Needless to say they did not disappoint when it came to food and flavor. NEP is a modern take on mainly Vietnamese and other Asian foods. Our party of 6 were seated quite quickly with a reservation considering how packed it was inside. They had many seats and were really spacious and accommodating. We ordered the Squid Mango Salad, Crab Toast, Filet Mignon Bahn Mi, and Seafood Tom Kha Pasta. The Crab Toast was the one I was looking forward to the most and was absolutely exceeded any of our expectations. It was so savory, but not too salty, and amazingly flavorful. If you're a fan of seafood as my family as this is a must order. I also couldn't get enough of the salad. It was so fresh tasting and light and added a good balance to the rest of our meal. One of my family members loved the Bahn Mi for being different than any other he's tried. It comes as this deconstructed banh mi with the meat coming on this cast iron skillet to which you can put in the fresh bread roll. Definitely a must try. Everything else was equally as delicious, but if you were to only visit once, I think the crab toast and bahn mi are a for sure menu items to try. Service was very quick considering how busy it was and they gave us a complimentary dessert when we told them about my cousin's birthday!! I love the modern atmosphere to the restaurant. I went during the day time so I was able to see a lot of the decor and layout properly. Felt like a perfect brunch spot. It did feel very hustle and bustle considering its popularity so if you're looking for quiet, this wouldn't be the place. Parking is ample and stress free because of the lot it is located in. This has been a very warm welcome for me to the Kei Concept restaurants and cafes, so much so I am willing to make the drive out again for NEP Cafe or any of the other Kei Concept spots. So if a friend isn't craving something soupy they have other great options! There is generally a wait here, ranging from 20 minutes - 1 hour and a half on any given night so definitely plan in advance. I remember they had a Yelp waitlist as an option if you're nearby and want to check in and run errands! Upon entering, you can expect to be tended to and your order taken relatively quickly. There are a lot of tables here to seat parties of various sizes. I typically lalways get the beef pho shaken style here and it's definitely enough to fill me up. One thing to note about this place is that similar to its sister franchise (Kin Izakaya), they do unlimited noodle refills here! Definitely take advantage of that if you have the stomach for it. I usually get at least 2-3 refills on noodles every time! Some places charge for extra noodles and SUP does not! Definitely recommend! For the flavor and unlimited noodle refills!
