's still a tasty bite.

I moved here from Westminster (Little Saigon) and have been coming to this spot for over 10 years. This location consistently delivers some of the best service and Vietnamese food around. It even gets full approval from my brother, who's from Vietnam--so that says a lot. The wide variety of dishes keeps things exciting and lets you appreciate different flavors and parts of the culture. The restaurant is always clean and well-kept, even on the busiest days. Highly recommend.

Spring rolls has both shrimp And pork.

This isn't the best pho I've ever had but it hits the spot and the price is even better. I love that they give noodle and meat refills for a low price. The tendon in the pho is good quality- my favorite meat in pho is tendon so I always get this and usually it's not great quality but I loved the tendon here. I did not feel the rare steak was great quality tho. I liked how the spring rolls had both pork and shrimp. Not just one or the other. Also, every single patron in here was Asian - speaks volumes. Will return.

Very appreciative of the bun bo hue here. The broth is "cleaner" than more authentic BBH but still gets the job done. Service is okay, nothing extraordinary.

Grissle and not edible

Pho Ga was awful. Chicken was all grissle. The manager just ignored me. Paid and left. Don't waste your money

Pho Ha is that OG type of pho restaurant that has the uniform and consistent taste across all of its locations. It certainly is not my favorite however it is local to where I work and my husband and I will stop by every now and then for a quick and hot lunch. You can expect to get your bowl out within five minutes or less however, other items on the menu may require some addt time. I ordered a new item on their menu today, banh khot and it did take a while longer however it was worth it. It's not the best that I've had however, it certainly satisfied my cravings, was freshly made, and flavorful. I do wish that there were more lettuce to wrap it up in.. we received two lettuce leaves that were cut in half and there were a total of eight banh khot.. not exactly enough to wrap however I still did inhale the dish. I'm sure the next time then I'm back here. I'll order this dish again in advance just to have enough time to be able to properly enjoy and not dine & dash.

I went here with my friend for lunch and I'll say the food is pretty decent for the price. The restaraunt was clean, service was good, and there was no wait. However, I have definitely been to better Vietnamese places in SoCal. The Nem Nuong Cuon was delicious but the Com Tam was only ok. The meat was dry which threw off the dish for me. The portion size was good and it filled me up. I wouldn't order the dish again but I would maybe come back to try other dishes in the future if I'm in the area and craving Vietnamese food.

This place is wonderful !! I've been coming here for years to get my pho fix, but every plate has amazing flavor. The quality of the food is really great. Darren and Mindy are so friendly and provide great service, they always have a smile.

Looks very pretty

Been coming here for years but wasn't able to make it out here in the last year. I was craving their clay pot (fried rice with an egg on top). Food came out piping hot and still sizzling. The clay pot was just as good as I remember it. I could ay maybe the egg rolls could be a little crispier but they are still sooo delicious. The way their fish sauce is prepared is very good and their picked garnish on the egg roll plate really elevated the flavor of the dish. I'm so glad to come back after a year and it being just as good as I remember. I'll keep driving the 20-25 min drive to eat here. Staff was busy working but on top of it. Will definitely be back soon.

Green Tomato Grill -- Hits the Spot Every Time…read more Sometimes you just want food that actually makes you feel good after you eat it... Green Tomato Grill is that place. Fresh, clean, and reasonably priced; it's the kind of spot that earns a regular spot in your rotation without putting a dent in your wallet. If you're only going to take one piece of advice, let it be this: order the vegan breakfast burrito. It is filling in the best possible way, the kind of meal that carries you through the whole day and has you already thinking about the next visit before you've even finished it. It just hits the spot. The crispy cauliflower is worth every bite too... perfectly done and the kind of dish that makes you forget you're eating something good for you. And the house salad? Refreshing, simple, and a solid reminder that when ingredients are quality, you don't need to overthink it. For anyone navigating dietary needs, Green Tomato Grill quietly delivers. Excellent gluten free options, solid vegan choices, and a menu that doesn't make you feel like an afterthought for having them. Whether you're plant based, gluten free, or just looking for something lighter that doesn't sacrifice flavor, this place has you covered. Service isn't going to blow you away, nothing overly warm or memorable, but they take care of you quickly and efficiently and honestly sometimes that's exactly what you need. No fuss, no long waits, just get in, eat well, and get on with your day. And here's the thing that keeps me coming back... consistency. You always know what you're going to get here. No off days, no guessing, no crossing your fingers hoping it's as good as last time. It just is. Every time. That kind of reliability is honestly underrated and harder to find than it should be. Overall it's just good, honest food that refreshes rather than weighs you down. Highly recommend making this one a regular stop.

If the bold title tells me what the kids/small bowl comes with, I am confused why am I paying an extra $2 for a chicken protein. I was told because I had to refer to another menu that gives protein pricing. But again you can't say for $7.96 you get protein and 2 veggies. It is very misleading and the menu needs updating. On to food: I order chili verde sauce and got teriyaki. The teriyaki was a bit salty for my liking but it definitely needed sauce because the rice and beans is dry. Chicken on its own was okay. I rate the bowl 3/5 Ambiance was nice and it looked very clean inside. Staff was helpful and gave options on what to pick. Sad I didn't get the chili verde. I'm sure it would have probably went better with the meal. Customer service 4/5

The Al pastor had the most flavor of the three, but they were all great and served with a hearty portion of meat. Got the potato taquitos as well and they were good too, very simple in execution and so delicious! The California burrito was phenomenal as well! Great portions for all three dishes, they were shared between two people and we left stuffed and practically didn't eat the rest of the day from how filling it was. The employee at the front was sweet and the food came out quickly. Prices were also extremely reasonable, all the vegan spots I had previously gone to tended to be a little more expensive just due to the nature, but this place had great prices for the portion sizes, that alone will have me back. The restaurant itself is small but they had plenty of tables to compensate - didn't feel cramped whatsoever. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or simply wanting to try out plant-based spot, I'm pretty certain there's nothing on the menu that WOULDN'T be delicious. I'll be back soon enough!

It's a small, quaint, unassuming place, but their kitchen cranks out rich flavors. We all got different things so we could try out what they have to offer. I was the only one brave enough to try the (bulgogi) mazemen, and it did not disappoint. I followed the instructions on the table & I liked it w/ the vinegar! Another person at our table got the donkatsu w/ rice; it was gobbled up pretty quick so I imagine it was delicious. The other 2 were in the mood for tonkatsu ramen - 1 got spicy, the other, plain. It looked like there was a lot of green onions for my taste, but they didn't complain. Another hit was the karagge chicken and gyoza - both came w/ tasty sauces! The pork was crunchy on the outside and soft+succulent on the inside. I can see myself doubling up on this appetizer the next time I come. Dirty fries were great; it came with a generous amount of pickled onions - providing a really nice contrast to the savoriness of our meal. Our waiter graciously accommodated our request to have the egg on the side. Off the entrée/taco menu, my friend ordered the Korean tacos and I got the Ensenada (fish) tacos. The vibes are artsy, chill, and very laid back, and while we have our regular spots there are no bad seats. Staff are always friendly here, and even though it's seat yourself and menus are on the table for you to take your time with, they're always checking in and willing to answer questions. Elizabeth has been our server on multiple occasions and is always attentive and quick to help or communicate, and always says hi even if she isn't the one working with us directly. Dinner rush is usually a bit earlier in the evening as they do see a lot of older clientele, but it typically varies based on weekday vs weekend and if there's a local event happening in downtown Fullerton. The patio is large with plentiful seating, a warm fireplace, dogs are allowed, and if there's live music happening at the museum down the street you can usually hear it. Our favorites are the nachos, killer chili, Leeky soup, and any of their salads. Price is a good value, especially considering the portion size, we can usually get at least two meals out of an entree. We love trying the new dollar dip flavor every month. Cookies are made in-house and very good, an easy and affordable treat to grab on the way out. We've brought vegan and vegetarian friends here and they can always find something to eat. Highly recommend as a place to come to when you want to sit and hang out for a bit to relax and have a good meal, whether alone or with a group.

If you step through the doorway and your first thought is, gosh, there must be a college campus…read morearound here, you'd be right. Rutabegorz (pronounced like the vegetable: "ROO-tah-BAY-gorz") is a short protest march away from Cal-State Fullerton as well as Fullerton Community College here in Southern California, and is across the street from an Anglican church that looks like an old Sixties, social justice kind of house of worship. The place is actually kind of hard to find, since from the outside it looks like any other ivy-covered brick building that houses the bookstores and headshops that cling, lamprey-like, to institutions of higher learning. Inside, the décor is a funky hodge-podge, not in the calculated way that a place like TGI-Friday's is crafted, but the way you'd imagine post-hippie entrepreneurs would decorate their restaurant labor-of-love. That introduction should prepare you for the food, which is as anti-corporate as you'd imagine from the place's looks. The vegetarian dishes are numerous and hearty the way you'd expect vegetarian dishes wouldn't be, somehow filling and richly satisfying. The ratatouille is savory, the vegetarian burrito bean-y and substantial, the falafel wrap is a little dry but will sit in the pit of your stomach in a satisfying way. The hummus is a lumpy, almost cottage cheese-like interpretation of the dish which could use a little more flavor but isn't bad. The food tastes homemade, the vegetables as though they were actually, at one point in their existences, raw. The meals are as nourishing physically as a Marilynne Robinson novel is spiritually. For those who are worried, the restaurant isn't exclusively vegetarian, and although I haven't had a bunch of the meat dishes, what I have had has continued on the theme of minimally processed foods. The-Walnut-That-Kissed-The-Chicken is a nice take on the chicken salad sandwich, spread thick between two slabs of squaw bread that make it as much a mouthful to eat as it is to say, and the chicken tastes like it was actually boiled and then chopped by hand. We still live in a society driven by consumption, not even the peacenik greenie-types are unaffected, and you can tell by the size of the portions - you invariably have to take some home. Salads come in gigantic blue plastic basins that look as though the cook in the back thought about looking for a proper serving bowl and then just decided, aw to heck with it, I'll just serve the entire thing in the tub I tossed it in. Be sure to get a dessert anyway - the cheesecake is the sweet, tart, dense kind of thing that makes gaining talk-show kind of weight easy. The place also has a decent list of beers. I haven't tried the wines or the cocktails. I've been coming here on and off for a little over a quarter of a century now, I've seen all sorts of people sitting at the rickety wooden tables, from the Birkenstock crowd to sorority girls to Korean club-kids - wholesome food in giant portions appeals across sociopolitical lines.
